I would have a go of it, but I'm not a hardcore anime fan, really :p I like what I see, and I want to see more but I don't generally get to watch much :p

2010-10-19 [Kaimee]: Dendy cinemas had an anime screening recently with the new(ish) Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance movie which I went to :D It had some other anime which I've never heard of before, but liked ^^ Josh has been rewatching ghost in the shell and bleach so I see some of those, too :D

2010-10-19 [pixish]: I only just watched Spirited Away a couple of months ago ;o After I saw Ponyo... Now I kind of just collect anime series at the store and don't get to watch them ;_;

2010-10-19 [Kaimee]: Gah! You hurt my soul xD Spirited Away is just such an amazing crazy movie, I don't care if people don't generally like anime; they should watch it! Have you seen any of the other Studio Ghibli movies, like Howl's Moving Castle, Kiki's Delivery Service (adorable), Castle in the Sky...? They're all so sweet, strange and lovable - but not nearly as crazy as Spirited Away! :P

2010-10-20 [pixish]: We've seen Kiki's delivery service and My Neighbour Totoro. We have bought a couple of others for the store, like Nausicaa: valley of the wind (I think) and Princess Mononoke, but haven't watched them yet ;_;

2010-10-21 [Sliverbane]: @pixish A new Slayers came out. Slayers Revolution and Evolution -R  They brought back most of the original Japanese cast. It wasn't bad. I also watched Calymore and Darker than Black. And a crazy-funny anime called Desert Punk.

2010-10-21 [Kaimee]: Actually, I had to bake for hours for the high-tea at work today in honour of Frocktober, and I ended up watching Kiki last night - suitably sweet and baking related :)
Hi Sliverbane! What's Desert Punk? I've heard of it, but not much about it...

2010-11-09 [Sliverbane]: Desert Punk is about this guy who's a drifter/mercenary who has a tough reputation. He's really just a smart ass who gets by on wits. It's a dystopian desert world. It's very funny - lots of dirty jokes and slap stick. Some action. I watched it dubbed version...it wasn't bad if you like comedy anime. I also finished watching Black Butler. This one of for your shounen-ai enthusiasts. It's dramatic, moody, some crime solving,a little bloody with humor in there as well.  Lots of eye candy for shounen-ai lovers but not hard core yaoi. Set in turn of the 20th century England. Watched the sub-titled version - I liked the ending. 

2010-11-09 [Kaimee]: I'll keep an eye out for Desert Punk, it sounds like just my type of thing :D
