2008-03-18 [Cia_mar]: i just feel like my eyes cannot focus on it properly... the white flowers overpower... yet i know they provide great contrast, they seem to draw me away from the russet, and the fact that his face is the same shape as the rose buds and nearly the same color, without any really decernable features, is just an off feeling.... this is of course my opinion,,,, things i like about it though are the brilliance of color and the contrast of forground and background....

It's quite amusing. :) However, I'm well aware of the flaws in wikipedia, however, it's quicker than popping down to my local Homebase to get one of their colour charts. Wikipedia is "generally reliable" it will tell you that Pegasus is a winged horse, and it will be accurate, but it may let you down in more technical areas. That' why academics don't like it, but that doesn't mean it's suddenly completely unreliable and we should never, ever trust it.Maybe just not take it as the only source we check for non-academic things (which it wasn't, I just didn't want to spam links). Secondly, there are a lot of unknown factors in claiming that computers distort colour - the graphical capabilities of mine, zab's and the person who uploaded that colour sample, to name a few, so it's currently a weak argument.
