Akemi sat quietly in the bushes in the woods, staring at the exact spot she had seen the two strangers in black cloaks a few weeks before. She thought back to that day, wandering through the woods when she heard voices through the trees. She had stopped, and looked and seen those two, dressed in long black cloaks with what looked like red clouds printed all over them. One was quite taller then the other, and holding a large sword over his shoulder. The other one was shorter then his companion, with jet black hair tied back loosely. She sighed and leaned on her knees. I hope they come back.. I want to see them again she thought to herself.

Shadow was walking through the woods,she had been up all night training and was tired,"I think I'll rest abit."she sat under a tree not to far from Akemi,and she fell asleep.

Aedin moved silently, easily through the trees. She had nothing in particular to do today and was simply running off some extra energy as she thought to herself.

Mae landed a few inches away from Akemi and looked at her. "What'cha looking at?" she asked curiously.

Akemi squeaked and jumped. She looked at Mae with angry eyes for a moment before sighing. "nothing..." she looked back to the spot, then away again.

Mae shrugged and smiled. "Are you a leaf ninja too?" she then asked.

Todd was walking through the woods and saw Shadow under the tree asleep,he walked over to her,"Is she asleep?"he whispered to himself,he looked closer and decided she was,then he heard voices and walked over to the bushes where Akemi and Mae were.

Aedin lost her concentration, it was a sudden and unexpected thing when she came crashing down from the treetops. She landed, however, in a crouched position, her heart pounding. How'd I manage that one?

Akemi nodded. "Yes" she answered quietly to Mae, before turning around fast when she heard someone falling from the treetops.

Mae looked around as well and frowned. "Hmmm now I'm curious.." she said quietly as she moved towards the sounds.

Todd heard the person fall and followed Mae,and Akemi quietly,and quickly while ducking behind things so he wouldn't be noticed.

Akemi shrugged it off and turned to look at that spot again. She sighed deeply.

A little white pup came running up behind Mae, tackling her side and barking.

Mae shrieked and jumped before looking at the little puppy. "Akamaru!"

Kiba came crashing through the branches. "AKAMARU!! Where'd ya go!!" he yelled, not noticing Mae, or Akamaru near him.

Akamaru barked loudly, prouncing around Mae's feet happily.

A girl stepped in after Akamaru, she wore a black cloak with the hood up- looking rather ominous. She was, indeed, a she but didn't look it- you couldn't see her face and the cloak, for some reason indicated her being male. She had a pair of metal bars attached to her back by a sling.

Mae winced slightly and looked at Kiba, suddenly blushing. "Umm Kiba...Akamaru is right here."

Todd was watching from behind the tree,Crap he thought as he sneezed very loudly.

Kiba frowned and went over to Mae and Akamaru. He picked the pup up and frowned even more at it. "Akamaru.. you know better then to run off like that" he put the dog on his shoulder before looking at Mae. "Thanks.."

Mae looked at Kiba and smiled slightly. "He's the one that came running up to me." she said quietly.

Shiona was standing behind Todd and looked at him. "You're bad at hidding kid."

Todd turned and sniffed,"Damn my allergies."

Akurra chuckled a little at the girl's reaction to Akamaru and Kiba's arrival. She had been training with Kiba, Shino and Hinata earlier.

Aedin heard voices nearby and, after brushing herself off and losing the 'I just fell 100 feet and lived' look, she walked casually towards them, "An awful lot of people in the woods today, some sort of special occasion?" She spoke loudly.

Shiona smirked and then noticed a leather bracelet on the ground, she picked it up and grinned to herself. "Forget you ever saw me." she told Todd.

Todd blinked as two men in black cloaks that had what looked like red clouds appeared and they started to search for something on the ground.

Itachi was looking for his bracelet,"DAMN IT,It's not here Kisame!"

Akemi had turned and was watching the group of people when she heard Itachi's voice. She turned again fast and stared into the woods at Itachi and Kisame. "Oh my gosh.. they're back.." she said mostly to herself, but outloud. She jumped back into her place and stared hard at them, trying to figure out who they were.

Shiona sat on a branch in one of the trees near Itachi and Kisame and chuckled softly. "Looking for something?" she asked, holding the bracelet.

Kisame looked at Itachi and then up at Shiona. "There it is Itachi!"

"Uchiha, Itachi." Aedin sauntered slowly towards them, "Never thought you'd be seen in this area again."

Itachi looked at Shiona,"GIVE ME THAT!"

Todd looked at Aedin,"I don't think he wants to talk right now,his bracelet has been stolen by that person up there."he pointed at Shiona as he talked.

Aedin snorted, "A bracelet?" She shook her head, "Either way, he's a wanted nin. Killed his whole clan you know... save one of course..."

Todd looked at Aedin,"Really??Why?"

"I don't..." Aedin felt like she was choking and immediately turned her gaze to the sky, "I don't know."

Tsome was training on the training grounds, working hard.

Kira was watching her as she was reading her book on different fighting stances.

Akemi was staring hard at Kisame and Itachi. She was so concentrated she hadn't realized she was walking toward them in awe and wonder.

Kiba rubbed the back of his head and grinned. Then he looked around boredly, then at Akamaru. "Come on buddy, let's go train!" Akamaru barked in agreement.

Todd looked at Aedin,"Are you ok?"

Itachi saw Akemi out of the corner of his eye and turned in her direction,"Who are you?"

"I'm fine." Aedin shook her head as she spoke, "No worries, I just remembered something is all."

"Are you sure,it sounds like you are about to cry."Todd said while looking at the sky.

"Nah, in any case my emotional state doesn't matter... We've got a problem here." Aedin waved her hand towards the intruders.

Akemi stopped fast, dead in her tracks. She stared at Itachi, blinking and frozen. "Uhhh.... " she loooked at Kisame, then at Itachi once again. "Ummm... A-akemi.." she answered, forcing her voice.

Todd shrugged,"They aren't trying to kill anyone,let them be."

Itachi looked at Akemi,"Akemi?Well why are you here?"

"They aren't trying to kill anyone, no, but it's troublesome having them here nonetheless." Aedin replied, "I can't just walk away."

"I... I... wait.. who are you?" Akemi stopped stuttering and looked at Itachi quizzically before glancing at Kisame shyly.

Itachi blinked,"I'm Itachi Uchiha,and that's Kisame."

Akemi continued staring at Itachi, glancing everynow and then at Kisame.

Shiona stayed in the tree and smirked evilly. "If you want it that bad, then come get it." she said.

Mae sighed softly and looked down. "So what were you doing out here Kiba?"

Kisame looked at Akemi and frowned slightly. "What?"

Akemi looked away from Kisame fast, a small blush crossing her cheeks. "Nothing" she said softly.

Kiba stretched, putting his arms behind his head casually. "Training, wandering.." he answered calmly.

Kisame raised an eyebrow. "Sure.."

Mae blushed lightly and smiled. "So what move were you guys training."

Akemi shrugged. "What? It's true.. I'm.. just... here.." she said, not looking at Kisame.

"Nothing really.. just training..." Kiba answered, smiling.

Kisame shrugged and looked at Itachi. "Are you getting that bracelet or not?" he asked.

Mae moved her arms behind her back. "Hey Kiba! Can I come along to train too?"

Gaara stood on the rooftop of a building staring at the commotion below. Kankuro stood by his side as like a guard incase anyone decided to attack. Gaara had his arms crossed and his legs planted to the ground staring down at the people with wonder and hatred.

Sasuke stood further away and sighed. "Naruto, Sakura...Hurry up." he mumbled.

Itachi looked at Kisame,then at Shiona,"Fine!" he jumped up in the tree next to Shiona,"GIVE ME THAT!"He grabbed at the bracelet.

Naruto had stopped briefly in the woods before realizing he had lost Sakura and Sasuke. He slapped his forehead and frowned before running through the woods once again. He was too busy looking around for Sakura and Sasuke as he ran, that he failed to notice Kira sitting by the tree he was soon to pass. He tripped over her feet clumsily and fell flat on his face roughly.

Kira yelped. "A-are you okay?!"

Tsome stopped her training and looked over. "Kira, you okay?"

Shiona chuckled softly and smiled evilly at Itachi. "You really haven't changed Itachi." she said.

Kisame sighed heavilly and looked back at Akemi. "Don't tell anyone we were here."

Sasuke noticed Naruto and sighed. "That idiot," he whispered.

Itachi lost his balence and grabed Shiona and they both fell to the ground.

Shikamaru was lying under a tree three feet from Tsome,Naruto and Kira he had been asleep when he heard a yelp,he walked over to them,"What's going on,I was asleep."

"Sorry to wake you Shika... Naruto tripped over me." Kira said, helping Naruto up.

Tsome rolled her eyes and chuckled.

Shikamaru sighed,"How troublesome,but it's ok."

Naruto frowned slightly, groaning before standing and stretching. "Sorry.. guess I should watch where I'm going.." he grinned stupidly and scratched the back of his head.

Akemi looked at Kisame, then nodded, her facial expression not changing one bit.

Shikamaru sighed,"Just watch where you are going next time Naruto."

Naruto looked at Shikamaru, the grin disappearing. He crossed his arms. "No one asked you!"

Shikamaru looked at Naruto,"You could have hurt someone other than yourself."

Naruto growled slightly, his arms now stiff at his sides. His fists clenched tightly. "Shut up Shikamaru!!!" he exclaimed loudly.

Shikamaru raised an eyebrow,"I'm just saying,you're so troublesome Naruto."

"You're one to talk Shika!!" Naruto frowned, pointing at Shikamaru angrily now.

Kiba came walking up to the two and frowned. "what the hell's going on here?" he asked. Akamaru barked in agreement.

Shikamaru shrugged,"Naruto's getting mad because I told him to watch where he's going cause he tripped over that girl."he pointed at Kira.

Kiba looked at Naruto then shook his head and looked away. "Ignore him Shikamaru, you know that's the only way to make him leave" he chuckled lightly.

Naruto growled abit louder. "SHUT UP!!!" he exclaimed, charging at Kiba.

Shikamaru grabbed Naruto around the waist,"Calm down Naruto."

Kiba laughed lightly and casually put his arms behind his head. "You couldn't hurt me even if you tried!" he laughed.

Naruto flailed his arms, fighting against Shikamaru who was holding him back.

Shikamaru sighed,"How troublesome,Kiba stop teasing him."

"I'm not teasing him Shikamaru, I'm just stating the facts" Kiba responded, still smiling.

Naruto gave up and pulled away from Shikamaru. "Think what you want Kiba, I know who the best is... and nothing you can say will change my mind!"

Shikamaru looked at Kiba,"The facts?Who was it that got beat by Naruto in the exams."

It was Kiba's turn to cross his arms. "That was pure luck on his part!" he exclaimed.

Naruto laughed. "Luck had nothing to do with it dog boy!! I'm better, and I'M GONNA BECOME HOKAGE!!!! BELIEVE IT!!" Naruto jumped into the air, one finger up in a triumphant pose.

Shikamaru punched Naruto,"That's so annoying."

Naruto stumbled backwards in shock for a moment before standing straight up and glaring at Shikamaru. Then he charged at Shikamaru, moving his hands in the different signs. After a very brief moment, five of him charged at Shikamaru.

Kiba rolled his eyes and jumped into a nearby tree to watch, Akamaru hanging from his hood.

Shikamaru used his speacial shadow possesion jutsu causing all five Naruto's to become immobile.

The real Naruto dodged the attack just in time, the other four poofing out of existence. "I'LL GET YOU!!" he screamed.

Shikamaru tried again.

Naruto dodged again, then charged at Shikamaru, but was stopped and knocked over by Kiba jumping down from the tree.

"Naruto, stop being such a damn showoff!" Kiba just about yelled.

Shikamaru looked up at the clouds,"How troublesome."

Mae sighed as she watched the boys a little further from where they were and slightly hid behind a tree. "Why can't I tell him?" she asked herself quietly.

Kisame's eyes widened as he moved out of the way as Itachi and Shiona fell, grabbing Akemi's arm uncontiously and pulling her out of the way.

Shiona uncontiously grabbed on to Itachi. "Good job!"

Akemi tripped as Kisame pulled her out of the way, sending her falling against him. She blushed brightly and looked away fast.

Naruto growled and shoved Kiba off him before walking away angrily.

Kiba rolled his eyes then looked around for Akamaru. "Oh, where'd he go now??"

Akamaru ran over to Mae and bounced around her happily.

Kisame sighed heavilly. "Are you ok?" he askled looking at Akemi.

Mae blushed lightly and looked down at Akamaru. "Why do you also find me?"

Sasuke has his arms crossed and smirked. "You're seriously going to let him do that to you?" he asked Naruto.

"He wasn't worth the energy!" Naruto growled in response.

Akamaru barked loudly. Kiba looked around, then followed Akamaru's barking.

Akemi looked up at Kisame and nodded shyly. "Ye-yea.. thanks.."

Kisame looked at Itachi and Shiona. "Good." he said quietly.

Mae froze and noticed Kiba getting closer. "Great.." she whispered.

Sasuke chuckled and smirked a little more. "Or is he too strong for you?"

Itachi had fallen on his back so that Shiona was on top of him.

Naruto glared at Sasuke. "Did I say that??? NO!! HE WASN'T WORTH MY TIME!" he yelled angrily before stomping away off to the traiing grounds.

Akemi was still blushing as she took a step away from Kisame shyly.

Kiba came through the trees and faced Mae. "Well, hello again!" he said half smiling.

Mae's cheeks turned bright red as she looked up at Kiba. "H..hi." she stuttered.

Sasuke shook his head and followed Naruto. "Hey do you know where Sakura is!?" he asked. "She's late."

Shiona sighed as she mvoed off of Itachi and rubbed her side. "Are you always that clumsy?"

Kisame looked at Akemi slightly, his cloak hidding his smirk.

Itachi snatched the bracelet from Shiona,"No,I lost my balance,are you ok?"

Akemi looked up at Kisame again, not sure what to do.

Kiba smiled and tried to catch Akamaru. Akamaru scampered around behind Mae's legs and sat there.

Naruto shrugged. "How should I know, you guys disappeared, leaving me alone out there!" he exclaimed.

Shikamaru went back to the tree and looked up at the clouds.

Shiona sighed and looked at Itachi. "What if I'm not?" she asked sarcastically.

Kisame watched Itachi and sighed. "Here we go again." he muttered.

Sasuke followed after Naruto. "We thought you were right behind us."

Mae blushed a little more and looked down at Akamaru. "Ummm Kiba.."

Akemi also looked at Itachi, wonderin'g what was going to happen next.

"Sure ya did!" Naruto responded pointedly.

Kiba frowned and stood up straight, looking at Mae. "Yea, what?"

Itachi got up and looked at her,"Then I'm sorry,it was my fault after all."he didn't know why he had apologized,but he had.

Tsome sighed, finally spaking up. "Will all of you just calm down? YOur all so... troublesome..." she said, not really thinking of a better word that could describe Naruto and the others better.

Kira laughed lightly and went back to reading.

Shiona stood and sighed. "So what the hck are you doing back here anyways?" she asked,"Besides for your precious bracelet."

Mae took a deep breath, gathering up some courage and looked at Kiba slightly. "Well I umm...Like you." she said quietly.

Itachi shurgged,"My bracelet was the main reason."

Shiona chuckled and placed her hands on her hips. "I'm curious to know if the Akatsuki is recruting at the moment."

Itachi looked at Shiona,"Yes we are,but you need to go through some tests first."

Shiona smirked as she moved a little closer to Itachi. "Then bring me along, I want to join."

Itachi nodded,"Come Kisame we're leaving."Itachi left for the TNWRPAkatsukiHideout.

Shiona followed after Itachi and glanced over at Aedin before. "Don't you even try." she whispered quietly.

Kisame sighed and looked at Akemi. "I'll see you around." he said and then took off after Shiona and Itachi.TNWRPAkatsukiHideout

Aedin jutted her jaw out stubbornly to the three as they left, "I'll do what I damn well please!" She called after Shiona, "You're lucky that I didn't attack anyway! I see any of you around the village again and I won't hold back, you understand?!" Her voice echoed off of the trees.

Gaara ,who had been nearby most of the time, appeared infront of Aedin with his arms crossed. "Threatening is useless." He said in his bored way.

Kankuro followed after Gaara. "Gaara, you shouldn't just dissap-" He stopped when he looked at Aedin and blinked.

"Bah, I know that." Aedin shook her head in frustration, "They think they can just waltz around and do as they please. So, what are the both of you doing in Konoha today?"

"Watching. Observing..." Gaara stated answering her question.
Kankuro hadn't said a word, but stared at Aedin.

"Hm," Aedin replied and shrugged, she noticed Kankuro's stare, "Er... is something wrong?"

Kankuro stood qickly in an untamed manner. "No. Course not. Let's go Gaara."

"What is the rush Kankuro? Stay and enjoy the cool breeze. We don't get it in the sand much." Gaara told Kankuro while looking at Aedin.

"You guys ever build sand castles?" Aedin asked out of the blue, though her tone sounded serious, her eyes shone with the amusent of a joke. She brushed a hand through her mussed dark hair uncertainly- it was a nervous habit of hers.

"No. There is no time for petty things like that." Gaara said. His voice with a serious scent. He wasn't one much to be able to distinguish jokes.

"Gaara. I think she was joking." Kankuro placed a hand on Gaara's shoulder.

Aedin laughed, "Indeed, it was a joke." She replied, "Lighten up, you should allow yourself a good laugh once in a while-" Here she winked, "It's good for the soul."

"Laugh?" Gaara asked with a raised eyebrow.
Kankuro started laughing. "Listen chick. He is hopeless when it comes to fun."

"I can always try." Aedin replied with a simple shrug, "Nothing is hopeless."

"What's your name anyways? I'm Kankuro. And this grump here is my little brother Gaara."

"Name's Aedin." She replied fluidly with a smile.

Akemi wandered through the woods alone, thinking of Kisame. She wondered where he disappeared to. She took a deep breath and sighed.

Sasuke sighed as he nearly bumped into Akemi. "What the heck are you doing?"

Akemi looked at Sasuke. "What does it matter to you?" she answered plainly.

Sasuke shrugged and smirked. "Nothing I guess," he said,"I was just wondering."

Akemi shrugged also. "If you must know, I'm thinking. Do you know a man by the name of Kisame? He was wearing a black cloak... of some sort..."

Sasuke's smirk disappeared and glared at Akemi. "And if it does?"

Akemi frowned slightly. "You know him?"

"He's my brother's partner," Sasuke growled.

"Who.. who's your brother?" Akemi asked timidly, stepping back from Sasuke slightly.

Sasuke clenched his fists. "Itachi...Uchiha..."

Akemi stared hard at Sasuke, unsure of what to say or do. She gulped. "Are... are they members of a... gang or something?" she asked softly.

Sasuke nodded and calmed down slightly. "Yeah the Akatsuki, and they're after Naruto."

Akemi nodded. "Interesting..." she muttered below her breath. A smile crossed her lips.

Sasuke looked at Akemi suddenly. "If you see Naruto and Sakura, tell them that I say goodbye," he said.

"Why goodbye? Where are you going? And DON'T say nowhere because you're going somewhere" Akemi exclaimed, stepping closer to Sasuke. "If you're going to find your brother and that Kisame guy.. take me with you" she demanded.

Sasuke raised an eybrow. "I need to get stronger before I fight my brother," he said.

"Then just tell me where to go and I'll go find him myself" Akemi demanded, grabbing Sasuke's shoulder. She stared hard at him.

"Try at their hideout," Sasuke told Akemi.

Mae sighed softly and looked down, wondering how Kiba would react to her liking him. She then knelt down and lightly petted Akamaru.

Kiba stood in a casual stance, his arms behind his head. He half smiled, showing some of his teeth. He stared Mae right in the eyes. "Do ya now.. well.. I like you too" he said softly as if not wanting others to hear.

Mae froze slightly and looked up at Kiba. "You do?" she asked as she blushed.

Kiba nodded, smiling a wide grin. "Yea, I do.."

Mae stood up and smiled lightly, her blush still there. "I didn't think you did," she said quietly.

"What gave you that idea?" Kiba answered plainly.

Mae shrugged and looked down. "I don't know, just a feeling I had I guess."

Kiba chuckled, then looked down at Akamaru bouncing around Mae once again.

Mae giggled as she looked at Akamaru. "He looks happy."

"He is. He likes you, that's for sure" Kiba laughed lightly at Akamaru.

Mae looked at Kiba slightly. "Well that's nice to know," she said smiling.

Kiba nodded and stretched before looking around boredly.

Mae smirked and placed a hand on her hip. "Want to spar?" she asked suddenly.

Kiba looked at Mae fast, then grinned and nodded. "Sure thing"

Mae chuckled softly. "Don't go easy on me just because I'm girl though." she told Kiba.

"I won't" Kiba grinned again.

"Good," Mae smirked and moved back slightly.

Kiba nodded toward a clearing. "Why don't we go where there's more space though..." he suggested, turning. As he turned, Akamaru bounced up into Kiba's hood and sat there happily.

Mae nodded and smiled. "Alright," she said as she put on her fighting gloves. "Should be fun."

Kiba smirked. "Yea, should be.."

Mae cracked her knuckles and took a deep breath. "You do remember what my specialty is right?"

"Heh... not really" Kiba admitted, looking at the ground.

Mae chuckled softly and grinned. "I guess you'll rediscover it then," she said smiling.

"Try at their hideout," Sasuke told Akemi.

Akemi raised an eyebrow. "Where is that??"

Sasuke shrugged and began walking off. "It wouldn't be called a hideout if everyone knew where it was." he said, "Besides you can use your tracking skills to track them down, Mae's sister went along with them."

Akemi growled to herself and turned. She stomped off in the other direction. She sighed and began wandering around aimlessly.

Kankuro smirked. "Aedin huh? Pretty..i guess."
"Come Kankuro." Gaara instructed. "We have much more to go see and observe."

Aedin blinked in surprise for a moment at Kankuro's comment before turning to Gaara, her curiousity getting the better of her, "Seeing and observing anything in particular?" She questioned.

"Fights..."Gaara stated. "He is amused by fights." Kankuro added.

"Ah," Aedin nodded in understanding, hooking her fingers behind her head, "It's fun when you've got the right opponent."

Kankuro's eyes widened slightly thinking Aedin was suggesting a fight with Gaara. "You may not want to antagonize him. All of his opponents have been killed or severely injured."

Aedin laughed, amused, "You misjudge me, I'm not such a petty opponent. And besides, 'antagonize' is such a... harsh word. Something that makes me feel that I was poking fun at him or something."

"...You talk alot..." Gaara said in a seemingly grumpy tone like he always had.

"Another of my wonderful quirks." Aedin replied with a shrug, "You talk very little you know, I guess for some the phrase 'silence is golden' really rings true..."

Gaara stared at Aedin with an uninterested look.
Kankuro laughed softly at the awkwardness. "Talk about opposites." He looked around. "I wonder where Temari went..."

Aedin frowned, "Guess he really doesn't have a sense of humor after all, huh?" She shook her head, "So, you really a good fighter?" She questioned at last, bored herself.

Gaara gave a small smirk to Aedin. "Do you not know of me?"

Aedin shrugged, "All I know is that you're a sand nin." She replied.

"And sons of the Kazekage! Gaara here will be the successor." Kankuro stated.

"Nice," Aedin gave them the thumbs up, then sighed, "My dad was the leader of my own village you know." She replied.

Gaara gave an unamused look.
Kankuro sighed. "Gaara, show a bit more appreciation."

"No, it's fine." Aedin shook her head, "Anyway, I must surely be holding you both back from something more exciting. I've got to get back to my duties." She made a face.

Kankuro looked around. Still no Temari he thought. "It would be nice to have a female presence. Temari is usually with us and she seems to have disappeared. Would you like to accompany us?"

Gaara looked at Kankuro curious as to why he would dare invite a woman from another land to stand by his noble side.

"Hmm... it sounds fun." Aedin conceded with hardly a second thought.

Great....another thing trailing with me.... Gaara thought with an invisible sigh.
"Good. Let's go." Kankuro nodded.

"Well, then, lead the way." Aedin replied.

A swirl of sand swirled around Gaara and in an instant he disappeared.
Kankuro grabbed Aedin's arm and a puff of smoke making both of the disappear. When they reappeared they were ontop of the Konoha Village entrance gate. Gaara was looking around throughout the village.

Aedin shielded her eyes from the sudden onslaught of sunlight, "And here I thought I was getting away from the village for a while. You guys looking for your Temari then?"

"Gaara wants to find something interesting. This is his daily ritual. If he finds nothing then we return to the Sand." Kankuro explain.

Gaara stood 'patrolling' with his arms crossed like usual. His sand gourde rested against his back.

"Hmm..." Aedin crossed her arms in thought, "I don't think you'll find anything very exciting in the village itself." She said at last, "There usually isn't anything," She tucked her legs beneath her, hovering about two feet above the entrance gate now, "Sometimes there are sparring matches on the training grounds, but that's about it."

Gaara sighed and puffed away again.

"Oh shit." Kankuro grabbed Aedin and puffed away with Gaara. All three reappeared in the sand village on the gate where many of the Jounin Sand guards were.

"A little warning would be nice next time..." Aedin grumbled, dragging herself to her feet, "How come we're here now?"

Kankuro shrugged. "Daily routine."
"Leave."Gaara grumbled to Kankuro.

"Doesn't sound like you're in a very good mood." Aedin commented to Gaara, "Upset you didn't find anything interesting?"

Gaara glanced the Aedin then looked away ignoring her comment.
"Gaara is always that way. We should go before he DOES get angry..." Kankuro suggested.

Aedin frowned, though, nearly a minute later, her face lit up and she slapped her fist against her open palm, "I got it!" She said exuberantly, "You like fighting, right? Then why not spar a bit?"

Gaara glanced at Aedin then turned to face her. "And you're willing to fight me?"

Kankuro's eyes widened. "Oh my....."

"Oh yes," Aedin grinned as she nodded, "I've been looking for a good challenge, and at the same time, I hate to see anybody sulking... So I'd be killing two birds with one stone!"

"Follow me..." Gaara puffed off again.
Kankuro sighed. "Are you sure you want to fight Gaara? He tends to really get into the battle and he has never lost let alone hurt."

"Oh yes, no worries." Aedin replied, "And besides, I don't care if I beat him or not. I'm sure a good fight'll at least make him happy." She grinned, "I just want to see how strong he really is. I'm having trouble finding worthy opponents of late."

Mae dropped back on her behind and looked at Kiba, breathing hard. "You're getting stronger that's for sure," she said and looked at Akamaru.

Kiba grinned and flopped down on the ground beside Mae. "Well, you're getting more tough also" he said, smiling at her.

Mae chuckled and dropped completely down onto her back. "I guess," she said smiled as she looked up at the sky. "I wish we could be on the same team...Then we could all train together daily."

Kiba nodded. "Would be easier" he answered.

Mae looked at Kiba slightly and smiled. "Yeah," she said quietly,"You know...I really like hanging out with you and Akamaru like this."

"Yea, it's great" Kiba answered grinning widely.

Mae sat up suddenly and giggled. "Hey isn't the grand sports festival coming up soon?" she asked suddenly.

Kiba thought a moment, then nodded. "Yea, you're right.. it is!"

Mae grinned. "Sweet," she said excitedly and smiled. "I hope your teams wins it this year. I'll be cheering you on."

Kiba was about to answer when a loud laugh sounded in the tree above him and Mae. He looked up just in time to see a petite girl jump from the tree and tackle him.

"GOTCHA!" the girl screamed loudly, pinning Kiba down.

Kiba growled and shoved the girl off him roughly. "Kana!!! Leave me alone!"

Mae blinked as she looked at Kana and then at Kiba. "Uh..."

Kana flopped backwards on the ground as she was shoved away from Kiba. She looked at Mae, then at Kiba again, winking. "That your girlfriend??" she asked, sounding like a child.

Kiba rolled his eyes and looked at Mae. "Ignore her"

Mae blinked some more and frowned as she looked at Kiba. "Who is she?" she asked a little curious.

"The twerp that follows me everywhere against my will" Kiba answered, rolling his eyes and picking Akamaru up.

Kana frowned. "I'm not a twerp! I only believe in learning from the best!" she exclaimed loudly.

Mae giggled softly. "She's got a point," she said smiling at Kiba. "You know, I'd be happy to have someone look up to me like that."

Kiba chuckled. "You want her?" he asked, laughing lightly.

Kana sighed and tackled Kiba to the ground once again. "Oh Kiba.. you're so stupid sometimes!" she laughed.

Mae watched and shook her head. "Ummm...."

Kana suddenly jumped up and grinned widely. "COME ON!!!! COME ON!! LETS SPAR KIBA!!" she yelled excitedly.

Kiba sat up and rolled his eyes. "no"

Mae looked at Kiba and laughed softly. "I'll spar with you guys if want."

"Then you go against her" Kiba frowned.

Mae stood up and looked at Kana, then at Kiba. "What clan is she from?" she asked suddenly.

Kiba shrugged. Before he could answer, Kana jumped forward, doing a strange happy pose. "HARUNO!" she exclaimed loudly.

Kiba nodded. "Sakura's sister..." he frowned slightly.

Mae looked Kana and chuckled softly. "Are you as good as your sister?" she asked and looked at Kiba slightly. "What's wrong Kiba?"

"Nothing" Kiba answered, watching Akamaru sniff boredly around the trunk of a nearby tree.

Kana grinned widely. "I'm BETTER!"

Mae smiled softly and looked at Akamaru. "What's he sniffing the tree for?"

Kiba shrugged, still watching Akamaru.

Akamaru, sensing everyone looking at him stopped and returned the stare, looking from Mae, to Kana, to Kiba, then back to Mae.

Mae blinked and then started to laugh suddenly.

Both Kiba and Kana looked at Mae fast. Kiba raised an eyebrow. "What's so funny?"

Mae looked at Kiba smirking. "Nothing."

"Riight" Kiba answered plainly as Akamaru suddenly bounced onto his lap.

Mae knelt in front of Kiba and looked at him smiling. "How about we all go get something to eat?"

Kiba nodded and stood, putting Akamaru in the front of his parka. "Yea, I'm famished" he grinned.

Kana nodded quickly. "Me too! Me too!!"

Mae chuckled softly. "Guess I had a good idea." she said as she stood.

Kiba smiled at Mae and nodded. "Yea, you did"

Mae grinned at Kiba. "What do you feel like eating then?" she asked.

Kiba shrugged. "Anthing"

Kana laughed. "FOOD!" she laughed hysterically at herself.

Mae looked at Kana slightly and shrugged. "Alright then," she said as she started her way back to the village. "Ramen it will be I guess."

Kiba shrugged also. "Sounds good to me!"

Kana nodded, walking along right beside Kiba, trying to act like him. "Yes, sounds good to me too"

Mae chuckled softly as she watched Kiba and Kana. "Tell me Kana, why do you follow Kiba around like that?"

Kankuro nodded. "Alright. Let's go before Gaara gets angry." He grabbed Aedin's hand and poofed to an open sand field. Gaara was standing waiting for the others to show up.

"Sorry for taking so long. Ready when you are." Aedin said.

Gaara held out his fist and in an instant a huge cloud of smoke headed for Aedin.

Kankuro quickly jumped out the way but his leg ended up getting hit by the bullet like sand. He dropped when he reached a high spot. He looked at his now torn leg from Gaara. Just a simple attack could do so much damage.

Aedin was a blur of grace, her movements saved her from the attack. "Wow, that was really good!" She couldn't help commenting, "Almost didn't manage to avoid that!" She lifted her fingers into the air, forming multiple hand seals, "Kaze no Yaiba (Blade of Wind)!" Suddenly the wind rushed towards Gaara, it's 'edge' an unbreakable, invisible blade.


Todd was watching at a safe distance so he wouldn't get caught in the battle.

Shadow walked up to Todd,"What's going on?"she said sleepily while rubbing her eyes.

Gaara growled and blocked the wind attack with his inpenetratable sand shield.

"Wow! That was really good." Aedin laughed, "Not many are able to stop that you know." She was having fun, more fun than she'd had in a while.

Todd looked at Shadow,"those two are battling."he pointed at Gaara and Aedin.

Shadow blinked,"Oh?So they are,cool."
