Description
Sleipnir is the gray colt of the war god Othinn. With eight legs and powerful magical forces surging through the beast, it is difficult to imagine anyone but a god riding such a magnificent Stallion. Its birth is a mystery to all but Othinn and few of his close associates, however myth states that there was a contest between titan masons to build a wall to guard Valhala. One of the masons was dangerously close to winning, but had a horse named Svaldilfari doing all of the heavy labor. Othinn threatened to kill the mason's lord if he finished on schedule with aid of the horse. Temptra, in order to stem the possible bloodshed to be caused by the war god, decided to lure the stallion away from the mason by turning into an attractive mare. The mason then lost as the heavy labor could not be carried out, and the story goes on to suggest that Temptra birthed Sleipnir. It is hard to tell if such a myth is true, but the stallion exists and is the prize animal of Othinn.
