Appearance...
- Sandworms are the single greatest species of organism in the entirety of the world.
- They are so large and muscular that their very movement through the air causes static electricity powerful enough to form lightning bolts.
- Although these worms appear to be ageless as no account of a single specimen from birth to natural death has ever been calculated. This has led some cults to believe that they are the immortal flesh of the very planet itself and seek to remove the pestering societies which dot her face.
Habitat...
- Centra, Centran Wastelands and Sandy Deserts
- Found only in the deep desert and held to near legendary aspect by the natives.
- One of the Sandworms largest weaknesses is their inability to tunnel into bedrock, which has allowed some desert cites to be constructed.
Behavior...
- Consider as gods by the Sand Siren covens of the great desert, the Sandworms will often flock to their songs as they have become accustomed to the sacrifices they provide them.
- Sandworms generally remain dormant as it requires alot of energy for them to tunnel undernearth the surface, but for such large creatures to do so causes tremors and great shifts in the sands noticable for miles.
- Another note is that there is absolutely no record of an adult sandworm kill, only newborn infants of fifty foot have ever been slain by even the greatest wyrmslayers.
