Appearance...
- Thick and muscular canine-like creatures, with downward sloping backs.
- Thick bone ridges line their jaws, instead of individual teeth.
- Some are spotted to camoflage against the grasses, but they are rarely stalking predators.
Habitat...
- Centra, Nubia.
- Typically roam around grasslands, seeking out carcasses.
- Some are spotted in elephant graveyards, chomping directly into bone to get at the marrow.
Behavior...
- Powerful bites allow them to be more than effective scavengers, since they are rather slow to the hunt.
- Easily scared, which makes them retreat with a sort of taunting laugh sound.
- Leucrotta rarely kill a meal, but in groups they can sometimes scare off a more delicate predator from its meal.
