Here's more of his writing.
I'm very proud of Tommy's progress. He did this during the sermon at church this morning.
Yesterday was exhausting.
First, I took the kids to their weekly story/play group at the library. That turned out to be a Valentine's party, with cookies, juice, and goodie bags full of candy. They had a really good time, and made a cute Valentine craft.
Then we met our pastor for lunch at McDonald's. Several other folks from church were there, so it was like a little party. Some of the kids' friends showed up, too, so they all played together in the playplace while we grownups visited.
From there, we went to Tommy's therapy appointment. That went pretty well, though he didn't get to play in her sandbox because he hadn't kept up his end of their bargain during the week since his last appointment. That upset him.
After that, we went to my doctor, so I could get antibiotics for this flu I've been fighting. That was fine, except I hate the smell of the waiting room there. I went out on their porch to wait in the fresh air, directly under the NO SMOKING sign, but then three people came along and lit up right there. The porch is enclosed on three sides, and has a roof, so the smoke just sat there, and triggered my asthma. I was disgusted with the whole thing. I did get the antibiotics, though.
Then we went to Walmart to fill my prescription. There was a 45 minute wait at the pharmacy, so we went to the snack bar. The kids wanted cotton candy and lemonade, and I wanted a hot, salty pretzel with cheese sause, and lemonade. The kids ate aboiut half of my pretzel, so I went back to get another one for me, and one to split between the kids.
We finally got home about 6. The kids had the leftovers of their Happy Meals for supper, by their choice, and had some of the candy from their party bags.
It was a good day, over all, but exhausting.
We're just at home today, but I need to get more stuff packed for our move in a little while.
Okay, I've been surfing random members in Elftown, since I don't know how else to meet people here. Are there ANY other ADULTS in Elftown??? I'm feeling a bit outnumbered.
It's another day. I've spent most of the morning packing for the move that should happen this afternoon or tomorrow (depending on how late we get the key to the new place). I hate packing.
I finished another dragon last night, and made a good start on yet another one. If Elfwood stays down much longer, I'm going to have a full ticket to put in the queue when it comes back up.
We're still fighting the flu. I don't feel like death warmed over anymore, but I don't feel well, either.
This is my first day in Elftown. I suppose my diary needs an entry.
Real life is really busy right now. I'm supposed to be moving this week. We're just waiting for the house to be ready so we can move in.
I homeschool my two sons, and today's special project was making Valentines for them to give to their Sunday School teachers this weekend.
I started another dragon this morning, as I do nearly every day lately. I don't know exactly what this one will be yet, except that it's another one with only vestigal wings. I think this one will be friendlier than the last few.
That's it for now. I'll try to remember to update here often.
