Appearance...
- Treants will appear like walking trees, using limbs for attacking enemies of the woodlands.
- Treants are particularly still very tree-like, even though they may have human-like features to them.
- Treants may have facial features in odd locations, depending on where a knot in the tree trunk may be. This sometimes leads to comical effect, but the geomancers must be careful to respect, since larger Treants are not given to open senses of humor.
Habitat...
- As summons, Treants can be summoned anywhere there are trees.
- Found guarding forests, and larger Treants are sometimes mistaken for Ents.
- Act very tree-like, though possessing intellect and posture of human-like creatures, and so will often gather with other trees when no longer needed.
Behavior...
- Treants are proficient in "forest tongue", meaning they are quite literate for having been born of magic.
- While not summoned for their conversations, Treants who are taught the tongue of the summoner may act as an interpreter for the trees.
- Treants are savage warriors of the forest when battle concerns the sanctity of the grove and well-being of the foliage. Some treants are known to rebel against Geomancers who forget their primary devotion to the woodlands.
