Iris woke up. She sat up and stared at the ground. Her old emotions towards Axel and Riku were coming back to her, yet her new emotions for them stayed at the same time. She was now very confused.

"You okay?" Axel asked tiredly.

Iris just looked at him. Her eyes said it all.

Axel sighed. "You had another flashback? It figures..." He looked at her. "Don't worry about things that have happened. There's nothing you can do about them."

Iris nodded then looked away, fighting back tears.

Axel put the blanket around her, then put an arm around her. "I'm sorry..."

She buried her face in his chest, and started crying.

Axel pulled her close to him, resting his head on hers. "It's okay, Iris...it's okay to cry. I'm here," he whispered to her.

"Axel... I'm so... confused..." Iris said between sobs.

Axel looked down at her. "About what? There's nothing to be confused over."

That's when Iris looked at him, and told him of her dream.

Axel slowly let her go and stood up, moving away from her. He leaned over the fireplace, placing his head on his hand. He didn't know what to say to her. "So...uh...got it memorized?" he asked, trying to smile for her.

Iris sighed and looked away, "I guess...."

Axel sighed as well. "Look, I don't want to influence your decision or anything...but it's different now. Stay with Riku. It's cool." He tried to smile. "Remember, I'm the 'odd duck'. You can't depend on me."

"It's kinda hard when you like yet hate someone at the same time..." Iris muttered, talking about Riku.

"Blame DiZ," Axel said. "They did it because Roxas and Sora needed to become whole again."

Iris just stayed silent.

Axel sighed, sitting back down beside her. "Do what you want. I've got no power over you. You know that. Just...do what your heart says, I suppose." He laughed softly. "I can't. Don't got a heart."

Iris rolled her eyes and playfully whacked him in the back of the head, "Hellooooooo!? I have no heart too, remember? Otherwise I wouldn't of been in the Organization, silly!"

Axel smiled a little. "That's not...entirely true."

"Huh??? Okay now I'm really confused..." -.-

Axel shrugged. "I don't know either. But Xemnas kept saying how....special you were. You weren't like the rest. You being able to weild the keyblade, and not be a Nobody of a keyblade wielder proves that." He looked at her. "Roxas could only do it because he was Sora. You...you can do it anyway."

"Yeah, well I wish I never had the stupid keyblade..."

Axel looked at her. "The keyblade's saved your life a lot. You should be grateful that you have it. You can defeat anyone with it."

"Yeah, I know..." Iris sighed.

"Cheer up," Axel said. "There's always the future. We'll get your Riku back."

Iris tried to smile, "Thanks Axel..."

Axel smiled back at her. "Hey, come on now. You know me. I'll do anything for my pals."

Iris smiled and hugged him.

Axel returned the hug gently, losing his smile just a little.

Iris heard Sora snore, and she rolled her eyes, "Talk about sleeping death..."

Axel laughed. "Don't worry about him. Roxas used to never be able to sleep. Total opposites. Sometimes....Roxas would come into my room and climb into the bed beside me because of his horrible nightmares." Axel looked sad. "The poor kid would be crying or screaming from his nightmares. I'd sit up on the bed to let him sleep, and it hurt me to watch him like that." He looked at her. "And then you started to get the nightmares."

Iris sighed, "I wish I could remember Roxas more..."

Axel touched her head. "You'll remember in time," he said. He smiled. "You two used to keep me up all night. Roxas would come in first, upset. I'd let him sleep in my bed while I slept on my couch. And then you'd come in, and I'd let you sleep on the couch, and I'd sit on the floor." He grinned. "Fun times.."

Iris laughed, "Poor you."

Axel smiled. "Nah, I liked it. Looking out for you and him was the best thing I ever did."

"I doubt the floor was that comfy though."

Axel shrugged. "I never cared. You two meant everything. I would sleep on the floor all the time for you two."

Iris smiled, and Sora started snoring louder, "God...." Iris covered her ears, "Loud sleeper..."

Axel took a blanket over to Sora, laying it across him. "Here, buddy."

Sora rolled over, his snoring stopping.

"Wow. That worked."

Axel smiled. "Roxas got quiet when he heard my voice too. I figured it'd work...for a while."

Iris smirked, "Keywords: For a while."

Axel nodded, sitting down on the couch. "Definitely."

Iris sat back down next to him, "What time is it?"

Axel looked at the clock, then out the window. "Three in the morning. Go on back to sleep. We've got time."

Iris nodded and rested her head on his shoulder. She fell asleep minutes later.

Axel watched her, eventually falling asleep as well, his head resting back against the couch.

Three hours later...

Axel awakened, looking around. Sora was still sleeping, as was Iris, so he stood and stretched. He looked around once more to make sure that the faun and little girl weren't awake, then slipped out the door. He had to find Riku on his own and get him back. He trudged through the snowy woods, but didn't find any sort of clue as to where to go. "Pai's probably got him locked someplace even I can't find him..." he muttered. "Great..."

The sound of wolves howling could be heard. Suddenly, a huge pack of wolves ran towards Axel, surrounding him.

Axel growled in annoyance. "Look, pooches, I'm busy. Just lay off."

"Wacth your tone, off-worlder." The wolf leader barked, "State you name and businesses on Narnia."

Axel scoffed. "I'm here looking for a guy about my height. Long silver hair. Being dragged around by this big guy that looks like smoke. Seen him?"

"No. And you're in no position to be asking questions." The leader growled. He then paused and asked, "Are you on of the Sons of Adam?"

Axel raised an eyebrow. "Sons of who?"

“You know nothing of the Prophecy, do you?”

"Duh!" Axel said. "I'm only here to find my friend, then leave. I'm not interested in any stupid legend."

The other wolves started to grolw, and the wolf leader sneered at Axel's attitude, "Unfortunately for you, you won't be leaving anytime soon."

Axel's chakrams appeared in his hands. Fire danced around his feet in a small circle. He smirked. "Wanna bet, flea bags?"

Three wolves jumped onto his back. One placed its jaws around his neck while the other two had theirs on his arms.

Axel was caught by surprise, dropping his chakrams. "Get off me, you mutts!" he yelled. "What the hell do you want? I'm not a son of whatever. I'm not even a real person!"

"Silence, off-worlder!" The leader barked, "All off-worlders are to taken to the Queen. She decides what will become of you."

"No way, bub," Axel said. "No queens for me. Uh-uh." His anger allowed his body to heat up from his fire.

The wolf that held his neck, tighten its grip, nearly piercing his skin.

Axel cried out in pain. "Stop it!" he yelled.

“Resistance is futile, off-worlder.”

Axel's hands lit up with fire, and his forced the fire towards the ones holding his hands in their teeth. "I said STOP IT!"

Meanwhile

Iris woke up and that Axel wasn't there, "Axel...?" She looked around, before getting up. She went over to Sora and poked him, "Sora. Wake up!"

Sora sat up. "What..? What's wrong?"

"Axel's not here." Iris replied, "Come on. We have to find him."

Sora nodded, grabbing his keyblade and getting up.

Iris picked up her keyblade and went outside.

Sora followed her, and wasn't surprised to see Axel's footprints in the snow. "He definitely went out here," Sora said. "But why?"

"I don't..." Iris started but stopped when she looked up ahead. A pack of huge wolves were attacking Axel, "Axel!" Iris ran off toward him, "Come on, Sora!"

Axel looked over. "Iris, watch out!"

A wolf jumped at Iris.

Iris yelped in surpise and fell down with the wolf ontop of her, "Get off me, you mutt!"

Sora threw his keyblade at the wolf on Iris.

Iris jumped to feet, “Thanks Sora.” She then glared at the wolves that were holding down Axel, “Let go of him!” Blue lighting bolts hit the wolves.

Axel winced and turned his head away as the bolts hit the wolves, narrowly missing him. He quickly got up once they were distracted and moved away from them.

"Are you okay!?" Iris asked as she ran over to him.

Axel nodded. "I'm fine." He drew his chakrams. "They're just pissing me off. Come on, let's go. Riku hasn't been here. I asked."

The wolve pack suddenly paused, as if they were being called. They then ran off. The Leader glared the teens, "We'll be back for you three later!"

"Don't count on it, wolfie!" Axel called after him.

"Why did you leave without us?" Iris asked Axel.

Axel's chakrams disappeared. "Well....uhm....you really were missing him, so I thought I'd find him for you before you woke up.."

"Thanks but I would rather have us look for him TOGEHTER." Iris said, smiling slightly.

Axel ran a hand through his hair. "Yeah...I guess..."

Iris grinned, "You're stuck with us whether you like or not."

Sora nodded with a smile.

Axel sighed. "Riku's not here. Those wolves haven't seen him, and they're working for some queen."

"Well, then we should get moving before those wolves come back then." Iris said.

"Where else can we look?" Sora asked.

Axel pondered. "Maybe...the World that Never Was..."

"Smoke threw out from there, remeber?" Iris said.

"No, that was the Organization's headquarters. There's other places in the World That Never Was that may have information for us," Axel said.

"Oh, okay. Lead the way."

Axel opened up a dark portal, heading inside quickly.

Sora followed him through.

Iris followed as well.

Axel brought them out to the open city in the World that Never Was. He walked towards one of the broken down buildings and slipped in through the wooden bars that barred the entrance. "Over here," he called.

Iris nodded and followed him.

Meanwhile a hooded figure wacthed this from above, ontop of a building.

Sora followed behind them. "This place is a dump!" he yelled. He looked over at Axel. "Why are we here?"

Axel grinned. "Demyx and I used to steal files and junk as pranks. No one figured out that we did it, so we stashed them in here." He saw their looks. "We were bored! Besides, Roxas wasn't around then. I think I have a map of the Organization's Headquarters, so we should be able to find a secret entrance or something."

The hooded figure walked in,"Hhhhmmm what a intresting hideout..." she said. She pulled down her hood, revieling black hair with red streaks, red eyes that seemed to glow, "Too bad I found it though." she smirked.

Axel growled. "More Organization scum, of course. Who the hell are you?"

"Oh don't you remember me? It's me, Xajin."

Axel crossed his arms. "Oh, you. One of the misfits of the Organization...I never thought Saix would allow you in."

"They had me joined after I kicked his ass... twice." Xajin smirked.

Axel had to laugh. "Damn! You did? That's great.." he said, wiping a tear from his eye from laughing so hard.

"Yep. And the look on his face was priceless."

Axel tried to get serious. "Yeah, but, that's no reason to barge into my spot."

"I don't see no sign saying 'Axel's spot." Xajin smirked.

Axel pointed to the scratches on the wall over on the other side. The scratches read: Axel, Demyx, Roxas. And below that read: Axel RULES! Got it memorized?

Xajin smirked, "Sombody has high ego..." Then she saw Iris, "Awww how cute. Little Axy brought his girlfriend along."

Iris glared at Xajin.

"Can it," Axel said. "She's not my girlfriend. Why don't you go make yourself useful by LEAVING?"

"Oh, so SHE'S that Riku guy's light then..." Xajin said, "Too bad too... He's all but fully given in to the darkness."

"What?!" Sora yelled, drawing his keyblade. "You better take that back!"

"Give him back, Xajin," Axel said. "Or...we could make a deal."

"Nah, I'll pass." Xajin said.

Iris took out her keyblade, "Give him back NOW!"

Xajin smirked, "I'm not the leader, so it's not my choice to you your persious little Riku." She then looked at Axel, "Besides, I don't think Axel should make another deal with Organization. It's the reason all this trouble started."

Axel froze up, paling a bit.

Sora looked at Axel. "A deal with the Organization?"

Iris looked at Xajin then at Axel, "What deal?"

Xajin laughed, "How do you think Axel got Kairi back yet lost Riku?"

Sora's eyes widened as he looked at Axel. "Axel...is..is this true?"

Axel pushed a hand through his hair. "Look...I...I kept trying to tell you guys...I went to sneak Kairi out and got caught by Smoke.."

"That's when Pai came and save Axy's sorry ass." Xajin said, "Then he made a deal with Pai. Kairi's freedom in exhange for Riku's. He did it so he could have Iris all to himself again."

Axel turned his face away. "I'm sorry, Iris...but it was the only chance I had to save Ro...Sora...and maybe get you back."

"I... I can't belive you lied to us, Axel!" Iris yelled "We trusted you! I trusted you!"

Axel was angry now, and it was certainly evident. Fire began to lightly grace his finger tips. "What, did you think that I LIKED Riku? After all that he did! He kidnapped Roxas, erased his memory of us...of me.." Axel glared at Iris. "And your little boyfriend made YOU lose your memory too!! He lead Smoke, Pai and Saix right to that place when he took Roxas, so when they found it, they used it on you!"

"Shut up!" Iris yelled back, her own anger raising.

Axel glared at her, but then stopped. "Forget this," he said. "I don't have to defend myself to you." Darkness seeped off of his jacket that was around Iris, and the gloves on Sora. Both disappeared from them, evaporating into the darkness to come back onto Axel. "I'm out of here."

"Fine by me." Iris said turning her back to Axel, "I never want to see you again, Axel."

Axel blinked back tears, a dark portal coming up behind him. He walked through it, the portal closing behind him.

"Axel, wait!!" Sora called. "Axel, don't go! You can't!"

Iris was fighting back her own tears, but kept her back turned and stayed silent.

Sora looked almost broken. He looked at Xajin with an anger that was not like him at all. "You. You did all of this!" he yelled. Oblivion appeared in his one hand, and OathKeeper in the other. "You never could keep yourself out of trouble, could you?" Sora said in a voice that wasn't his.

Iris' eyes widen, and she whirled around, "R-Roxas!?"

Xajin smirked, "Oh come on now. We both knew it would happen sooner or later."

Sora's image blurred, leaving Roxas there in the clothes he once wore as a citizen of Twilight Town. "All you ever do is try to hurt people, don't you?" he asked Xajin. "Even when Axel would ask you nicely to leave us alone, you just didn't want to." Oblivion seemed to grow darker in his hand while OathKeeper just got brighter. "It's payback time."

"Humph. As much as I would love make you suffer. I can't. I got orders to make sure little Riku completly lose his light." She looked at Iris, "And I'm sure once he realizes who she is, he will."

"Don't care," Roxas said. Oblivion was thrown deftly at Xajin's head. He turned back to Iris, the black jacket of the Organization appearing in his, now free, hand. He threw it to her. "Iris, take the jacket and hide yourself amongst the Organization. Try to find Riku. I'll catch up when I can." He clutched OathKeeper tightly in his hand. "Don't worry about me, I'm gonna be just fine with this wannabe. You've got a better chance of finding Riku and defeating your enemies with your keyblade, so go! He needs you."

Iris nodded putting on the jacket, "Please careful Roxas." then ran off.

Xajin dodged the attack, "You have to be quicker then that." She made a portal, "You want me? Thne come get me!" and ran through the portal.

Roxas caught Oblivion as it came back to him and followed Xajin through the portal, being careful. He was from the Organization too. He knew their tricks.

Meanwhile, Pai knew all this was happening but didn't raise the alarm. Instead she wanted to see how far they could go first. She went over to Riku's cell, "Hello there." She smiled wickedly.

Riku was on his hands and knees on the floor, breathing heavily from pain. He looked up at her. "What the hell do you want?" he growled.

"I just want to ask you a question." She said, "Remember after you defeated Roxas, a female Nobody attacked you. You know the one with the daggers?"

Riku raised an eyebrow, but nodded. "Yeah...but what has that got to do with anything?"

"What would you do if you saw her again?"

"I don't know. If she attacked me, I'd fight back..." Riku said. "But...I don't see what any of this has to do with anything!"

"That's where you're wrong." Pai smirked, "Think Riku. That nobody's fighting style, and attitude. Who does it remind you of?"

Riku growled at her, beginning to think. Within a few moments, he lifted his head back up and looked at her. "It wouldn't....Iris?"

"Yes it is."

Riku shook his head. "But...why? Why would she attack me? I was only doing my job to bring Roxas and Sora back together."

"Because Iris isn't all who you think to be." Pai said simply.

Riku growled at her. "I don't care. I care about her, no matter what she is. You can't change that."

"Oh really? Last I remember, she hated you and swore to KILL you."

Riku snorted. "Yeah, when I was dark. The darkness doesn't have a hold on me any longer. She's much closer to me than you realize."

Pai chuckled, "Oh really? I doubt it. She's been with Axel that last few days. And her memories of you and what you did are returning."

Riku shook his head again, not answering. The thought of Iris being with Axel was practically eating away at him inside. The one person he hated, despite how helpful he had been, was Axel. Axel, who knew Iris better than he did. Axel, who saved her from the Organization. The same Axel who saved Sora because Riku was too weak in darkness to help.

Riku clenched a fist in anger. "I hate him..." he hissed.

"Well have a nice night." Pai smirked and walked off.

Riku looked at her. "Do you know where he is?"

"No. But I know where Iris is."

Riku stood up, coming to the door. "Where?"

Iris ran in, the hood hiding her face, she saw Riku and Pai, "......Riku......"

Riku looked over, not sure who this person was. "What..? More Organization lackeys?"

Pai looked over with a raised eyebrow, but then smirked, "Wrong, Riku. Try again."

Riku looked at Pai, then back to the Nobody in the Organization jacket. "...Iris..?" he asked softly.

Iris only nodded.

"Iris...you gotta leave. They'll capture you too!" Riku said.

"Too late..." Smoke appeared infront of Iris.

"Iris, run!!" Riku yelled.

Smoke grabbed her by the collar and lefted her in mid air.

Iris struggled before managing to slip out of the jacket, and she ran off.

Riku glared angrily at Smoke. "Leave her the hell alone," he hissed. His darkness was starting to come back to him, feeding his anger. All he kept thinking about was ripping the Organization apart.

Iris stopped, sensing the darkness growing inside Riku, "Riku no-- Ack!" She was cut short from being swatted by Smoke's calwed hand.

Riku's darkness swelled at her yell, and it slipped out of his cell and slammed into Smoke harshly. Riku's form was beginning to fade in the darkness.

Smoke stumbbled then glared at Riku.

"Riku! Don't give in!" Iris yelled.

Smoke slammed Iris into a wall, "Shut up."

Iris yelled and hit the ground hard.

"STOP IT!!!" Riku yelled. The darkness long held dormant in his body flooded out, attacking Smoke with all of its strength.

Smoke yanked off his chain, and the attacked fazed though him.

Iris got up onto her hands and knees, only to have Smoke kick her in the gut. She yelped and fell back down.

Two red disks flew straight into Smoke, distracting him momentarily. Axel suddenly appeared behind Iris, picking her up in one fluid motion.

Riku's cell burst open from the darkness and he stepped out. He glared daggers at Axel. "Axel..." he hissed.

Axel looked at Riku with eyes that held only depression. "I'm sorry," he muttered, going back through his portal with Iris, closing it behind him before anyone could follow.

Riku yelled, disappearing into his own darkness.

Iris stuggled to get out of Axel's arms, but was too weak, "Let me go! Riku needs me!"

Axel opened up the portal far away from the Organization's HQ, putting her down on a bench nearby.

Riku suddenly appeared, slamming his darkness into Axel and throwing him clear across the street. "Don't touch her," he growled.

Axel yelped as he hit the pavement, not expecting the attack.

"Riku! Don't!" Iris yelled, trying to get up.

Riku ignored her, walking towards Axel as the fire wielder began to pick himself off the ground. Riku grabbed Axel's throat in a piece of his darkness, hoisting him up. He threw him once more, but straight into the building closest to them. He pressed Axel up against the wall. "You're going to die again, Axel. I should've killed you the moment you stepped foot on Destiny Islands. It would have saved me the trouble now."

Axel looked at Riku, but did not attempt to fight back against his darkness.

"Riku NO!" Iris by then got up, "Please stop!"

Riku looked back at her. "There's nothing you can say to change my mind, Iris. He's going to die. He's a traitor to everything, to Sora, to me, to you, even to his stupid Organization. He hasn't done anything worth his life!"

"Riku... please." Iris begged, placed a hand on his shoulder.

Riku's darkness flared around him. "Get off of me!" he yelled at her.

One of Axel's chakrams suddenly hit Riku, and Riku fell onto the ground, mildly bruised. Axel caught his chakram, now free from Riku's darkness. "I don't care who you are. She's trying to help you, you moron!"

Riku got back up, hissing.

Iris backed up from Riku, fighting back tears, "Riku..."

"SHUT UP!!" Riku yelled, his darkness surging out. Before Axel could react, the darkness went out to stab him.

"DON'T!" Iris shoved Axel out of the way before Riku could stab him, taking the blow instead.

"Iris!!" Axel yelled.

Riku suddenly realized what he had done, his darkness slowly disappearing. He ran forward, catching Iris before she collapsed. "I..Iris..."

Iris looked up at him, tears rolling down her face, "Riku..." she murmmered before blacking out.

"Iris!" Riku yelled. "No! Don't leave me, Iris! I'm sorry!!"

Iris blacked out, but she was still breathing.

Axel took off his jacket, putting it around her. "Come on," he whispered to Riku. "Follow me." He took Riku to another abandoned house, where Riku laid Iris down on the bed. Axel took off the vest over his shirt, tearing it and putting it around Iris as a bandage. "That's all I can do. I'm not a healer."

"Where the hell is Sora?" Riku asked. "He can heal."

Axel shrugged. "He was with Iris."

Xajin appeared with Roxas close behind. She saw Riku, "How did you...!?"

Riku glared at her. "Me to know and you not to find out. Wanna die?" he asked.

Axel saw the kid behind Xajin. "Ro...Roxas?!"

"Screw this! I'm outta here!" Xajin made a dark portal and left.

Roxas looked over at Axel, who was dumbstruck with surprise. He smiled. "Hey Axel."

Axel walked towards Roxas and touched his head to see if he was real, then grabbed him in a hug. "Roxas! You're back!"

Iris started to sweat, and her beathing became shallow.

Riku went over to Iris. "Roxas, please, she's hurt. She needs to be healed."

Roxas looked at Axel. "Axel...I have to go..."

"No! No, Roxas, don't...I don't have anyone left!" Axel yelled.

Roxas hugged him. "I'm sorry.." He went over to Iris, turning back into Sora along the way. He casted Curaga on her.

Iris' eyes fluttered open.

Riku and Sora looked down at her. "Iris? You okay?" Riku asked.

"Man, you scared us," Sora said with a goofy smile.

Iris smiled weakly, "I'm fine..."

Axel barely smiled, still quite depressed from the recent events. "That's Iris for you...always the tough one."

Iris looked at Axel, "Axel... what I said back there... I didn't mean it. I... I was just so mad and... I'm sorry..."

Riku looked at Axel. "I'm sorry too. I just...I couldn't stand knowing that you and Iris were close."

Axel only shrugged. "Don't worry about it, you two."

Iris tried to get up, but was still weak, "Ugh..."

Riku put a hand on her shoulder. "Take it easy. Let's go home, okay?" He looked over at Axel.

Axel looked at Riku. "Oh, right...I'm the only one who can make portals." He formed a darkness portal for them. "Okay, Destiny Islands await."

Iris nodded, "Home sounds good."

Riku picked her up in his arms, heading into the portal with her.

Sora ran in after them.

Axel walked over to his jacket, putting it on and zipping it up before eventually following them through the portal.

Iris sighed and snuggled close to Riku, "I missed you."

As they came out to Destiny Islands, he held her closer. "I missed you too, Iris...I'm sorry. I let the darkness take hold of me again..."

Iris looked up at Riku, "It's alright."

"No, it's not," Riku said. "I thought I was strong enough, but it looks like I have more journeying to do until I can truly be free from the darkness forever."

Sora nudged Riku. "Riku, you'll never be free from the darkness. You're half light and half dark. Sometimes, you'll shine brighter than anyone, and other times, you'll seep into darkness. But it's just the way you are! That's who you are, Riku, and there's no reason to be ashamed."

"Sora!!" Kairi yelled, colliding into him and forcing him onto the sand. "Sora, you were gone so long! I missed you!"

Sora grinned. "I missed you too, Kairi."

"Sora is right, Riku." Iris said, "But if you have to journey around, then I'll come with you."

Riku looked at her with surprise, but gave a small smile and nodded. "Okay. We'll make the journey together."

"Get a room, you four," Axel said, closing the portal after him. "Come on, do some of us a favor."

Iris smiled and rested her head against Riku's chest.

Riku looked back at Axel with a smile, then carried Iris up to their joined room to let her rest.

Kairi grabbed Sora by the hand and dragged him off to see King Mickey, Donald, and Goofy, and to tell him what all happened during their fight.

Axel smiled and shook his head. "Kids.." he muttered, then sat down on the dock, looking up at the stars.

"You're going to rest too, right?" Iris asked Riku.

Riku nodded. "Axel and the others will keep watch." He laid her down on the bed, then got himself comfortable on the couch nearby. "Don't worry, we'll be okay."

"Why must you always lay on the couch?" Iris asked with a smile, "I want you with me."

Riku lightly blushed under his silver hair, but nodded, getting up and going to the bed to lay beside her. "Get some rest, Iris. We'll need it." He kissed her forehead before laying his head down.

Iris snuggled close to him, resting her head on his chest, "You too." she said before closing her eyes.

Riku held her close as he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Axel wandered up into the treehouses. "Yo, Sora, mind if I..." he stopped, seeing Sora and Kairi asleep in each other's arms on the deck. "Ugh..." he sighed. He walked up to the little island that stood out from the others, sitting on the large bowed over tree that Riku, Sora and Kairi would sit on. "Life sure throws you curve balls, eh, Roxas?" he asked out loud, resting his head back on the tree.

~*Meanwhile*~

“Are you sure it was him!?” Pai asked Xajin.

Xajin nodded, “Positive.”

“Hmmmm, we could use this to our advantage…”

Xajin looked her, “Want me to go after him.”

“No.” Pai said, “Not yet anyway. Leave them alone on their precious little island for a few days, to throw them off guard. That will me time bring back an old friend.” She smiled evilly.

~*Back at the Island*~

Axel sat up as the sun came up over the water's ridges. He stretched, taking off his black jacket because of the heat. "It's already so damn hot on this island," he muttered.

"Heads up!" a voice yelled, and a large, solid ball collided with Axel's butt. Axel yelped and fell into the water, unbalanced on the tree trunk.

"Yo, sorry, man!" Wakka called. "My aim's a bit off."

Axel sat up in the water. "A bit?" he asked. "Isn't everyone still asleep?"

Wakka laughed. "You're the one who slept in, sleepin' beauty!"

"Gee, nice aiming, Wakka!" Iris joked as she offered a hand to Axel.

Axel took her hand, slowly standing. "The hell?" he asked. "Why didn't any of you wake me?"

"Because you looked so peaceful in your sleep." Iris teased.

"Very funny," Axel grumbled, pulling water out of his hair.

Iris just smiled, and picked up the blitz ball. She turned around, "Hey Wakka, you want this back?" she asked, an impish grin appearing on her face.

Wakka nodded. "Yeah," he said.

"Ooh boy," Tidus moaned.

"You better start running then!" Iris kicked the ball hard, and went on the otherside of the island.

Wakka groaned, running after the ball.

Axel smirked.

"Hey, be happy I didn't kick the ball with full force." Iris smirked.

Axel laughed. "Same old Iris," he said.

Iris just grinned and... pushed Axel back into the water, "Opps. My bad."

Axel splashed into the water, looking up at her. "I supoose I deserved that."

"Maybe." Iris smirked.

Axel shrugged.

"Having fun?" Riku asked, wading out to them.

"Eh, I'm just bored." Iris said.

Riku smiled. "We just need to have fun is all. Who knows when trouble will arrive."

Iris grinned impishly, "Fun, eh?" She then shoved Riku into the water, "Hows that?" she laughed.

Riku pushed his hair out of his eyes and used his foot to trip her into the water and on top of him. "Yeah, it is."

She yelped in surpise, before laughing, and splashing Riku.

Riku grinned at her.

Axel waved a hand a bit. "Hey, get a room, you two."

"Oh come on, Axel." Iris laughed, splashing Axel, "We're not even doing anything yet."

"'Yet' being the key word," Axel said.

Iris rolled her eyes.

Riku kicked water at Axel.

"Hey!" Axel said. "Watch it!"

"Aw come on now. It's just water Axel." Iris smirked.

"And I'm fire," Axel protested. "Water is not my thing." He stopped and pondered for a moment. "Then again....I WAS really good friends with Demyx..."

"Besides, isn't ice techically you're elemental weakness?" Iris pointed out.

"Ice and Water," Axel said. "But Demyx and I were good buddies....and Larx and I were on so-so terms for a while....Until, ahem, our little mishap in Castle Oblivion."

Iris smirked, then asked Riku, "Hey where's Sora?"

Riku thought. "Well, Kairi and him were sleeping on the balcony. I think Kairi's gone off someplace and left Sora to sleep like a log."

An impish grin appeared on her face, "I say we should wake him up then."

Riku returned her grin with one of his own, getting up from the water. "This'll be interesting."

Iris nodded, "Very."

Axel shook his head.

Riku led Axel and Iris up to the balcony, where, sure enough, Sora was sleeping peacefully. Riku poked him with his foot. "The kid sleeps like a boulder."

"Mistake number one from Sora: Sleeping in. Mistake number two..." Iris smirked and pointed at the water, "Sleeping in on the balcony."

Riku carefully picked Sora up, climbing up onto the railing of the balcony. "Okay, ready?"

Iris nodded, "Yep."

Riku dropped the sleeping kid into the water below. There was a loud splash, then the sound of spitting and yelling.

"HEY!!" Sora yelled.

Iris busted out laughing XD

Riku laughed as well at Sora's wet face.

Sora pouted, but started to grin. "How long was I out?"

"Practically twelve hours!" Riku shouted, hopping over the railing and into the water beside him.

"More like fourteen!" Iris jumped in, and duncked Sora.

Sora yelped as he went underwater, but came back up with a grin. He shook like a dog, getting Iris wet.

Iris laughed, splashing him in the face.

Sora smirked.

"Sora!" a voice called, and suddenly, he was back in the water, Kairi on top of him. She smiled.

"Hey Kairi...." Sora bubbled.

Iris laughed.

Riku smirked. "Come on, let's go get something to eat, I'm starving."

"Same here." Iris got out of the water, and offered a hand to Riku.

Riku took her hand, getting out of the water with Kairi and Sora.

Sora glanced at Riku. "Race ya!" he yelled, and both of them took off like shots to the kitchen.

Kairi laughed. "Such kids..."

Iris smiled, "That's what makes them fun to be with."

Kairi hurried after the two. "Hey, wait for us!"

Axel watched them run off, shaking his head. Just like you, Roxas...

Iris stopped and turned to Axel, "Hey come on, Axel!" she then smirked, "What's the matter? Afaird to be outrun by a girl?"

Axel smirked. "Nah. I'd just use a darkness portal."

"Cheater." She joked.

Axel shrugged, following them up to the tree house. "I'd like to think of it as an advantage for my disability."

"Disability for running sloooooow?"

He shook his head and poked himself in the chest. "No. I don't have a heart."

Iris shrugged, "Me either."

Axel chuckled. "Yeah, sure. We'll see about that," he said, walking past her.

Iris grinned and ran passed him.

Axel quickly took off after her. "Hey, no fair!"

Iris just laughed as she ran off.

Axel ran off after Iris. "Cheater!"

Iris stook her tongue out at him and kept running.

Axel summoned a darkness portal, jumping through it. He reappeared directly in front of Iris, grabbing her in his arms.

Iris yelped in surpise.

Axel grinned and picked her up in his arms, taking her into the room where the rest were getting something to eat. "Your princess has arrived!" he announced to Riku, putting Iris down on a sofa chair.

Riku smiled to Iris.

Iris smiled back and hugged him, "Missed me?" she asked jokingly.

"Of course," he replied, kissing her forehead. "Sora's making sandwiches."

Iris smiled and sat on Riku's lap.

Axel flopped into a chair. "You people are so tiring."

"Too much on you, Axel?" Riku asked with a smile.

The fire-wielder just smirked. "Nah, just too perky."

Iris just luaghed and hugged Riku.

Riku kissed her cheek.

"Nice, but my lips are here." She said, kissing Riku on the lips.

Axel groaned. "Ugh, get a room, you two. What if Pai came waltzing in?"

"I'll kick her ass."

Riku laughed. "Or maybe she'd die of shock just by seeing us, eh?"

Axel smiled, getting comfortable in the chair.

Suddenly there was yelling from Donald and Goofy, from outside.

Axel got to his feet, groaning. "What now, you whackos?!"

There was a third voice yelling, but it was female, "Gah! What the HELL! Get off me! I'm a good guy dammit!"

Axel hurried outside. "Hey, get offa her, you weirdo duck and dog!" he yelled. He grabbed Donald by the shirt and Goofy by his vest, lifting them away.

A girl wearing an Organization jackect, with the hood hidding her face was on the ground. She mumbled and got to her feet, "Damn crazy animals..."

"What're you doing here, Organization chick?" Axel asked.

The girl looked up at hm, "Wha!? Oh..." She pulled her hood down reveiling Flowy silver, purple, and black hair, and purple/silver eyes. She smiled, "Remember me now?"

Axel's jaw dropped. "D..Del?!"

Delirium smiled, "Yep."

Axel hugged her. "Damn it, woman, I thought Pai killed you! Don't scare me like that!!"

Delirium laughed, "Well look who talking! I thought you were dead!"

Axel rubbed the back of his head. "Well...I kind of was."

"You were???"

Axel nodded. "I sacrificed myself to save Sora. But...uh....Iris brought me back."

Delirium blinked, "Iris is alive too!? Where is she!?"

Axel pointed behind himself to the treehouse. "But Del...she doesn't remember."

Delirium looked at him, "What happened?"

"Saix," Axel growled. "Him and Pai."

"Man a lot has happened since I left the Organization..."

Axel nodded. "You bet."

"So Iris dosn't remember anything? Not even... you?" She asked.

Axel sighed. "She gets dreams about what's happened....but other than that, no. She thought I was her enemy when she first saw me."

Delirium looked at her friend sadly and hugged him, "I'm sorry."

Axel returned the hug. "Nah...It's okay. She's got herself another guy now, so, I'm okay with it. It's just been killer because you and Roxas were gone too.."

"But I'm back now." Delirium said with a slight smile.

Axel smiled. "Yeah, you are." He frowned a little. "I saw Roxas...for a few moments...but he disappeared, back into that kid."

"In Sora?" Delirium sighed, "At least you saw him."

Axel nodded. "But he's gone again. He had to go back."

"Like I said. At least you saw him. I haven't seen him in two years..."

Axel pulled Delirium to him in a hug. "I...I miss him too..." he said quietly.

Delirium sighed sadly, and rested her head on his shoulder.

Axel looked down at her. "Look...we may not have Roxas or Iris any longer...but we have each other. And we'll be okay."

Delirium just nodded.

Axel looked at her. "Hey...you okay?"

"Yeah. I'm fine."

Axel put a hand under her chin and lifted her face to look at him. "Don't lie. I know you better than that."

"I AM fine. It's just... so much has happened..." she sighed.

Axel smiled. "Yeah, and we've got much more to do. Pai is getting restless and has introduced our friends to her FAVORITE buddy."

Delirium shuddered, "Him!? Oh god..."

Axel sighed. "Come on, let me show you around. We'll talk about it," he said, leading her to the little bridge to the mini-island where he had slept the night before. "Smoke has attacked us A LOT."

"Sounds like you had LOTS of fun." Delirium said sarcasticly.

Axel nodded. "Yeah, sure. I got dumped in the snow several times."

Delirium hugged him, "Poor you."

"Hey, I got dropped on my head by Smoke!" Axel said, sitting on the bent over tree. "That hurts!"

"That's why I said 'Poor you'."

Axel sighed. "Meh..." he muttered. "Pai'll be back. I'm just trying to give these kids a break."

Delirium looked at him, "And I'll help you."

He looked at her. "You're....you're going to stay?"

Delirium smiled, "Of course!"

Axel smiled. "Well, that'll definitely make things happier for me. Now...." He looked at her and smirked. "How to destroy Pai? That'll make me VERY happy."

Delirium laughed but then grew serious, "We'll have to take out her bodyguard first..."

Axel threw his hands up and grabbed his chest. "Ooh! I give in!" he faked, dropping to the sand on his back as though he was shot. "Uh, can't...beat...smoky...bastard..." And Axel 'died'.

Delirium looked at him for a second before busting out laughing.

Axel's body jerked and his tongue lolled out. "Ugh!" he moaned. Then he started laughing. "Whew, had you going there for a moment, Del," he said.

Delirium rolled her eyes, "No you didn't."

Axel sat up. "Suuuuure.."

She playfuly whacked him, "You didn't."

"Okay, okay," Axel said with a grin. "I don't think that would've fooled anyone, not even the smoky bastard himself."

"Might make him laugh to death though." Delirium said with a smirk.

Axel laughed. "Yeah, probably." Then he thought about it. "Nah, I don't think he has lungs."

"Good point."

Axel suddenly begins to laugh again. "The hell! He's practically a walking...smoky...CORPSE!!!" He laughed harder for no reason, falling back in the sand.

She just shook her head and laughed, "Goof ball..."

He sat up, wiping tears from his eyes from laughing so hard. "Whoo....that was weird."

"Very."

Axel stood, dusting himself off. "Hey, it WAS funny."

Delirium smiled, "Yeah it was."

Axel smiled, sitting back on the tree limb. "So....what can we do about them. They have every advantage but one."

"But one? And what would that be?"

"We have Sora, silly," he said, putting his hands behind his head. "It's like having Roxas there. Without a keyblade wielder, Pai still has a weakness."

"True..."

Axel thought some. "Eventually, we'll find the weakness to Smoke, and then Pai is history. She can't get any worse. She has the most powerful fighter, who probably only has ONE weakness, with how strong he is. She can't do any more." He smiled. "We can only get better."

Delirium nodded in agreement.

"Plus..." Axel added. "Now we have you on our side."

Delirium smiled.
