Quick Facts
Appearance...
- Although they appear weak and feable since their bodies look relatively thin and frail, they are quite potent with toxins that rival with the most powerful of venoms.
- Two horn-like antennae on a Scolopendra's head have one of the worlds most potent toxins and can kill within days and rarely treated even with advanced medicines.
- Although they are not heavily armored, it is not wise to anger such a creature as that will only cause it to inject toxins through its hundreds of feet.
Habitat...
- Centra, Andoria
- Often found in the desert regions of Andoria, feeding on caravans or stray mammals.
- Some Scolopendra have found a living in the woodlands, easily adjusting to life among the trees for shelter.
Behavior...
- Normally used as a last resort attack, a Scolopendra's bite is nothing to brag about for a creature its size. Its bite is weak thanks to its powerful toxins which liquify and soften its prey.
- If a Scolopendra is angered or irritated, the toxins it carries will be injected under its feet in small doses. This will burn the very ground it walks upon like an acid and makes its trample lethal.
- Scolopendra are very quick, and should be avoided wherever possible.
