First and foremost - You may only enter your own photography, though that rule *almost* goes without saying. One entry per day, per person. If you are unable to upload every day, we understand that this is not reality and real life comes first, but please have your photos uploaded by the specified time after each round. Usually two days are given after the ten days so those that need to catch up may before judging commences. New rounds either begin after winners are announced or when there are a sufficient number of participants to compete. (This number left up to the host per circumstances that appeal to each round.) No manipulation At this point in time, I am also excluding you from putting borders around your images >_< *Nazi pixie* Simply because sometimes putting a border on a picture can really add something, and not all entrants will do that. NOTE: Black & White photos are now allowed, however no other photo manipulations are allowed. A new rule! Be sure to notice that from now on every contestant should add the date the photo has been taken in their own photowiki. That rule is to encourage to take the photo after the theme is posted instead of posting an old photo. In general we only allow new pictures, but if you have no ideas or time for taking the new photo and you have a perfect old one for the theme, you can have one or two old photos out of ten. If you add an old photo, you should post the real date, and we will allow it, but we will consider the date when voting for the winners. There is now no size limit...Just please keep them at a reasonable size for viewing >_< (One of the judges was grumbling about not being able to appreciate the pictures in their full size xD) The theme *must* be followed, but you may allow yourself to be as creative and as sneaky with that as you like :D For example: The theme might be 'orange'. You could take photos of something orange, or an orange...but not a duck sitting on the water! :D Unless it was an orange duck... It was such a huge job for me to do everyone's separate wikis the first time - so, can you put your pictures into your personal '10 Days' wiki (when it is made) when you change your photos over please ^_^ Yes, you are allowed to participate multiple times ;p 2006-08-01 [Ghost the Hybrid]: doesn't everyones butt sing after beens??

2006-08-12 [Solitary Comfort]: Whooo, got back just last night! (Despite the mess about all this terrorist action!) As I'm sure you noticed, I didn't have great internet access over in Rome, despite living literally accross the road from an internet café - which during the length of my holiday didn't have a connection once! And so I couldn't enter, or even find out about, the last 3. I was going to try and enter a photo for Inside, from inside the plane, but obviously i couldn't post it. You finish one piece of work, then get another almost straight away. You also get a lot of things that you have ages to do but, because you have other things betwixt them, you totally forget and end up running out of time. You hafta stay up all night doing them. n_n

2006-09-06 [Elmiira]: :( poor you.. though I am quite much in panic right now. :S:S We have a REALLY important tests, they are called matriculation examination or something like that, but really, they are testing all the things we have learned during the last 12 years, and they mean quite a lot if you want to get in the university. :S Of course you can deside what to "write" like we call it.. Like I have math, finnish, english, swedish, german, psychology and religion. (only swedish and german on this autumn though, the rest is left for the spring)And they really are not easy. And next week they start with the listening comprehension tests.. :S And I'm the only one in the whole school who will have the advanced level test in swedish. :S and it's quite scary because it is way harder than the normal test. And I'm in PANIC! Though okay, probably you did not understand anything (unless you are a finn) so I'll just shut up.. :S

Yeah we have the same kind of exams at the middle and end of year here. They decide whether you get into university or not. You get a score out of 100 worked out, and the higher the better.
I'll have 5 exams, and one of them will have 3 parts- the italian one. There'll be an oral examination where i talk to 2 italian teachers i've never met before in italian for 15 mins (hold up a convo), then there's the listening comprehension, and then there's the written exam... O.o
All exams start in november for me. Then i'm finished... O_O

Photography? Well, I've only had 2 lessons but I know that we're going to study developmental photography, black and white photography, and digital photography ^_^

2006-09-10 [VeraAda]: Hehe, SLRs are great. Before we used them we got to first use a wooden box with a hole in it, inside of which was stuck a piece of photographic paper. We covered up the hole tight, and once we decided what to take a photo of we put the box on a stable surface facing it, and then we uncovered the hole for about 2 minutes.... then we covered it again and ran back into the dark room to develop the picture. It worked and looked really cool.
