Whispers of the Past

"I'm sorry," Enna frowned, her words genuine, "Is it... something to worry about that somebody who knows who you are has left a letter?"

"It could be... the only other person that I know, beside you, that knows me like this had been murdered on the day of his wedding, and I have been acting as a guardian to the one he loved...out of respect and because he had helped me by taking me from my old life...."Khan said.

"That is strange." Enna replied after a moment, "What can you do though? The only way to really know if it is a threat to you is to open the letter and find out what it is..."

Khan nodded, with a sigh, and then tore open an end of the envelop. He pulled out the letter, and read it.

She is not to be messed with. If you don't cut ties with her than you will die.

With worry, Khan showed Enna.

"How strange." Enna murmured with a frown.

"I agree....."

"I wonder... why it is that others are trying to separate us." Enna steepled her fingers and leaned back in her chair in thought.

"I do not know...."

"Why don't we find out?" She asked coolly, "A little investigation can go a long way. As far as I know neither of us has anything to fear from the other, so why does it matter to anybody else?"

Khan nodded. "Yes, let us investigate...."

"Here is my suggestion then: let us part ways for a short while today, see if perhaps we are once more approached... I believe that figuring out who is behind this situation of ours begins with that first step." Enna replied after a few minutes of contemplative silence.

"I'll agree to that...but I don't like it...." he said simply.

"We'll meet up here around sunset." Enna replied confidently, "If we don't figure something out beforehand." She grew silent as their food was brought to the table, she dug in hungrily.

"I will hope nothing happens..."

"I am sure we will be fine." Enna replied.

Khan nodded.

Enna finished her meal and drink and stood, tossing a few bills on the table, "That should cover breakfast. I'll see you tonight." She waved, heading outside.

"See you then too..."

Kain woke and looked around for the king

Kain started to walk through Calsax examining people as he went

Rasmus appeared in one of the alley ways, he used his magic to clean up and to make himself look normal. after which he walked out of the alley and began to look around sensing for his son.

It lead to a handsome young man that resembled he and his love. The young man was inspecting the town as he walked

"Son..." Rasmus whispered staring at the young man he couldn't believe his eyes seeing him that much older.

Kain halted and looked at him. Fear shown in his eyes and he quickly rushed away from him.

"no son!" he shouted and followed.

Kain ran faster and when Rasmus rounded the corner he saw the old king with his arms wrapped around him. Kain's face was buried in his chest. The old king smirked but his voice sounded protective. "What do you want with my love?"

Ryu relaxed looking relieved as he looked at Micheal. "Ok...I hate them too so that is alright. You are different from many other vampires...I was exiled due to sparing my prey..."

"I've lived a long time I must admit when I first was free to run the night on my own I was a monster I fed and killed many mortals for my own pleasure. But age has brought wisdom and sedateness to me" he said sitting there.

"I have a confession...I....but can I trust you..."He looked concerned not sure if he should proceed

"That is for you to decide Ryu, I do have to say though you are an interesting man and would I like to be friends." he said with a smirk.

"And if I were to tell you that I am not your average vampire?"

Micheal cocked an eyebrow "Do go on"

"I am the exiled prince of the vampires...not just one lineage...all...I am a direct descendant of Cain himself."

Micheal sat there staring at the other man, no one dare spoke the name of the blood father anymore it was taboo. "what do you mean direct descendant?" he asked carefully because their was more then one way to be a direct descendant in their world.

"He is my grandfather.My father and mother threw me out because I refused to kill needlessly, my twin was all too glad to kill and he seeks to kill me believing I am a failure as a descendant of Cain." Ryu said sadly

He couldn't taste the truth or lie in the other man, some of the older breed had that ability. "I must say I have always thought of a grander view of the Cain bloodline. Prove to me that you are who you say you are, I'm sorry but you don't live as long as I have with trusting people like nothing on things like this."

"What would you like me to do to prove this?" Ryu said, he didn't look insulted merely calm and ready

"They say the lineage of Cain has the ability to enter the mind and walk the memories of any vampire in existence" he said watching the other man carefully. he could speak to another in dreams and mind to mind but no vampire still alive could truly walk anther's memories anymore.

he sighed. "Are you giving me permission? it isn't the most comfortable thing down even when consent is given."

"I am giving you permission my shields will go down and you will have access" he said and then closed his eyes he pulled his metaphysical shields down and left himself open to Ryu to prove himself.

Ryu sat and stared at him soon he began to do as he was asked. Not only was he able to walk the memories they were resurfacing in Micheal's memory as well. The whole time Ryu spoke what he was seeing. There was a bit of pain but it wasn't extreme. "Do you need more or is this good?"

"Thats fine" Micheal grunted out as he pushed Ryu out of his mind and his mental barriers returned to their places.

Ryu watched him carefully. "Is that adequate?"

"Yes that is indeed adequate" he said regaining himself. "You really are apart of the lineage of Cain."

He nodded.

"It is truely an honor to be in your presence I must say" he said bowing his head.

"Please...I don't want to be treated any different."

"Of course" he leaned back in his chair. "What brings you here to Calsax?" he asked curiously.

"This is my most current place of living but my band and I have been traveling awhile. We came back to visit and I was attacked while I slept."

"Your band mates must be very worried about you" he said sitting there watching the other man.

"They are my family...yes. So I am still in Colsax?"

"Yes you are your just outside of it right now."

"I see. Thank you for telling me."

"No need to thank me" he said with a smile "now I'm guessing you need to be getting back to your friends soon" he said curiously.

"They will worry."

"Yes that is why I say you probably need to be getting back" he chuckled.

he nodded

"i can have one of my wolves give you a ride back into town if you would like" he said sitting there.

"I can walk...thank you for the offer. I hope no harm will come to you for helping me."

"Nonsense you will be driven back to Calsax it will be fine" he sensed that the sun was all the way down anyways. "I'll ride with you its alright."

"I don't want to inconvenience you..."

"You wouldnt inconvenience me at all." Micheal smiled at him.

"Are you sure?"

Vanyen smiled back at her.

William smiled happily

"What a family we are...." Isabel smiled.

Vanyan and William smiled

Isabel finished up her plate.

So did they

"I'll clean this up..."

"Want help?"

"Only if you wish..." she said, with a smile.

They helped

She smiled happily.

"Now what?"

"I don't know....Vanyan....why were you walking around the woods outside?"

"I like to visit this world from time to time...and darkness is coming."

"Darkness?"

"Evil...."

Isabel looked worried.

He nodded

"What can we do?" she asked.

"Prepare, gather the others."

"The other?"

"Their are others in Calsax who may be able to help."

She nodded.

"I am afraid I won't be able to help you in finding out who you can trust."

"I haven't trusted many over the years...."

"it's time you do."

Isabel looked down.

he gently hugged her

Lamya gave a little sigh in her sleep.

Matthew just held her, close, thinking.

Lamya yawned snuggling tighter against him in her sleep just wanting to feel his warmth. Lamya woke up softly still snuggled against him, he just felt so still in her arms. She felt like he really wasnt.

"Lamya...." he whispered.

she kept her face looking down snuggling against his chest her hair covered her face so he couldn't see she was awake.

"I...love...you....and will protect you always...."

Lamya didn't say anything as she laid there pretending she was asleep.

He kissed the top of her head.

She blushed feeling his hands pull her a little closer to him.

"Al...ways...."

Lamya couldnt help it she had to look up at him.

Zoran laid there for hours just holding her stroking her hair gently thinking about life, his brother the bastard old king. He had been around a long time and all of this suddenly comes up. He was so tired... He didnt realize it but he felt like he did when they first put him in his imprisonment that utter need for sleep.

"Z...." came Tainn's whispered voice.

Zoran grunted opening his eyes gently, "Mmmmm what?" he mumbled waking up in a haze.

"I love... you....." she was sleep talking.

Zoran smiled. "I love you to" he slid his arms around her as the sleep took him once more.

After what seemed like forever he heard something outside of his sleep like yelling someone worried trying to wake him up.

He snorted waking up to find Tainn ontop of him looking scared but suddenly he also felt his arms and legs bound to the bed by something unknown that it was vines like that of the tree of life from so long ago.

"Z....?" she whispered.

Zoran looked down at his arms suddenly seeing the vines fear filled him to the bone. "Tainn I am going to try to be really calm right now, Go to my closet and grab one of my swords" she could hear the fear in his voice as he laid there under her.

Tainn nodded slowly, and careful slide off him, heading for the closet to get one of his swords.

"Now Tainn I want you with all your strength to take the blade and slash at the vines next to my hands. You have to do this fast and hard in order to get through them quick enough to get me out because if you don't the vines will just heal themselves." he said to Tainn. "Its ok baby I love you and I know you'll be able to do this."

Tainn nodded, and lifted the sword above her head. She brought it down as hard as she could.

As soon as she was threw he yanked his arm up. "Look away Tainn" when she dd his nails shifted into dragon claws as his eyes shifted into that of a dragons as he freed his neck then his other arm as well. Sitting up he went at the vines that held his ankles then shifting his body back as he lept out of bed he pulled Tainn in his arms as he began to breath heavy with fear staring as the vines vanished in a shimmer of green magic.

"What....happened?" she whispered.

"Its the magic of the northlands, someone... someone was trying to put me back into the slumber" He was trembling, Zoran was actually trembling.

Tainn had tears in her eyes. "N...no..."

Zoran hugged her tight and kissed her as well. "I love you so much Tainn." he said holding her close. He was scared about if he let that happen again and if the spell got ahold of his Tainn, she was human. The power of the northlands magic from the tree of life, would kill her.

He felt power sweep through the room that strengthened them both

Tainn looked around confused. "Z...."

Hope looked at him in shock and slowly nodded

Lial hugged Leslie

Dyimund hugged Hope. "Thank you...."

"For what?"

"For agreeing...." he whispered.

She blushed and nodded

He kissed her.

Leslie blushed watching them.

Lial kissed him

He kissed back blushing.

"Love you."

"I love you Hope....I always have...."

She blushed. "I love you..."

He kissed her.

Leslie leaned against Lial.

He stroked his hair

"I will help care for all of you...." Dyimund said.

She hugged him

He held her, and smiled gently at Leslie and Lial

Leslie hugged onto Lial

"Lets all get some sleep."

Leslie nodded, looking at Lial.

Lial got up and gently helped Leslie up

"Night...sis..." he said, with a soft smile heading off with Lial.

"Night."

Leslie went off with Lial as Dymund hugged Hope.

Hope blushed deeply.

Dymund kissed her.

She kissed back

"Thank you..."

She blushed and nodded

Dymund kissed Hope.

She blushed and hesitantly kissed back

Lial laid down next to Leslie. "Sleep well."

Leslie nodded. "Night...." he whispered.

He stroked his hair

Leslie fell to sleep.

he held him close closing his eyes

Leslie snuggled into him.

They fell asleep. Leslie dreamed Lial was killed

"I won't hurt you." Dagda said to Sage who hugged Seit tightly.

Seit just held Sage.

Tsura looked at Sage kindly. "We won't hurt you...."

"Ok..."

"What do you know of what's after her..." Seit asked Dagda.

Sage stiffened

Dagda looked to her. "That is for Sage to tell you."

Seit looked at Sage. "She can tell me when she wishes...."

He nodded. "I am just saying Sage needs protecting. They are getting closer to finding Sage...."

Sage looked scared

"What? The ones that hurt her....?"

"the demons....and fae.....?" Sage whispered.

"Yes...I am sorry."

Seit held Sage close.

Sage buried his face in his chest

Tsura looked worried.

Seit stroked Sage's hair gently.

He closed his eyes

"I will protect her...." Seit said softly.

Dagda nodded

Tsura took Dagda's hand.

He gently hugged Tsura

"What more can I do for you Dagda....?" Seit said, holding Sage.

"I believe that is all for now...unless there was something you wanted to ask him Tsura?"

"I..." Tsura shook her head. "I don't think so...Seit you have beautiful paintings...."

"Thank you..."

Dagda smiled.

Tsura hugged Dagda's arm, and Seit hugged Sage around the waist.

Dagda smiled at Tsura. "Ready to go explore more?"

sage blushed and looked up at Seit.

Tsura nodded.

Seit kissed Sage's forehead.

Sage blushed and then Sage's eyes widened as light began to resonate from Sage's forhead and power swept through all of them making them feel stronger

"Wha..." said Seit in shock.

Tsura's eyes went wide.

Dagda smiled.

Sage stumbled feeling exhausted as Sage's knees buckled

Seit quickly moved, catching Sage.

"S...sorry..."

Sol looked horrified. "H...how?"

"I am a dream walker...." Rueara said softly.

"I'm not dead...am I?"

"You are with me in the dream realm..."

"Oh...but why?"

"So that I could show you...his dreams...."

He stopped shaking his head

"Why?"

"I am afraid..."

Ruaera held out her hand to him. "Please....trust me...."

he took it

She walked with him into a long hall of doors. "The hall of Dreams..." she explained.

he looked uneasy

"You are safe here..."

he nodded

She lead him up to a door with the name plate: Matthew.

He shook a little

"Go ahead...." she said gently.

He shook his head

"Why?"

"I...am scared...."

"He's scared too...."

he hesitantly opened the door

He saw himself holding Matthew, kissing his neck. He also saw Matthew holding Lamya, leaning back against his chest sighing from the kisses, and kissing Lamya's own neck.

He blushed deeply not sure what to do

The dream Matthew looked towards the dream Sol with love in his eyes.

He looked away feeling pained. "He loves another."

Valash kissed her

Nadya kissed back.

He lead her to his home in the village. It was a cozy cottage

"It's so...pretty..." Nadya said looking around at it.

"Thank you."

It didnt take long for his hound to lead Rainier to the cottage in town.

Nadya held onto Valash's arm.

Valash gently pushed her inside taking out a weapon.

Rainier felt the tension so he stopped a little bit from the cottage, his hound sitting next to him obediently. "Nadya! Its Rainier, Your mother sent me to find you!" he shouted to her.

Nadya stuck her head out of the cottage, Rainier didn't see a child, but saw a young woman version of Nadya looking at him. "Mother?"

Valash slowly lowered the weapon

Rainier was surprised at this but didn't question it he knew it was Nadya. "Yes your mother sent me to find you she's very worried about you."

"I...I don't want her....to vanish....like all of the others that have come near me....." she whispered.

"I tried to tell her it isn't her fault, but she won't listen."

Nadya came out and took Valash's hand.

He gently hugged her

"that doesn't make it right to suddenly leave her after so long of her not having her daughter Nadya, she misses you and she's so worried about you

Valash looked at Nadya

"But....all of the people...that have disappeared after meeting me..." she whispered.

"I am sorry to hear that you feel that way Nadya, your mother loves you so much, she will have her heart broken knowing that you do not wish to see her again" He turned "I will leave you and your lover, you do not have to see me or your mother again" he said and with his hound at his side headed off down the road.

"It's not that she doesn't want to see her again...she is afraid to."

Nadya nodded, hugging herself.

"Life is a journey that sometimes brings you fear as one of its obstacles, until your able to face those obstacles you will not be able to move forward in life. If you really feel that way Miss Nadya I will leave and tell your mother your alright" He turned and headed off down the street with his hound by his side.

"I think you should at least explain the situation to her...I will be with you if you need my support." Valash said

Nadya nodded. "Please...."

Power swept through them and she felt comforted. Somehow she knew she wasn't responsible

Nadya looked around confused. "Valash?"

"Wh...what was that?"

"I... I don't know...." Nadya whispered.

He looked confused.

Rasmus threw up his mental shields.

Nemesis looked worried, holding the children.

Rasmus stood with them. "Go back to bed I'll stay up with the children" he said lovingly.

"I can't....my baby...our baby...."

Rasmus hugged her tight he knew that they wouldn't get their baby back any time soon.

Nemesis leaned into his arms, cradling their children. "Please....let him come back to us....gods...." she whispered.

Rasmus felt so broken inside that this had all happened.

Nemesis fell alseep against him.

He took their children and put them in their cribs and gently laid her on their bed. He pulled the cribs next to the bed. For the rest of the night he sat there watching the children and his wife sleep.

"Ras....mus...." whispered Nemesis.

Rasmus turned and gently began to caress her hair.

"Love....you...."

They felt their son was in the town

"My baby..."

Rasmus was torn he didn't want to put her and the children at risk. He threw up a web of protection around the room to protect his lover and his children. he put all of his soul into the web to protect them.

They still felt he was in Calsax

"He's in the city...the town....Ras...mus..." she whispered.

"I'll go to him stay safe my darling" he stroked her hair lovingly and vanished. ((I have an area with him go up))

Elda hurried to find some of the others

Seanna cried out in pleasure as she climaxed

Rainier cried out as well as he climaxed with her, he fed off of the sexual energy that hummed in the air. He panted as he finished and laid down flat on his back under her looking up at her. "Hell's gates woman that was... wow" he felt so amazing he could just sleep from the satisfaction and pleasure his body was in.

She laid down on his chest. "H...heaven..."She panted.

"I haven't been this satisfied and full for a long time" he panted happily laying there.

She smiled tiredly

"I would say lets rest but we should get going." he said looking down at her.

"Ok." She said setting up slowly and stretching

He purred happily and playfully nuzzled the curve of her neck.

She smiled and kissed him. "I love you."

"I love you to my darling" he said sweetly.

She smiled. "I suppose we have to reemerge."

"Yes we should" he said climbing up off the bed, he began to gather and pull his clothes on.

She did the same

When they were dressed he took her hand and lead her upstairs. He heard what was going on in the sitting room. "Shhh lets not disturb Tala and her guests" he said leaded Seanna to go get his brother Whisper.

Elda looked panicked when they got there. "Nadya...she is gone."

"The little one, oh my this is not good" Rainier said worriedly.

Seanna looked worried

"Stay here my love I will return" he picked up a blanket Nadya had been using the night before and headed outside. He knew of a spell that would be able to track Nadya.

He got her location

He summoned a shadow hound to his aid as his tracker. The hound was sleek and regal like a mixture between a great dane and some ancient hunting hound. He made a leash form just for show if he passed any humans and with that he and the hound headed off.

((head up to Valash and Nadya))

Sylvanos lead them to the setting room.

Raya looked worried sick

"Now Raya tell me everything that happened" Tala said going over hugging her gently.

"We...went out...and when we got back the other members were knocked out and Ryu was gone...there was the sign of struggle...I...think it was his twin...he found us...he wants him dead!"

"Heavens no this is awful" Tala said letting Raya cry in her arms.

"Is there a way you can help?"

"Do you have something of his on you?" she asked looking down at Raya.

Aeliat just stood there not knowing what to do.

Tala then noticed Aeliat and realized how similar he looked to whisper and Rainier, Another brother of Rainier's? she thought to herself as she looked back at Raya about the item.

She took out a necklace. "This is his."

Aeliat waited to see what Tala could do.

Tala took the necklace and stood going over to a wooden box on the shelf, she pulled out candles and a piece of chalk, she went to the middle of the room pulling her rug back from the wood floor. after words she placed the candles around her and began to draw markings on the floor.

Raya watched

She sat in the middle of the floor on her knees holding the necklace in her hand after she finished setting up. She took a deep breath and let it out then began to hum softly as she hummed magic seemed to form in the marking around her. The flames flickered as her power grew as she continued to humm and focus.

Aeliat took Raya's hand as they watched Tala.

She hugged him

Tala reached out across Calsax to try and sense him.

She was able to locate him

"He's near by, he's right outside of calsax"

"Raya...." Aeliat said softly.

"Can you tell if he is safe?"

"Ah yes I do not feel any negative energy that would give off if he were wounded or something was wrong, He's with a group of vampires and even some werewolves, one of the vampires feels like they are very very old."

Raya bit her lip. "Can you tell if he is in danger?"

Aeliat squeezed her hand.

She opened her eyes which glowed like two balls of blue fire as she gazed ahead at nothing sensing out there. "He is safe it feels like, I sense he is actually very relaxed at the moment."

She looked confused at that. "But...he was kidnapped...."

"Are you sure?" Aeliat asked Tala.

"Yes, I am he is absolutely relaxed at the moment" she said sensing it all.

Raya looked confused

"Why though?" Aeliat voiced for himself and Raya.

"I'm really not sure to tell you the truth, the place he is at he is sitting with a very old vampire."

"But not as old as he is." Sylvanos stated. "Your friend is one of the few ancients...which means if he was overcome earlier it must have been by another ancient."

"His twin...."Raya whispered.

Aeliat looked to Raya worried.

Tala pulled herself slowly from the spell. She swayed a little bit sitting there feeling a little dizzy afterwords.

Aeliat looked at Tala. "Miss...are you...okay?"

Raya looked concerned and then power rushed through the room strengthening her. It felt ancient and of the earth

Aeliat looked over at Raya. "What wrong?"

"I...don't know..."

Enna sighed as fresh morning air cleared her thoughts, she had no idea where to begin, but walked towards the treeline, figuring for a short while she'd wander and enjoy the sites... And then get to work.

She was silent as she moved through the trees, going over her notes in her mind, there were a few locations to check out in the woods she knew, she'd more than likely stumble over them on her walk.

*snap*

Enna paused, crouching down as she glanced around for the source of the noise.

You really should stay away from him

"Why does it matter to you?" Enna asked aloud, indignantly, "So far all we've gotten were a couple of warnings and mysterious tapes that just seem to vanish... That isn't proof."

He claoked figure appeared in front of her. "You will die if you don't stay away from him."

"And how do you know this?" Enna replied, crossing her arms.

"I will see to it."

"Ha!" Enna laughed dryly, "That doesn't give me a reason to stay away from Khan, that is only a threat to my own self from your hand."

"You are foolish. You two don't realize what you are doing."

"I'm fairly certain it won't take long to figure out what I'm doing." Enna countered.

"You can die trying."

"You might as well give up trying to sway me." Enna replied.

"You are a fool."

"I'm no fool."
