Poem's Title: Write for Yourself
Poem:

Realism fades into oblivion,
Pounded with voiced opinion,
Ignoring them is not a sin,
As words flow from deep within...

For writing is the purest dream,
Unable to quench the sparkle the gleam,
An author's life they're truest being,
For it's their purest dreams they are seeing.

Characters no longer seem surreal,
Criticism is smashed by truest appeal.
For their world becomes alive it soars,
For the story, the character ,their world you adore...

Poem's Title: Someday
Poem:

Banging your head against the wall,
Endlessly, fruitlessly,
Running around in circles,
And getting no where fast,
You cant run
And you cant hide
When the shit hits the fan,
And you know tis all your fault,
Life is full of balance,
You reap what you sow,
And you cant escape,
From the consequences,
Or your responsibility,
Of the situations,
You have created,
Free thought,
Free choice,
Free speech,
Yet theses are never really free,
These so called rights,
Each with a price,
Each only valid,
Within the limits of the law,
Yet some how,
Some way,
I know we'll all be free,
Some day.....

Poem's Title: Celebration Of Race
Poem:

Let me human history retrace,
An ode to my people, a song to my race!
We know so much; we've come so far.
Yet my eyes I can't blind, my sight I can't bar.

Look how far we've come in time and place
Look what we achieved for our noble race!
We invented inequity, we invented hate,
We invented wars that won't abate.

Behold society today; a shameful disgrace,
I'm ashamed to be part of such a race.
A world full of racism, hatred and greed,
Where we fail to help all those in need.

Only true love moves with beauty and grace,
So let me hold it in tight embrace!
Rarely found, true beauty within,
Whether white or copper skinned.

Even a smile and kindly face
Are struggling in their slipping place.
Soon even this will be dead and gone,
And there will end my sorrowful song.

Poem Category: Love...
Poem's Title:Forever Yours
Poem:

Aware of the love of good friends

As they wipe tears of joy from you cheeks...

Aware of the fluttering in your belly

As those same ladies lower a cloud

Over your glowing face.

Aware of the waiting gazes of family

As you stand surrounded by your men...

Aware of their pats of your back

As those same friends adjust

Your tux jacket.

Aware of the people

Gathered behind the huge oak doors...

Aware of their murmurs

As the music in the hall changes.

Quick hugs from your attendants.

Aware of your racing pulse

As the great doors open...

Aware of the silence of the spectators

As they turn to watch

The child with a basket.

Aware suddenly of only one

Misty from the veil...

Standing at the alter

Staring raptly as you walk slowly

On shaking legs.

Aware of no one else as

You life her veil...

Kiss her softly

And whisper...

...Forever Yours.

Poem's Title: My Heartbreak is Done
Poem:

My heart ripped to pieces
By your voulentary hands
You laughed in my face
When i took a stand

I revealed my feelings
How i felt about you
And you sneered in my face
Now what do i do

Shattered into pieces
my heart plumeted to the floor
you pounded on the pieces
and tore them some more

You left me there crying
Left to drown in my tears
And now the word heartbreak
Is added to my fears

You see me in the hallway
You snicker in my face
I have to find a way
To leave this forsaken place

I ran home in pain
I just had to cry
And now that you've pushed me this far
It's time to say goodbye

I searched ruthlessly through the drawers
And i pulled out the gun
And with the pull of the trigger
My heartbreak is done
