2008-09-04 [Mordigen]: Ah, Gotcha :)
I'll try helping out finding new dates when I can -- but the list is so long now I feel cautious to try to update it myself becase I dont use the table tags often, so obviously not that familiar with it and wouldn't want to screw it up and just cause more for you or someone else to clean up.
But I will try to search some dates to help out, and what I can either list them here to be updated or message them to you -- either one you prefer.

2008-09-09 [Hedda]: OK, now I've done so much as I think is useful. Some things are closed down, some don't have a date yet and I skipped the Renaissance Festivals. I have to add more info in March or so.

2008-09-10 [Rat Hacker]: Tekkoshocon, for location should probably really say "check website" Since well it's changed so many times. I can chan ce it for you.

2008-09-10 [Hedda]: Well, as long as the location say something about which area it is in, then it's good. People should and will look at the web-site before actually deciding to go there anyway.

2008-09-10 [Rat Hacker]: Yeah you do have a point there. Sorry...

2008-09-11 [Mordigen]: Sorry I haven't been too big of a help - I've been busier than I thought :(

2008-09-12 [Hedda]: I added and made an updated version of Anime Boston.

2008-11-25 Cowboy Django: Wow I figured the Texas Renaissance Festival would be on here. I guess its technically not a convention but I dont know of any other conventions where you can buy hand made leather armor and drink meade!

2008-11-25 [Hedda]: I skipped the Renaissance Festivals as they where so many and no one cared enough to make a list of them.

2009-01-28 [Daisy_Sandybanks]: In connection with Comic Con in San Diego, California, there is also Wonder Con in San Francisco, California that happens earlier in the year (coming up soon, in fact: Feb 27th - March 1st).
I didn't see it listed, so here's the website: http://www.comic-con.org/wc/

2009-02-18 [Mortified Penguin]: Someone put ImagiCon up there...

2009-04-11 [Alexi Ice]: So no Renaissance Fairs? Cuz' there is one going down in Oklahoma soon

2009-05-15 [Rondel]: Recent/recurring comic (and often SF/fantasy as well) conventions include:

http://www.webcomicsweekend.com/
http://noncon.vassar.edu/
http://www.webcomicsweekend.com/ -- Webcomics Weekend
http://noncon.vassar.edu/ -- No Such Convention (NonCon) is a gaming, sci-fi, fantasy, and anime convention held by Vassar College's No Such Organization.
http://sophia.smith.edu/conbust/ -- ConBust
http://emeraldcitycomiccon.com/ -- Emerald City Comic Con
http://www.torontocomics.com/tcaf/ -- Toronto Comic Arts Festival

(you can thank my webcomics habit for these -- I took some time to catch up on the archives of one of my favourites last night...)

2009-05-20 [justjoe]: Just added one, almost too late to attend. It is a Ren Faire, not a convention, but the same people attend. One weekend left. http://www.scarboroughrenfest.com/

2009-06-02 [Rondel]: This weekend, comic-related annual convention -- MoCCA -- http://www.moccany.org/artfest09-main.html
"The Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art is proud to announce MoCCA Festival 2009 will be held June 6th & 7th at the 69th Regiment Armory at Lexington Avenue and 25th Street in New York City. As the 69th Regiment Armory is a much larger venue, nearly 100 more exhibitors will be attending, and arranged in a more democratic manner than in previous years. The festival will be open to the public from 11:00am to 6:00pm both days. General admission is $10/day or $15/weekend but is only $10/weekend for MoCCA members."
"The MoCCA Festival, held each June since 2002, offers a unique venue to see and purchase comics, mini-comics, web comics, graphic novels, animation, posters, prints, original artwork, and much more. Thousands of people who love cartoons and comics -- from hardcore collectors and enthusiasts to the merely curious -- come to the Festival each summer to meet, talk to, and purchase works from some of today’s best cartoon and comics artists, writers, editors, and publishers.
Each year, the Festival also invites dozens of well-respected creators, scholars, and other experts to participate in a two-day slate of lecture/discussion panels on a wide range of comics and cartoon topics. Scheduled to appear are John Green, Tom Hart, Charles Hatfield on Jack Kirby, Al Jaffee, Arnold Roth, Tom Kaczynski, David Mazzuchelli, Dave Roman, Frank Santoro in Conversation with Gary Panter, Seth, Raina Telgemeier, Adrian Tomine, Marion Vitus, and more. Guests and scheduling are subject to change."

2009-06-03 [Sheepy]: I considered Mocca.. had it on the cal and everything! Alas, too much work :(

2009-07-09 [Silver Moon]: I am heading to Gen Con I don't know the exact date but it is next month, should I still put it up?

2009-07-09 [Hedda]: You should find out the exact info, of course.

2009-07-09 [Viking]: [Silver Moon], if you mean the Gen Con in Indy, it's already listed here (but it doesn't have a wiki, so go ahead and create one if you want).

2009-07-10 [Silver Moon]: that was the one thank you, what exactly does a wiki need to entail?

2009-08-10 [LIL_ELF_GURL14]: how come nothing goes down in Canada..
is Canada like the outkast of
renaissance fairs or something :P
