Kage woke to someone tapping on her shoulder. She opened her eyes and immediatly recognized that something was wrong." 'Bout time you woke up." Came a familiar voice behind her. She was in a classroom much like the one at her school, even the seating arrangement was identical, which could only mean that Seiketsu was the one tapping her.
She turned to face him," Where are we? Do you know?" Seiketsu shook his head and then pointed to a silver collar that was around his neck.
"No, but think about it. Sleeping Gas, Silver Collar, Junior High students getting kidnapped. The events only relate to one thing." Seiketsu was referring to the one thing that the Junior High School students of the Republice of Greater East Asia feared.
Kage reached up reflexively and felt the metal around her neck. "Oh, Sei-kun, you don't think..." Kage trailed off when she noticed that her classmates where waking. She could guess that the first though that crossed everyones mind was wether or not this was a dream Kage had the same thought.
Everyone quieted down as the door opened. A tall man in a military unifrom walked in. He had a sadistic smile on his face. "Welcome students he said. I'm sure you're all wondering why you're hear so I will just sklip to the point you are hear to kill each other. Welcome to this year's 'Program'."
Some of the girls screamed. Reiko Sachiko(Female Student number 17) fainted. Only Kage and Seiketsu remained calm. They knew what was going on. They knew that their instructor knew about their knowledge of 'The Program'. This was the way of the game.
"Silence." Said the 'Intructor', "The next person that makes a sound will be killed." The man in the military uniforms next to him smiled at this. Kage shivered. "I am your intructor, Kioteku Mitsuragi. I'd like to welcome you all to Seki-rei Island. Only one of you will be leaving here alive."
Seki-rei? Wondered Seigi Chikara(Male Student number 1) he knew a lot about geography but the name Seki-Rei wasn't familiar to him. Could the Republic have gained control of a new island?
How ironic, though Seiketsu sarcasticly, that come here to kill us and yet they name the Island after the Wagtail...a symbol of hope. Most of the people here will have no hope when they learn the rules.
"The next order of business will be the rules. Rule one is to kill. Rule two is not to be killed. Now for the basics. Those collars around your neck will explode if you try to take them off, escape the island, or enter a forbidden zone. Forbidden Zones are area's that have been called off randomly twice a day. You will mark these off a map provided for you.
"Each of you will recieve a daypack, Inside will be food and a random weapon." As if on cue two more men dragged in several daypacks and made a pile. "As you leave you will each take a pack. You can keep whatever bags you brought with you." Kage and Seiketsu noticed for the first time that their comping bags were at their feet. No phones will work on thsi island, neither will pagers.
"Next, at least one person must be killed everyone twent-four hours. If no one is dead within that time frame then everyone's collars will go off. Any questions?"
One of the more daring students raised his hand. he was Zabieru Kinpatsu(Male Student number6). Kioteku nodded. "Why do we have to do this?! It's stupid and pointless."
Kioteku's gaze hardened. He nodded to the man next to him. The man left. When he returned he was with two other men, they were hauling a black bag. "Zaiberu Kinpatsu, right?" Zaiberu nodded, "This is what happens to people who question the Republic's reasons. The three men unzipped the bag, everyone fell silent accept for one girl who screamed.
