2005-05-12 [iippo]: And they assume that the something will come up, but if there's nothing to talk about in the first place, then how can the phonecall develop? That's why I appreciate my family: when they call, they always have at least two things to tell me, and then I can relax and tell them something I remember while lstening to them telling something... I'm bad on the phone. But then agai, I'm not that good at talking face to face... I get disctracted by the face.
2005-05-12 [ally]: *chuckles* I use mreh a lot, I now said 'mreh' to myself because I surprized myself by rediscovering this page (and it also expresses my self-disgust for almost forgetting it). Eew are you sure it's him? Why don't you appreciate him? Is there something wrong with him or is it just the whole situation that bothers you? One does never have enough admirers :p (unless they're really creepy) *recognizes the awkward silence on the phone-thing* I never call anyone unless it's important or it's a very talkative person (then I just listen and say 'yes' and 'no' and stuff like 'no kidding' and I've got to be alone in the room when someone calls me I can't stand other people listening to it
2005-05-12 [windowframe]: When you've got a partner, whom you lobe muchos, I can understand it being uncomfortable when another guy shows too much interest in you - especially whent he sentiment isn't returned.
2005-05-12 [ally]: Talking about the weather is kinda boring huh? Say whatever pops into your head.. hmm I don't know how people can find subjects to talk about so often. I can talk face to face but not in group O.o
2005-05-12 [windowframe]: Who was talking about the weather? :\
2005-05-13 [ally]: I thought it was an expression: you know when people have nothing interesting to say they start talking about the weather. Well atleast here they do...sometimes
2005-05-14 [windowframe]: Humm... English people supposedly talk about the weather all the time, but that's urban myth :P BUt we don't use it as a phrase, because we (apparently) talk about the weather anyway - not when we have nothing to say, but just because we're English, and therefore *must* talk about the weather =D
2005-05-14 [ally]: haha I see. It's inherent to the people :p. I never thought English weather was so interesting, since it's aways raining overthere :p *loves clichés* Do you know that lame joke about the American who has visited England and when they ask him, back home, what he thought of the country he replies: very nice, but they should put a roof over it ? (this is what I call "telling the joke by asking for it" :p
2005-05-14 [windowframe]: Heh :P We don't actually talk about the weather much at all, just say 'typical' when it rains, and then get the hell over it. But it's become the stereotype that we always talk about the weather.
2005-05-14 [ally]: Anyway: I now see what went wrong here: I replied to iippo's post before I saw yours (actually now is the first time that i see it: must be something wrong with the wiki-thing, I 've had it many times before that my postings suddenly dis- and reappeared)
2005-05-14 [ally]: Don't bother: we do the same here. Actually we do talk a lot about the weather: to fill up awkward silences; it goes something like this: "crreek crreek" (you know: cricket-sound:
2005-05-15 [windowframe]: *nods* wiki can be weird like that, both edits and comments dissapear and reappear at will - on one page the last wiki link refused to work for months, all the others did on the page, and there was nothing wrong w/ the link, no !uQt! tag hidden or anything, no broken html, it just wouldn't work - until I posted a comment saying I was going to report it, then it magically fixed itself ¬_¬
2005-05-15 [ally]: I know, it's evil. Thank you for the tip: I shall now start threatening the damn thing if it doesn't work =)
2005-05-16 [iippo]: *lurves silvie's last comment* shows that the wiki is not dependable on hedda nor any mind utside of Elftown - it has a mind of its own, and it doesn't want that mind to be shown to the dictators of ET - only us small people.
2005-05-19 [ally]: mruph *doesn't like that own mind if ET gets stuck every 5 moments*.
2005-05-22 [iippo]: How long is a moment?
2005-05-22 [ally]: depends... varies from one second to two minutes
2005-05-24 [ally]: Gesundheit *hands over tissue* You can keep that. :p
2005-05-24 [iippo]: *keeps that*
2005-05-24 [ally]: I shall have to buy new ones now (my sis keeps eating them)
