Appearance...
- Wyverns appear much like dragons, only that they lack frontal limbs which they never managed to develop. Rather instead they've grown wings, which are used instead like a second pair of legs as they walk along the ground.
- The wyvern's face is much like a Saurian's, only with a much harder snout to break into the winds during flight.
- Wyverns curiously have two spikes which come out from their shoulder blades, Saurians use these to mount saddles, but their purpose is highly debated.
Habitat...
- Adon, Mesoadon
- Native to the Saurian worlds, and so are found only in Saurian encampments.
- Rarely found in the wilds, since they were all once domesticated by the Saurian people.
Behavior...
- Wyverns are soaring animals, using very few flaps in flight with their massive leathery wings.
- The wyvern in flight is very graceful, and is distinguished from a dragon because they do not flap much during flight. Whereas dragons rely on flight bladders for lift and wing flaps for movement.
- A wyvern is very peaceful, despite their somewhat menacing reptilian appearance they are actually quite playful.
