MGS is not about graphics, it is about gameplay. Only a dumb X-Box 360 player only concentrates on graphic (no offense Rolling stone). Big Boss is right, usage with the WiiMote could be the best thing that ever happened to Metal Gear!
Poeple who only buy a game based on graphics justpiss me off. Does Animal Corssing have good graphics? Does ff3 on DS have good graphics? Does Wario Ware have good graphics? No, and they are all reference games!
MGS4 could get on Wii, it is only Kojima-san's wish that will tell what will happen.

After a year, the really good games will come out and we'll see the power of the PS3 in 2008. Sony will always be number 1 in the gaming business, it's just how it is :)
I think 360 is a close second. The Wii is definately third place. Just like the Gamecube was. Some things just never change ;)

Right now based on games and what not, if I had the money, I'd probably go Xbox360, Ps3, Wii. But when the playstation is out for as long as the Xbox.. It'l be ps3 hands down. Its just a better system. Sony has obviously been trying to get off on just being able to play games. Its really noticable on the PSP most of the games out for it, are really lame. there hasn't been a GREAT PSP game. The DS was a much better game only handlheld. But the PSP was a Media Megahouse. It could play music, movies, and games, go on the internet, etc. The same goes for the PS3. That is probably the reason behind the high price. If you want to just play games, thats it. Get an Xbox360. If you want a videogame experiance that offers more than just games, go for a PS3. One the PS3 gets started it'll overthrow the competition. And just for the record, I'm also excited for Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, as well as EA's Skate, Elder Scrolls 4, and A PS3 MMORPG, (Squeenix or not, I hear there will be a new MMO for PS3 eventually). sorry just wanted to express my opinion. thanks for reading.

2006-12-05 [love2003love]: hehe, while i agree on most of what you say, i don't agree with everything, especially what you said about the PSP having crappy games, there are quite a few great PSP games already out actually. As for the DS, there isn't one good game i've played on that console yet. Back to PS3, i think it has better exclusive games than the 360, i can name off the top of my head, more PS3 games that i want, than 360 games. For 360 all i can think of are DOA5, Halo 3 and Gears of War. Most of the others that are multiplatform, i'd get for PS3, simply for that extra boost in graphics and PS3 gets alot of exclusive content in it's versions of games. Plus i prefer the Sony controller.
P.S - Don't forget the PS1 games on PSP, also the various emulators for PSP, e.g. NES,SNES,Genes

But In my opinion the psp was more of a multimedia handheld, then just a game playing console. while as the Ds was just for games. But the PSP is going to be pretty awesome with PS3's. Being able to get music, movies, games, and other things Wirlessly from any internet hotspot off my 60 gig hardrive, sounds preeety awesome. Nintendo, and microsoft don't have any competition in that area.
2006-12-06 [love2003love]: Yeah i understand what you're saying. PSP and PS3 are similiar in that way. PS3 is more like a PC than the other 2 consoles. Hence the higher price, plus the blueray, plus the graphics card. It all makes sense to me.
360 is a good console, the only thing it doesnt have, is the huge library of Sony games and more exclusives. Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive are going to be on PS3. I know Halo won't be, but maybe Fable and Jade Empire will. Slowly Xbox are losing their exclusives. Plus the fact that they're all on PC anyway, can't really say they're exclusive to begin with.

Currently, X-Box is in trouble, because it sells less and less. Good games are being rare. So what Microsoft is doing is associating with Nintendo to defeat Sony. Age of Empire DS and Halo DS... ^^ I also think that the PS3 sucks. It is just an improvement of the PS2, nothing more... Really, nothing. Except for some new games, it has no atractiveness at all.
What is wrong with the Wii for you? Are you scared of trying a new thing? Mayeb you just don't want to do something different. But the Wii won't stop because of scary cats, for poeple that never played games are gonna get the Wii, and people who want other things that crapy FPS and half-baked-pse

No one is saying theres something wrong with the Wii, we're just saying it's third place and just not as good as the other 2 consoles. In fact I'M saying it's quite a dissapointment for me. Scared of trying new things...right O_o People that never played video games before will get the PS2 actually :P it's cheaper than the Wii, has better graphics on some games (HAHA! it's true) has more games. Proper online support etc. PS2 is a good place to start for the newcomer.
crappy FPS? I won't even bother replying to that. PS3 and 360 have the best FPS, Wii doesn't have anything remotely good. Half-Baked Final Fantasy? I should kick your ass for saying that lol. XIII is going to rule! You mention the DS as if it's going to save Nintendo and bring them to the top again just like they were in the early 90's before SONY arrived. It's not going to happen.
Long story short, Nintendo just don't have the games to compete with the others, they have 4 or 5 good titles and they rely on Nintendo fanboys like yourself to purchase their console.

Just how much CAN you improve a game system? By better graphics? A game with real-life graphic could be bad too. For all I know, the Virtual Console is there is to laugh at the face of the PS3 by selling games with the crappiest graphics. And it works.
Now I won't deny that the Wii didn't work at all, and that's for the reason that poeple were waiting for something different, when they only got an improved N64. Nothing but the graphics could be improved, it clearly showed. But the GC tries, with Pikmins And Chibi-Robo to cite only those game, to do different games than FPS and and yes, i say it again, half-baked Final-Fantasy-
Nintendo third place? Wii will see what's gonna happen later. As a reminder, at last E3, the line for the Wii was 6 hours long in average against 30 min for the PS3 line, Ps3 who kept failing.
As a last word, the PSP is going to die in frnt of the DS. Remeber the N-Gage? So many functions, and it failed to teh GBA. The same thing will happen now, cause the DS has the games, AND the touch screen. The rumor of a Microsoft handheld is but a rumor for now too, as is HALO DS, by the way.

2006-12-06 [love2003love]: [Mr. Wonka] learn how to read, i said "Wii doesn't have anything remotely good." not Wii doesnt have any FPS. Metroid 3 looks exactly the same as number 2. Red Steel isn't even a good shooter, the only thing it does right is the sword fighting. Sony does not do it for the money, they care more than Nintendo do, Sony work their asses off to give us fans everything we want, they are losing alot of money on the PS3, are Nintendo risking anything? Nope, they just got the Gamecube upgraded the graphics by a step or two and added a new controller. Big wow. The virtual console sucks too :P making us pay for old game roms that we can easily get for free. Here's how PS3 improved upon the PS2: graphics, an online support that matches Xbox live, multimedia support (Blueray, HD-DVD, DVD, CD), Linux support, FREE online gaming (Thankyou Sony! :D) huge game library that is still expanding, great software support by so many game companies i couldnt possibly name them all. I think i'll stop there.
Different games for Cube? :S what the hell. PS2 has more variety than Gamecube, there are RTS,FPS,RPG,Be
PSP isn't going to die, it gets stronger as every month passes, more and more quality games are coming out for it and these games really make good use of the hardware. I see new DS games coming out that STILL look like N64 or Dreamcast graphics and the touchscreen is not for everyone, some of us like to feel we're playing a game, not drawing silly squiggles on a screen. N-Gage is nothing to do with Sony, i don't know why you brought that up.
You say Nintendo has done the most for gaming, simply because they were there before Sony and Microsoft? Well i have news for you, Nintendo lost as soon as the PS1 came out and they have never and will never be on top again. Even Microsoft is doing more things right than Nintendo.
P.S - I don't hate Nintendo :P i own a N64 and Gamecube and have every NES/SNES game and enjoy playing GBA once in a while too. But i don't let it cloud my judgement :)

I'm not trying to insult anyone...I just know what i'm talking about and i can never resist a debate. I always check what i say and make sure i do research, i'm not biased in any way since i buy every console and i'm not a fanboy either. I don't like writing long speeches...But it's the only way to get my point across.

2006-12-07 [Mr. Wonka]: We'll see about that... Even portage games like DBZ Budokai Tengaichi 2 look more interesting on Wii than on other platforms because you have to do the moves of the carachters to get the special attacks going.
2006-12-07 [.soldier]: I think the Wii was made for people who're fit and don't tire out easily. I think people who can't take swinging their arms rapidly will tire out easily...on the other hand, it might actually burn calories and build muscle.
PS3 on the other hand...you don't have to work to have a fun time. :P

Wii does have a good game...it's called Twilight Princess. That's it. I'm not saying Wii's games will always suck, i'm saying that this year the games suck and don't make me feel like buying the console. In 2007 we'll see some good Wii games, but in 2007 PS3 and 360 are going to get their really good games so... :/ Nintendo still loses. But hey i'm looking forward to Super Smash Bro's Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 (even if it does look exactly like 2) and the next Zelda (getting TP on Cube :P) I just think it'll be a shame if Wii does what Gamecube did and has a few good titles and the rest crappy ports which aren't as good as on the other 2 consoles, or just plain crappy games.
He also spelt Budokai Tenkaichi 2 wrong along with alot of other words...Maybe he's stressed out? :/

P.S. - The next Burnout game, Burnout Dominator, will be out on PS2 and PSP only in 2007, they will make a different Burnout for the more powerful consoles. Which is great, another Burnout game for my PS2 collection :D
