The Ghost House
Aaron sighed, his features softened as he turned into his 'neutral' form.
Bekah blinked, as she looked up at the ghost boy. "Who..?" she began.
Aaron looked back down at her. "Bekah. I'm Aaron."
Misu meandered and drifted on the bottom of the lake, playing with a few cold resistant fishes.
Bekah's eyes widened as she stared up at the familiar face of her dead best friend. "No." she whispered before wiggling violently. "NO! This can't be! HELP!!" she screamed, completely shook up. "HELP! PUT ME DOWN! WHO ARE YOU?" she exclaimed.
Aaron's face dropped, as he put her down and watched her scramble over to Greyson.
"You! You're human, right?" Bekah managed to say as she fell into Greyson's arms. "Help me. He..he..he. He lies..he's not Aaron. Wh-who is he?" she stammered, sobbing into Greyson's coat. Completely shocked from the whole experience.
Kyle was walking around the neighborhood rather proud of himself for just fighting off another of those weird guys in the cloaks. The thought of why his clothes weren't torn despite having been thrashed for the first half of the fight didn't cross his mind, he simply felt invincible.
Misu surfaced after a bit and saw Bekah and Greyson. "Hey.... human...!" She stopped and stared at a silvery person walking down the street. "Hey... Aaron... we have ourselves a new ghost." She walked over to Aaron and pointed at Kyle.
Greyson put his arm around Bekah and patted her shoulder. "Yes... I'm human... You're a medium, miss. You can see the dead. So he probably IS Aaron, love." He said soothingly.
Kyle looked over to see people pointing at him and stopped and stared back at them for a moment.
Aaron blinked, not quite out of his trance and peered over at the new comer. He couldn't stop thinking of the terribly scene that just happened. He thought Bekah would be overjoyed to see him again, but man was he wrong. Aaron sighed, shrinking into his shy/sad state.
Bekah sniffled, coming back to reality feeling quite dense by the way she just acted. Still clenching to Greyson's coat, she sneaked a peak over at where 'Aaron' was and saw the small boy. "I'm a..what?" she finally asked Greyson, clearly new to so many ghosts at once.
Seeing them go back to doing whatever they were doing Kyle decided to walk on over to them. "Hi there, I'm Kyle."
Misu smiled and held out her hand. "Misu. How'd you die?" she bluntly asked.
Greyson turned Bekah around to look at Aaron. "a Medium. A person who can see ghosts, feel them, talk to them."
Bekah blinked, looking at the sad little boy. "So. It's like they never died..except now they can fly and junk." she stated, looking back at Greyson. "So whats the difference?" she asked.
Greyson watched Misu sadly. "They are here for a reason, and until they find that reason, they dont ever leave..." He laughed. "I'm still trying to find out why Misu is here. What about Aaron? Any thoughts?"
Bekah shook her head. "No.. I.. I wouldn't know why he would want to stay here." she frowned. "So, why..how did Misu die? I mean if you don't mind!" she quickly corrected herself, watching the ghosts converse with the new comer.
Greyson looked at Misu again. "I'll teach you something that took me years and years to learn..." He stood behind Bekah and put his hands on her shoulders. "It helps if you're close to where they died..." He slid his hands down her arms to her hands. "Now, relax and open your mind... You feel Aaron? Misu? That new ghost?" He closed his own eyes. "It's like seeing them in negative, but the ghosts are in full colour." He grasped Bekah's hands and clenched them into fists. "This is called 'Seeing', for obvious reasons.... You ready?"
Bekah blushed slightly and closed her eyes, nodding. Unsure on what will happen, but so far so good.
"alright... can you see them?" Greyson zoomed in his 'sight' on Misu. "If you can, focus everything on Misu..." Step by step, he showed her how to view the ghost's death by examining the aura around their heart. "So, misu died tragically. She pushed a kid out from infront of a car, got hit herself, and drowned after she hit her head on a rock at the bottom of the lake. No one found her for a few hours because her belt got stuck on a branch on the bottom..." He opened his eyes and let Bekah try.
"I see it." Bekah nodded, and focused her 'sight' on the one who declared himself as Aaron. "Oh.. he died by a school shooting. He..saw the boy pointing his gun at me and jumped in the way right before the guy shot. He died in my arms.." Bekah opened her eyes, tears streaming from them. "It..it is Aaron." she gasped, moving away from Greyson and running to the kid. "Aaron!" she exclaimed, scooping him up into an embrace. "I'm so sorry."
Aaron, squeaked out an surprised cry, and smiled, hugging Bekah, slowly transforming into his 'human' self. His red hair corresponding with hers.
"This is getting pretty sappy, isn't it?" he asked, smiling down at Bekah. They both laughed and nodded, moving out of the embrace.
Kyle watched this whole scene transpire before looking back at Misu with a confused look. "Eh... I'm not dead, what are you talking about?" It was obvious he certainly was in fact dead, but his facial expressions and "body" language were that of someone who believed what they had just said.
Aaron looked over at Kyle, a bit concerned. "What do you mean you're not dead?" he asked, looking right through him. "You're transparent." he added.\
Greyson walked over and put a hand on Kyle. "You, infact, are dead, sir."
Misu winked. "Told ya!"
Bekah smiled, and ran right through Kyle. "See?" she added.
Kyle laughed a bit. "Oh that, yeah I don't understand it either. I woke up one day and I was kinda ghost like. Ever since then I've been having to deal with these creepy people wearing cloaks. They keep saying the same thing as you, but that can't be. I feel just fine."
Misu laughed. "Yeah, I said the same thing for a while... but then I turned around and found a medium. You, sir, deffinantly are D.E.A.D."
greyson cleared his throat. "guys in cloaks?"
Aaron nodded, remembering the creepy guys. "Yeah, they're kind of like the grim reaper's minions." he explained, "At least, I think." Aaron looked around, he had a feeling one was near, but perhaps it was his imagination. Without even realizing, he transformed into his 'protective' state, peering around the edges of the woods as he took a step towards Bekah, reaching for his sword. Something was wrong, he could feel it.
"Hm? Whats wrong Aaron?" Bekah asked, suddenly having cold chills as she peered around herself, getting slightly nervous.
Misu groaned. "Oh no... not again!" She ran to the pond and dove in. "To the lake!" She shouted before she hit the water.
Greyson ran into the pond and stood knee deep. "Aaron, get her in here!"
