Kiba shook his head, smiling lightly. "Nothing"

Mae giggled and hugged Kiba tightly.

Kiba laughed lightly and returned the hug.

Naruto suddenly came running through. He bumped right into Kiba and Mae, knocking them over as he fell to the ground also.

Mae winced slightly and looked at Naruto. "What the heck!!?"

Kiba jumped up and glared at Naruto, pulling Mae up as he got up. "WHAT THE HELL NARUTO!!" he yelled angrily.

Naruto jumped up and glared at Kiba. "What are you doing just walking around?? Aren't you supposed to be training???" he yelled back.

Mae glared at Naruto and clenched her fists. "Naruto..."

Naruto looked at Mae and frowned. "What do you want?" he exclaimed in his obnoxiously loud voice.

"You better shut up now!" Mae yelled at Naruto.

Naruto growled. "Why should I??"

Kiba shoved Naruto's shoulder and smirked as he was knocked off balance.

Mae looked at Kiba and blinked before looking back at Naruto. "You two are gonna fight again aren't you?"

Kiba chuckled. "Me? Fight this loser?" he laughed. "Yea right"

Naruto jumped up, then tackled Kiba roughly to the ground.

Mae watched the two and sweatdropped. "Right..."

Kiba shoved Naruto off him and stood beside Mae.

Naruto jumped up and glared at Kiba, then growled and turned away angrily, stomping down the path as smoke seemed to come from his ears.

Mae chuckled softly and shook her head. "He's never going to change."

"He'll always be a twerp" Kiba nodded in agreement. He chuckled as Akamaru came bouncing happily over to them.

Mae knelt down and petted Akamaru. "Just like I doubt you'll change," she said looking up at Kiba slightly.

Kiba watched Mae. "Is that a good thing? Or a bad thing?"

Akamaru jumped into Mae's arms happily.

Mae giggled and huggled Akamaru lightly. "I'd say it's a good thing."

Kiba chuckled as Akamaru seemed to grin as he sat happily in Mae's arms. "I knew it" he stretched and put one hand behind his head.

Mae looked at Kiba and smirked. "If you did, then why ask?"

Kiba blinked, then grinned. "Just making sure you knew it"

Mae blinked and shrugged as she continued to pet Akamaru. "I bet Kana is wondering what's taking so long," she smiled.

Kiba shrugged. "Oh well... I'm glad to be rid of her for once!" he chuckled.

Mae chuckled and smiled. "Well what do you suggest we do now?"

Aedin landed gracefully upon his shoulder, "Lots of sand." She nodded in awe, shielding her eyes from the storm, "Nonetheless... Chakra Kyuuin no Jutsu." Her voice became a soft whisper as her hand glowed with blue flames. She forced her palm against Shukaku's shoulder, immediately feeling the pull of his chakra as it was drained. Wow! He sure has quite a bit of chakra. She thought to herself.

Shukaku growled and flung Aedin from his shoulder. "Now you have made me mad you little runt!" He growled even louder.

Aedin tucked and rolled as she fell, landing softly and leaping to her feet, she licked her dry lips and couldn't help but to grin up at Shukaku. Beneath her shirt something squirmed and she made a face as she smoothed the fabric out, allowing her tail to settle more comfortably against her torso.

Shukaku grinned down on the female before him. He stared her over evaluating ever spot to find the weakest.

Kankuro stared at Shukaku and Aedin. The worry for Aedin grew deeper but he wanted to see how far it would really go.

Aedin gazed back up at him calculatingly. As fantastic as this battle is... I know that it's got to end soon, or I'm going to run out of chakra... Which is weird. Aedin thought to herself, Never came up against anybody this tough before...

Todd was watching the battle,"She's quite good."

Shadow was standing next to Kankuro,"Yeah she is,but I think I might be just as tough."

Kankuro stared at the battle ignoring Todd and Shadow. He was truly prepared to jump in any moment.

"How about we call it a draw?" Aedin called, a playful grin splayed on her lips.

Shukaku laughed. "Draw?!" Shukaku laughed even harder. "There is no draw. It's a battle to the death."

"You have to hit Gaara awake!" Kankuro yelled to Aedin. He felt a quick shock of pain and dropped down.

"I never agreed to a battle to the death." Aedin said to Shukaku, "I don't kill uselessly." She then turned her attention to Hit him awake, "huh?" Aedin blinked, "Sounds like a plan I guess, sit tight!"

Shukaku, the huge monster that had taken over Gaara, laughed hysterically. "I would like to see you try getting to Gaara. He sleeps and I will never let you near him!"

"You can try and block me." Aedin winked, grinning as she caught sight of Gaara's slumbering form, she weaved her way towards him swiftly.

Shadow knelt next to Kankuro,"What's wrong?"

Kankuro coughed with some blood coming out. "Gaara is strong. And when Shukaku is fully released he is nearly undefeatable. With the slightest hit, he could kill you."

Shukaku laughed. He swung his tailed around and hit Aedin violently.

Aedin hit the ground hard, she tried to tuck herself into a roll to keep any injuries to a minimum. She hadn't been expecting him to get her with his tail and thought maybe she'd bruised a couple ribs as she dragged herself up from the ground, "Wow, that tail of yours is lethal!" She exclaimed, more in awe than anything. She brought her hands together, "I'll find a way to get by you yet!" And with that she produced multiple shadow clones that dashed off in different directions.

Shukaku tried following all of the shadow clones with his eyes. "You know you really are starting to PISS ME OFF!" Shukaku yelled swinging his tail around violently eliminating a few shadow clones as he desperately tried to hit the real one.

Aedin laughed, she'd have to do this quick or she wouldn't have enough chakra. Her remaining clones dove at Shukaku and she burrowed up beneath him. She leapt for Gaara, poised to strike.

(You do realize that Shukaku is gigantic and such a small attack if futile right?)

Shadow looked at Kankuro,"Where did he hit you?"

Kankuro coughed and held his stomach. "I'll be fine. Just make sure Aedin doesn't get hurt."

Shukaku roared and swatted away at Aedin. His hand made full contact with the real Aedin and swatted her away against one of the buildings. "You are an annoying little BUG!" Shukaku yelled.

Aedin scrabbled against the side of the wall as she hit it, feeling the bricks crack. Her fingers reached out and grasped at the window sill and slowly she managed to pull herself up into the room, panting as she wiped a smear of blood from the side of her head.

"Oooh, that smarts..." She muttered, glancing back out at Shukaku. She needed to find a way around him... to get to Gaara and wake him. Her shadow clones were still traipsing about the ground at his feet, they wouldn't be enough though, not to distract him properly. She sat in the window for a moment before hopping towards the ground, gliding slowly. Her tail twitched and fell from the cover of her shirt, but she ignored it.

Shukaku roared and spit out a giant ball of sand at all of the clones eliminating them at contact. "RODENTS!" He hollered and built up another ball of sand.

Aedin ducked out of the way and hid behind the building she'd just vacated to avoid the sand that was racing all around her, and to keep from being hit by the second that he was creating. What could she do? An idea formed in her mind and she gave a slight grin, even if it didn't work... She'd still be having fun, despite her dangerous situation. She didn't know what was so exilerating about the battle. Immediately Aedin made several hand signs, "Secret art: Full moon jutsu." She murmured. If she couldn't beat Shukaku as herself... She'd be pulling out the big guns. The sky darkened slowly.

"NANI?!(what?!)" Shukaku hollared.

Kankuro looked around as the sky darkened. "AEDIN! WHAT THE HELL?! GET OUT OF THERE NOW!"

"Don't worry." Aedin grinned as she slipped out from behind the building, "I know what I'm doing." Clouds roiled in the sky and began drifting apart, revealing the full moon. She felt the familiar pulse in her body and closed her eyes to allow the transformation to take hold.

Shukaku was staring at the moon and suddenly got aggrivated and knocked down random buildings around him.

Her skin tingled and stretched as she grew, and soon she was covered in dark fur. It wasn't long before she now stood only a few feet shorter than Shukaku, her crimson eyes gleaming in amusement, she always lost part of herself when she transformed, had a liking for destruction, but she forced herself to forget that for now.

Shukaku blinked. "When the hell did that happen?" A look of confusion crossed for only a moment then he let out a great laugh. "This is getting interesting..."

Kankuro's eyes widened vastly seeing Aedin.

"Come along then, make my day." Aedin grinned, revealing fangs, it was odd, her voice still being there, as soft and feminine as it had been. It seemed out of place with her current form.

Shukaku growled and swung hitting Aedin's now huge body.

Kankuro took the short moment of non-reflexes of Shukaku and jumped onto his head. He looked at his little brother then suddenly punched him. "STOP IT NOW!"

Aedin had only stumbled back a step or two from the hit, she was about to strike at Shukaku when Kankuro appeared in front of her. She fought back the urge to attack anyway and stood still, awaiting what would happen next.

Kankuro punched Gaara once more and suddenly he awoke sealing Shukaku away. The large body of Shukaku remained until Kankuro did a quick hand seal and made the form slowly vanish.

Gaara yelled at the pain of sealing away Shukaku again for many years.

With a few hand seals, Aedin dispelled the moon. As she began to recede back into her old form she formed a few more, vanishing. She reappeared in her small cottage on the outskirts of Konoha. She immediately pulled a robe over her nude form- her clothes having shredded when she'd transformed.

Shadow looked at Kankuro and she walked over to him,"I can heal you."

Kankuro coughed and looked at Shadow. "I'm fine. Nothing to worry about."

Gaara collapsed to the ground from the pain.
Kankuro picked up Gaara into his arms. His puppets on his back and Gaara in his arms made the pain worse but he bore through it.

Aedin collapsed on her bed in her room, energy completely spent. She closed her eyes and groaned before the darkness of unconsciousness claimed her.

"Let me help you."Shadow said trying to take Gaara from him,"You'll hurt yourself more."

Kankuro sighed. "I have him. Please. Just follow with me. I will need help when I get Gaara to the hospital."

Shadow nodded,"Ok,I will."

Kankuro vanished and showed up in the hospital. "Ok." He looked around trying to find a nurse who wasn't rushing around with patients hurt from Shukaku's blasts. He sighed. "Alright. Looks like i have to check him in myself."

Shadow appeared next to Kankuro,"I'll hold him while you sign him in."

Kankuro looked at Shadow. "Take him to a room. I have to find that girl." He vanished again back to where the battle had taken place. "Where would she go?"

Shadow took Gaara to an empty room and laid him gently on the bed.
