its about the typical family where the daughter wants to get married and the parents are freakin' out over it (cuz theyre all paranoid and stuff), and the dad keeps trying to prove that the soon-to-be son-in-law is like a criminal or something, making himself look like an idiot, the daughter's mom is all about future grandchildren, and they eventually decide to have the wedding with every member of each family IN THEIR HOUSE, causing the police to come, and it all ends up with an alternative-rock happy wedding ending, with the bride wearing Nikes while she's dancing, the police officers happily drunk, and the dad finally accepting the son-in-law. big sappy ending.
