Well, since people were complaining (not without reason) that it was too hard to come up with ideas without having listened to the song, here's a guitar and voice version of it (Fran sings, I play). The second mic was very low and the speech is almost imposible to hear, but it's there. It the thing that sounds like a radio preacher on the backgroud :P

<URL:stuff/Living%20The%20End.mp3>

So far Mir and iippo's ideas have good chances.

IMPORTANT

I need your help. And yours. And yours. Really, if you don't help me with this it's that you don't love me (I know, emotional blackmail is so last century, but bear with me).

As you may be aware of, I have an almost band, that right now is in the middle of either kicking off the other guitar player or recording a few songs in the studio. Either one.
In any case, there's this song that we've been playing since pretty much forever because it comes from the previous band I had with Fran. And I was getting bored with it, especially because it's pretty mechanic to play. So I decided to start doing a little speech while he sings the chorus. And so far I've been improvising it. But that gets old soon and I'd prefer it to be an actual quote that is somehow related to the song.
So, if you people (who are supposed to love me, I should add) can help me giving me ideas of poems or quotes that could be used, that would be great. I can adapt whatever you send me. The total spech time must be around the 30 seconds and is said behind the actual singing. It can be a poem or something by any author, famous or not, doesn't have to be something new and original.
The song is in English and here are the lyrics with the parts between the speech would go in bold (NOTE: the lyrics have mistakes. But they were written by FRan and he refuses to change them so there's nothing we can do about that):

Living the end, of this country
Leaving the Hope Place, and resigning us
The only unity feeling is the lack of such feeling
When someone doesn't resist, it dies
When something doesn't resist, it dies
It's very sad, to presence
The end of the happiness
It's hard too much, to decide
Left our day by day
The salted water of sweet sea, will cover this country's territory
Where's government when people cry?
We are living the end
End,
Living the end
Feeling the death
Living the end
End
Living the end
Feeling the death
Living the end

I want refuge, desperately
I want some answers, desperately
I want to find someone who hears me
I want refuge and not the end

All and any help will be welcomed. Thanks.

10 minutes ago I got a phone call from Santiago (he's one of the owners of the comic-book store where I used to work). He told me "I need a huge favor, but I call you in 5".
Five minutes later, Javier (the other owner) called me:
"Patricio, I need a big favor, I need money. Lots. As much as possible. 1000, 2000 pesos"
*quick mental maths by me* (I have about 4000 in the bank... But the ATM will only allow me to withdraw 1000 a day) "Uh, sure... 1000 I can give you now"
"You have them there, can you bring them to me before 5:30?"
"Errr, no, I have to go to the bank. And I can't leave the office for a long time. I'm near, though"
"Ok, lemme know when you have them and I'll pick them up".
"Sure"

End of the conversation.

As those of you that actually read the news already know, we've lost a lot of wiki coments, diary entries, forum postings and guestbooks messages data in a big crash (to be exact, from 12/06 to now).

I know that I had a few unanswered guestbook messages from you, you, you and you. So, if you could so nice as to write them again... :P

Oh, and be kind, rewind.

While going through some books in Amazon, checking reccomendations and books that somehow related one to the other, I reached this one called "Is Belief in God Good, Bad or Irrelevant?: A Professor And a Punk Rocker Discuss Science, Religion, Naturalism & Christianity", with Preston Jones as author (which only relates to what I was seeing because the author of some of the other books was Preston Child :P ). But nowhere it said the name of the punkrocker.
Since it sounded interesting I started reaind some more and as I read more and more I kept thinking that there was only two or so punk rockers that could be the one discussing it (one was, of course, Greg Graffin; the other the Pennywise guy, whose name I can't recall right now). Of course, it was GG.
I think some of you may find this book interesting, particularly Viking and Elin.

Note: It seems the Pennywise guy isn't so interested in writing books about religion as in writing books about parenting:

Comics!

Because the always lovely [Mirime] asked for it (and her words are orders) some George R. R. Martin comics. Those of you who aren't reading his books should start. I did because of Mir and Viking's reccomendations and they are great.

Mir, I'm working on two more uploads for you. One is the other Hedge Knights comics and the other had some troubles because I only found them in Spanish. But soon.

Also, I lost the last guestbook messages, if I had any. So if you had asked for any comic for me to upload or anything like that in the last 3 days or so, please re-send it to me.

In the last diary entry I had suggested that maybe it would be cool to upload "Fables" or "John Constantine - Hellblazer". What do you think?

I'm kinda back after taking a few days off from here and from most of my activities too. I may take time to get back on track, though.
I had to skip a few posts and such and I'll get to message answering soon. Since most of the recent messages are about what happened, it may take a while till I feel in the mood, but I apprecciate all the nice words and thoughts and be sure that they are great to receive and that I love you all, my friends.

To all my friends, much gratitude.

Patricio
