2005-03-16 [Aradon Templar]: Eh, never used it. Actually, I might have, but if I did, I didn't like it :P Far different from Terragen. Apart from being just practical, the Terragen interface is somewhat comical the first few times you use it, but very convenient to get what you want as well.

2005-03-18 [ArchangelGabriel]: A vector program works with coordiantes EG Make a line between 1,2 and 1,3 and make it pt3 thick. The alternative is Btiamp whcih makes lots of dots on a piece of paper. Vector images can be enlarged and shrunk with out loss of quality, where as a Bitmap (EG, .bmp, .jpg, .gif) do.

2005-03-18 [ArchangelGabriel]: Vector programms work by useing lots of coordinates and instructions. In some situations this can make it a smaller file.
2005-03-18 [Aradon Templar]: Terragen is definately not vector based. It is in fact very blocky. After it finishes making the picture, it tells you how long it took, and how many quadrilaterals it used :P
