Finally, here, the explanations for those cryptic last diary notes (no, not the albums nor the Dilbert ones).

As some of you know my stepfather (Dante) has been with some serious health issues for over a year and a half now. Some kind of cancer and I won't bore you with details for two reasons: one is that I really don't know a good part of the details since they are all very technical; also, there are words I don't know in English and I don't see the point of going into details so I don't see the point of looking for them in a dictionary. It's enough to say that it's located in the colon and the liver. It's pretty much under control, but it can't be operated at the time (essentially, because the liver can't be operated and if the colon was it would be taken again, because the liver would still be infected). Reality it's that it has been kinda hard for everyone. And his physical condition is far from good.
A month or so ago my mother got in touch with a doctor who suffers a very similar problem to Dante's. He's currently using an experimental drug with some good results, at least in the physical aspect (ergo, he may not be getting better from the disease but he feels a lot better, being able to live almost normally).
This drug, though, is only given in Cuba (it is given for free in three different institutes of the isle in 3 months rations) since that's where the experimentation is taking place. As you may be aware, Cuba has one of the top world medicine investigative programms and it's one of the leaders (if not the most important) in cancer research (and they are communist and evil! :O).
So, essentially, we made the contacts and the cubans accepted Dante as patient (which means that they agreed to give us the medicine). Since he can't go there, I was about to travel there to get some of it. It was going to be one morning for visiting the medical center and then I was going to stay a couple days more just to know the place (which should be pretty interesting).
But the person who told about the medicine called us last Saturday and said that he was going to go there to get it and that he would bring it to us. They have organized a pool (if that's the word) with other patiens and one flies every 3 months and brings the thing for everybody. So I'm on the list now and will probably go there at some point.
As I said in my original diary entry, it wasn't a pleasure trip, but it would have been interesting nevertheless.

Once again, and after some time, albums for you to download.

As requested by Lami and later also by Viking, some Manic Street Preachers (I will also upload "Lifeblood" as soon as I can find it. I have only the box right now. I really need to put some order to my cds).
http://rapidshare.com/files/90546151/Manic_Street_Preachers_-_Know_Your_Enemy.rar

I may have uploaded this before, but... My favorite band from Sweden (I don't know a lot of them, I admit). This album is amazing, with really cool songs about thigns as different as oversleeping, chicken pox or a treehouse. You really should try it.
http://rapidshare.com/files/90542446/I_m_From_Barcelona_-_Let_Me_Introduce_My_Friends___2006_.rar

Finally the newest Pearl Jam album. I could have uploaded Ten, but it would have been kinda obvious.

I accept requests. I owe a couple Foo Fighters and Kaiser Chief album to ally and I may owe something else to somebody else. Please remind me what it is.

And with a phone call things change.
Once again, for the moment, I won't be travelling anywhere. It's been, at least, postponed for a few months. A pity, because I wanted to know the place, but at the same time it's a good thing because my family won't have to expend the money and still will get the results. You can still guess, if you want, but from what I see there wasn't much people interested in playing. Tsk tsk, people, you are boring.

I have a little game for you, you and both of you. You in particular have no chance to win though, but are welcome to try anyway.

There's a 70% chance (more or less, no scientific method behind this number) that, after all, I'll visit a foreign country this year. Even more, it could happen in 3 weeks or so. It's not a country that I expected to visit for the moment. So, want to try to guess which country is it? Here's a little list.

- Chile
- Colombia
- Canada
- Cuba
- Croatia
- China

Those who guess correctly can ask for something (possible and with a big number of limitations that I won't bother to list) from me. You have... I don't know... 4/5 days to answer.

Note: I won't go there on vacation exactly and the reason why I'll visit it (if it comes to happen) isn't the most joyous one, but it should prove interesting anyway. I can't give more details or it would become too obvious.

I'll have vacation from work (a week) and at the same time I'm switching my Internet company for another that will provide me a cheaper and faster service. But this means that I'll spend a few days without Internet connection. I will probably check my mail at some place, but not a lot more than that. So don't expect to see me for 6 days or so.
I can be reached via text message in my cellphone. I think most of you have it already. Mir, you should try and see if it works. Or send me your number to my mail and I'll try it. I was going to ask you on MSN, but I always forget.

Why am I letting you know this, while usually I disappear for a few days without a word? It's just that this time I actually know that I'll be gone :P

See you, kids.

I have no idea why I find this so funny, but it cracks me up. Honestly. It's like perfect comedy :P

While most people don't seem to know what Paris syndrome is (at least almost nobody answered my question) with my good friend Isi we have discovered another syndrome, the Paris (Hilton) one.
Paris (Hilton) syndrome is the syndrome that makes lots and lots of people say that she's hot when she clearly isn't.

Music for you, you and you, but not for you, because, frankly, you don't deserve it.

My favorite song from the latest Manic Street Preachers album. It's sad that the person who put this on youtube didn't make a video :P

A pretty nice NoFx song with great lyrics. Applies to the whole world, not just USA.

Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hr8k8WHTzN0&

Wolves in Wolves' clothing

We are Rome, Aztec Mexico, Easter Island paradigm
We are followers of Jimmy Jones, cutting in the Kool-Aid line

We are Animal Farm pigs
We are a Terry Gilliam film
We are fear oligarchy
We are wolves in wolves' clothing
We are this planet's kidney stones

In the process of getting passed, metamorphosis from first to last
A system breaking down beyond repairs
A product of three million millionaires and 100 million easy marks

We are Marie Antoinette
We are Joseph McCarthy
We've finally become the divided states
A nation built on freedoms, fears, and hate: the denotation of irony

We all want a Hollywood end, but we're getting a foreign one
The script has already been penned and titled "the epitaph of a drowning nation."

Today's little "Facts that you probably didn't know about PUNK": I probably (95% I'd say, without having consulted with any doctor) suffer a very light version (I think my mother and my brother have it worse) of this:

Believe me, it may not sound like it, but it's terribly annoying.

After something like 10 months of rehearsing together, we finally decided a name for my band. And the name is...

Sinestesia! (synaesthesia)!

What do you think? I think it's better than those of my previous bands, "about:blank" and "Zoophia".

Taken from [Linderel].

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 23.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next three sentences in your journal along with these instructions.
5. Don't dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.
