Username: [
Tyr and Zao Hawk]
Name: Vincent D. Miliani
Gender: Male
Age: 23 years, 3 months, 8 days, 14 hours, 26 seconds… and counting…
Race: Human
Personality: Vincent is the only guy in the world who believes he doesn’t need to prove himself, and is actually correct in thinking so. The reason he’s correct being the immense, powerful aura that radiates through his stance, his words, and, especially, his eyes. Most people are either afraid of Vincent, or inspired by him, depending upon their own personality types.
Despite the generally overwhelming nature of this Italian youth, he’s actually rather kindly towards just about everyone. He sees no need to be cruel, unkind, harsh, or anything of the sort because there’s really not much point in doing so. Always willing to lend a hand, or even just a friendly compliment, people, even those only barely having met him, are often drawn to his bright nature. Even with such a genial personality though, he doesn’t make many friends, through his own choice. Why not? He’s far too overprotective
.
Originally it was thought that Vincent was simply overbearingly protective of his sister, who, as the only family he had left, was more precious to him than any rare gem or metal could ever be valued to equal. It was soon discovered though, by both himself, and a few select others, that this nature also stretched to those close friends whom he considered to be a part of his ‘family.’ Unfortunately, this led to a few particularly painful incidents which have all left their marks on Vincent’s heart, and one across his hand. Tied in with this is the extreme amount of painstaking concern that he feels nearly every moment for those few people he feels he needs to protect.
With all this, he’s also grown accustomed to not bothering with what other people think of him. Most people like him, his attitude, and how he treats them, so he sees no real reason to bother with those who don’t. “After all,” he’s been known to comment, “If I rewrote myself every time I had a critic who didn’t like me completely, then I’d never get published.”
Being generally agreeable in nature, Vincent is often considered to be an ‘older brother’ to any friend that he does make. Many look up to his bold personality, his charming attitude, and even consider his overprotective nature to be ‘cute.’ Though, admittedly, the latter are usually older women with young children, or even grandchildren.
Appearance: Tall, dark, and handsome. Not a single word in this group would accurately describe Vincent. For one, he’s not really tall. He’s only around 5’10” (which is approximately 178 cm to those of us not American.) and not exactly one to enhance his height, by any means. Vincent also isn’t ‘dark’ or ‘handsome.’ Sure, his skin is a bit more tanned than the average, but not nearly the same as most of his natural born Italian brethren. As for his overall looks, that’s a question up for debate on some smaller circles.
Vincent has oval eyes which are pale blue, like a fresh layer of pure ice, and strikingly golden white hair. Both of these features are particularly noticeable because they contrast with his tanned skin so obviously. His hair is short, it’s always spiked, and it gives the feeling that he could somehow manage to blast you away with a single wave of his hand. He can’t, but it certainly makes it seem that way. Almost always seen wearing a typical loose t-shirt and special ordered cloth pants from China, Vincent can seem like he dresses too casually for most people, but it works for him. All of this, combined with a relatively athletic physique and his personality often gives people an impression that lasts a lifetime.
What certainly isn’t debatable is how his appearance makes the viewer feel. People who see Vincent are never left guessing for his feelings on a subject, or even whether or not he’s telling the truth. “He’s just got this aura.” Most say after seeing him only once. “It’s hard to describe, but it’s definitely there.” The last, but certainly not the least, key aspect of his appearance is the crescent moon shaped scar on the palm of his right hand. The scar is always a deep purple, and he’s never tried to hide it, not even slightly.
Any special qualities? Besides leaving an incredible impression on people, Vincent is a capable handyman. He’s also almost unbearably good at puzzles of all sorts, shapes, and sizes and, if you’ll give him the current time and date, he can tell you exactly how old he is.
Wish: His only wish is for enough power to change the world, so that he won’t need to worry so much.
History: At an early age it was noticed that Vincent was not going to be a normal boy. When his hair really started to grow in, it appeared to be black, as per the normal, but the more it grew out, the more his parents, and the surrounding community, noticed that it was quickly turning white. Along with his hair color, his personality shifted from infantile curiosity, to a sudden assuredness in everything he had already learned. This was when his aura began to become apparent. Immediately, Vincent began to make more friends, seemed more confident, and, when he started school, was nearly always at the top of his class, simply for sheer effort. He had never been unpopular before this, but once he changed it was certainly noticeable how popular he became.
Up until the age of 5, Vincent continued this lifestyle, not thinking much of it and simply considering himself lucky. With the birth of his sister, his mindset and personality changed yet again. Now, he spent less time studying and with his friends, insisting that his younger sister needed him to be there for her. His friends considered him crazy for doing do, but he still insisted upon it. It would turn out to be a rather beneficial decision.
When Jen’s 4th birthday came around, it was a time of much celebration in the Miliani household, for Vincent especially. In a few months, his sister would be joining him at school, and his parents could relax a bit more during the day with more time to themselves on some days. Only a few days after, Mr. and Mrs. Miliani were killed in an accident when some young hoodlums found a Mafia gun and decided it would be ‘fun’ to fire it through the alleyway. Accident or not, it left Vincent and Jenna alone, and they’d have to learn how to survive on their own quickly, or not survive at all. Of course, as the oldest, he took charge of their welfare and quit school, going off to work for their living at the local carpentry shop, where he worked a delivery boy. Skilled and diligent, Vincent managed to work his way up through the ranks and pay raises in his job until now he’s become quite renowned as a carpenter. He still takes care of his younger sister, and still manages to make time for his friends whenever he doesn’t need to work, or be at home.
The scar on Vincent’s palm was given to him during an incident when he lost a good friend of his. It was an unfortunate parting, one that neither truly wanted, but which his friend’s parents found necessary in order to ‘protect’ their daughter from this ‘overbearing, nosey little brat.’ They were referring to Vincent’s habit of protecting those he considered family with all that he was, and thought it scary to have people like him near their little girl. So, the family packed up and moved away, all the way to America. However, before their departure, Vincent and the girl had a secret meeting where they promised each other they’d meet again somehow. In order to make this promise lasting, they each cut a deep, lasting mark into their palms. His was the moon, and hers the sun. With that, they parted ways, and have not seen each other since. Even so, Vincent keeps the mark alive and in his heart and mind, always.
Other: Vincent is addicted to cherries. Only those who have death wishes will taunt him with said juicy bit of fruit.
