But yeah It's just a curiosity on how to become a patroller, not a request to join... though it would be interesting.

2004-02-12 [teptep]: anywho, this job is not just about reporting people though, it is to help others relize there mistakes, if they do and don't do anythin about it and intend on giving you a hard time then you report them I usualy just refure the uploading art rules to them tell them there picture violates those rules wich mostly when I see it they do, then tell them it has to be taken down. if smart ass comment insues from them I report. simple as that.

And if it's something obscure, it'd be nice if you could tell us what the image is from so we don't have to stare at it and go "Wha? I see nothing wrong with this image. What crack is she/he smoking?" ^_^

I find so many breaking the rules and some that I suspect, it is so easy to think someone is stealing and lieing about it, you probably won't catch them all.

I found a girl who was posting pics from RPG World!, a webcomic I'm a huge fan of and when I sent her a message saying "Those are drawn and Signed by Ian J and you have no right to take them" and she just replied "PEople around here call me Ian and they are mine so please don't talk to me". I mean... GAH how dumb can you get when stealing somebody elses art that's published on something as popular as KeenSpace and leave the artists name on it. So I reported her. And all was good.

2004-02-13 [teptep]: well I like giving people a chance, I have just been so busy with real life I have been very moody and judgemental, I have seen so many kids taking proffesionals work trying to claim it's theres that when I come across someone whom sapposidly drew it I think, thats impossible and the funny thing is that they don't add a name to the art there are no links, and no title of the peace so there is no way of knowing if they really did it the perfect crime thats the way I think, so if someone is stealing work and know they have a great chance on not being cought they can be as cocky as they want, I try dealing with member directly to see if they are gonna say ok and take it down most kids will

We're not forcing our members to prove that they drew anything. Only in times when someone knows that that image isn't theirs (ie, they've seen the artist's gallery elsewhere, or have seen that image elsewhere with another name, etc...).

Even after you ask them nicely if it is theirs, and if not to take down. They not only message you badly, but post rude comments on their house page.

2004-03-13 [Calico Tiger]: Quiz results aren't generally allowed. There is one that was made for Elftown by an Elftowner ([cyanfire]'s quiz) and that's alright. Also, if it's just a word that says ANGRY and a little text next to it, that's fine. It's not really an image. It's just a word. But 90% of the images used in the quiz images are used witout the artist's permission. Those stupid dolls from dollmakers are alright. Video game screenshots are not alright. Photos of places and things that weren't taken by them (or even their parents, etc...) are also generally stolen (even photos are copyrighted). If you ever have any specific questions, just ask ^_^
