Appearance...
- Roc are the largest of birds in the world, so large that they block out the sun to all beneath their flight.
- With large brown feathers and thick layers of them, Rocs usually are difficult to spot in their mountanous domains.
- Rocs have usually long heads for an eagle, though it is due to their higher speeds during flight because of amazing musculature that such a long beak is required.
Habitat...
- Centra, Nubia.
- Though normally found in Nubia, Roc have been sighted as far away as Dres' Chaotica to prey on the Oliphaunts.
- Roc are not easily domesticated, but those that are serve as the mightiest of flying mounts the world has ever seen.
Behavior...
- The rocs are well known for their painfully loud skreech, which fills the sky with a piercing tone for miles.
- Rocs do not normally discriminate against prey, so long as it is large enough to feed themselves and their chicks. Normally these large birds will prey on megafauna, such as the Pachyderms.
- Though fully able to bring down the largest of prey, Rocs are not incredibly territorial to their own kind. However, they do express a certain desire to maintain hunting grounds for their need of mass quantities of meat per kill.
