I am fourteen
Stuck in the middle
Obedient yet free
What do they expect from me?
I have to work and do things on my own
I feel I'm loosing grip of the one's I love
They always argue
They always complain
I don't have opinions?
Is life just a game?
Mom and dad used to spoil me a lot
Until my baby sister was born
Years far off
I felt neglected
I didn't understand
Why does she get attention?
What, am I too bland?
Crying and wining, that's all babies' do
But now I know they need the attention from you
Now in my life
The attention is scarce
Wish I could go back
Go back in reverse
Back to a time
When I felt love everywhere
Instead of neglect
And worries that they don't care

I'm fourteen and crying for my lost loves
My parents are yelling and shouting about
And I wonder, 'why is this happening?'
We used to be happy
We used to have fun
Is it me that's changing?
Or is it everyone
I sit in my room
As I ponder these thoughts
Am I awake or am I sleeping
Is this all just a dream
This beautiful scheme
This game, its name
It's known as life.

You know you live in 2005 when:

1) You accidentally enter your password on a microwave

2) You haven't played solitaire with real cards in years

3) The real reason for not staying in touch with your friends is because they don't have a myspace/email address

4) You'd rather look all over the house for the remote instead of just pushing to button on the TV.

6) Your boss doesnt even have the ability to do your job.

7) You read this list and keep nodding and smiling

8) As you read this list, you think about sending it to all your
friends

9) And ... you were to busy too notice number 5.

10) You actually scrolled back up to check that there was no 5

11) And now you're laughing at your stupidity

12) Repost if you fell for it. You know you did!
