Whether you feel someone is trustworthy and active, can use proper English, is able to think logically, has about the same ideas about Elftown. I won't claim it is not easier if you already know Councilmembers. However it is not true you can't become Council if you don't know any Councilmembers. We have put people into the Council that were fairly unknown. And any Councilmember can suggest a new one, it will then be discussed. Of course it is easier to judge for the others, if they have seen you do work or seen you talk somewhere...to have an idea of what you are like.

2005-11-26 [Sunrose]: Not quite true, some people will revolt against Elftowns rules until they get banned and that is then exactly what we will do: good leadership does not mean no one will have to leave. Actually if you are a good leader, here anyway, you'll make sure the bad apples get sent away. Just as criminals get sent to prison in reality. And prison means you are taken away from regular society..

2005-11-26 [Sunrose]: You can never make everybody happy no matter what rules you have. You can't say that criminal behaviour here is depending on our leadership. Unless you blame it on the fact what we defined as criminal behaviour. Then again any community that wants to have order has to have rules, and there will always be people who violate them either because they don't know of them or because they are against them. And if they do not follow our rules when pointed out to them, they will end up banned. After all, on the internet they have plenty other places to go to that have less rules. Which makes this different from reality many times :)
