10 Nov - Day 4. Breda - De Bilt Part 2

When Paulien returned, we realised we had to use the bike again ^_^. This time I stated riding the bike first, as I was starting to get the hang of it. But after a while I started having a lot of problems with keeping the bike straight... It was going dangerously left and right, and everything I tried didn't make it any better, so we swapped position again, and I went back at the back.

On arrival at the flat, we decided it wouldn't be clever to go to the city center by bike, so we took my car. Good thing, because it started raining a bit, and the car was warm inside.
It was then time to visit Breda, but more by daylight this time.

The town is partly surrounded by rivers or ponds. When you arrive, there is this impressive building with its feet in the water, although I quite can't seem to recall what that building was for...

Then we entered the park, where I took a few pictures of Paulien, who happens to be a professional tree-climber ^_^.

We walked around, discoverd some weird horseshoe-like constructions that revealed themselves to be the foundations of Breda's city wall. We met a few statues and a few wild roosters, and some other curiosities...

The boy on the statue saved the woman, during some invasion... I wish I remembered better :D
