Griever closed and locked the door, then walked over to the kitchen. "Midnight, I'm home." He sat the keys in a small bowl on the counter and pulled out a cat dish, setting it on the counter. He pulled out a small packet of ground beef and a container of dry cat food. He mixed part of the beef in with the cat food, then added few pills to the mixture. "Dinner time!"

A cat sized black dragon ran into the kitchen, clutching a black collar in its mouth. He skidded to a halt in front of Griever, setting the collar down.

Griever sat the bowl down and picked up the collar, frowning slightly. "Where did?" He gave the dragon a look. "You went to base didn't you?"

Midnight gave him a small nod, then went back to eating.

Griever sighed softly and sat the collar on the counter next to the keys, smiling slightly. "Glad that portal still works even with all the barriers on this place."

Opening a window, Nanao flipped into the apartment, landing on his feet and turning around to close it. "I'm back, love."

"About time. I was starting to get a little worried about you," said Griever as he walked over to give Nanao a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"I may have gone a bit overboard... but it's done." Nanao smiled, returning his lover's affections tenderly.

Griever smiled softly. "That's good. Do you want something to drink?"

"No thank you, love." Nanao whispered, turning his attention to Midnight. "When did he get back?"

Griever chuckled softly. "He has always been here, love." He walked over and picked up the dragon. "He tends to stay in his hiding place while you're here and once you're gone he comes out."

"He looks like he wants to eat me..." Nanao shivered, walking into the living room, and plopping on the couch, sprawling out and relaxing. "Griever, you know I've got bruises all over from you?" He muttered, unbuttoning his shirt and pulling it off, examining his torso.

Griever walked into the living room and sat down beside him. "At least I only gave you bruises. I was out of commission for weeks from that one injury you gave me." He pulled his shirt up slightly, showing him the pale scar that went across his back. "I was on bed rest that whole time and I almost went insane from boredom."

"I did that during sex?" Nanao asked, turning towards him with a confused look on his face.

Griever chuckled softly. "No. It was during one of our fights. In fact, most of the scars I have came from our fights."

"I was talking about at the mall, Griever... I've got bruises all over from our time in the changing room..." Nanao whined, touching one of them, wincing afterwards.

Griever blushed slightly. "Sorry, love."

"Why be sorry? It's just next time... I'll have to do even worse to you..." Nanao grinned, pulling Griever closer to him, wrapping his arms around him loosely.

Griever purred softly and cuddled close to his lover. He chuckled softly when Midnight climbed into his lap and he held him close.

"You've always been closer to a masochist anyway..." Nanao whispered, kissing his lover's temple gently, before realizing back against the couch, holding Griever close to him.

Griever chuckled softly and smiled. "That's true."

Nanao chuckled as well, grabbing the remote and turning on the T.V. "So, what color do you think I should dye my hair?"

Griever thought for a moment. "How about blue?"

"I don't think blue would go well with my eyes..." Nanao replied.

"Red?" asked Griever.

Nanao nearly fell off the couch at that comment. Slapping his forehead, he stood from the couch and walked into the kitchen. "Love, my hair is red..."

Griever gave him a look. "It looks orange to me."

"Oh my... nevermind, I'll just dye it brown..." He grumbled, shaking his head as he walked to the stove and opened a drawer beside it. Taking out a pair of scissors, he stared at them, sighing as he walked to the bathroom.

"I'm sorry. I have a hard time telling certain colors in this form." Griever sighed loudly and laid down on the couch.

Midnight curled up on his stomach and watched him lazily.

"Orange hair is considered red hair, Griever..." Nanao called bringing the scissors to his hair, his hands shaking as he did so. "Love... can you please come cut my hair... I can't bring myself to do it..."

Griever sighed as he picked Midnight up, walking into the bathroom. He sat the dragon on the counter and took the scissors from his lover. "How short do you want it?"

"J-just surprise me..." Nanao whined, clenching his eyes shut tightly.

Griever began to cut his hair about shoulder length.

Nanao's jaw dropped when he saw how much had been cut off. "You cut off nearly two feet!" He squealed, his eyes actually tearing up a bit.

Griever sat the scissors down and hugged him. "I'm sorry, love."

Nanao sighed, turning in his lover's grasp, embracing him as well. "It's ok..." he whispered.

Griever sighed softly. "I figured that shorter would be better cause people would still recognize you with long hair."

"I know, I know...I'll need contacts too to hide my eyes as well..." He whispered softly, before releasing Griever, ruffling his hair as he passed by him and walked out of the bathroom.

Griever frowned and ran his hands through his hair, fixing it. "You know I don't like it when you do that." He walked out, following his lover.

Midnight sighed and hopped off the counter and followed after the pair.

"It just shows how much I love you that I do it anyway." Nanao smiled, glancing back at him before continuing towards there bedroom. "You wouldn't happen to have any hair dye lying around would you?"

"No. I never planned on dying my hair anytime," said Griever.

"Thought I'd ask-" Nanao shot to the window, glancing down towards the streets. "That power..." he shuddered out, pulling the drapes closed, and backing up from the window. "Damn... it looks like another on is here..."

Griever shivered and walked over to his lover, wanting some comfort. "Why would another one be here?"

Midnight growled loudly.

"I don't know..." Nanao muttered, glancing around to his lover. "I can't sense it anymore... maybe he's gone..."

Griever whimpered softly. "I don't like this..."

"I don't either, but there's nothing we can do but stick it out here for a while. This apartment is completely untraceable, no paperwork at all, technically, an old couple is living here..."

Griever gave him a small smile. "I feel a little bit safer knowing that."

"We just have to be careful not to let anyone see us coming in or out.."

Griever nodded. "Yeah."

"So, I'll need you to do something..." Nanao whispered, cringing at the thought. "Can you morph completely into a cat? That way you can watch the halls... not all the time... but long enough for us to get out of the building.."

Griever nodded. "Yeah. The people around here are used to me exploring this place."

"Ok, just don't be noticed..." Nanao whispered quietly.

Griever kissed Nanao's cheek. "If I do I have many hiding spots that no one other than my size can get into." He walked over to the door, shifting into his black cat form and sat by it, meowing softly.

"Doesn't mean they can't make the hole bigger..." Nanao muttered, cracking the door open enough for Griever to slip out.

Griever gave him a look, then slipped out into the hall.
