So, lately I've been Travis obsessed. Last week I bought the dvd ("More than us". I highly reccomend it) and it has a couple great moments:
1) they are playing "Writing to reach you". The song has a verse, at the beginning, that is more or less like this:
Every day I wake up and it's Sunday
Whatever's in my head won't go away
The radio is playing all the usual
And what's a wonderwall anyway
So, in the exact moment that Fran Healy is singing the wonderwall part, they show that Noel Gallagher is behind the stage listening xD
And I'd like to know what's a wonderwall :P
2) Doug enters the place where they are hanging totally freaked out because he has just seen Green Day's performance in the same festival and he's scared of rock fans. Hilarious.
Also, I learned that there's a first album called "Good Feeling" that I didn't know existed and that I can't find anywhere. If somebody has it or can get it and send me the mp3 files, I'll be more than grateful. It contains an amazing song called "U16 girls" that I want to play in the radio.
After yesterday's match against MExico, I don't think my heart health is the best out there :P
My throat feels like sandpaper right now. I'm thinking about breathing on the furniture to see if that removes the paint.
Doing a little self-analysis, I find pretty strange the fact that I use expressions like "God hear you" or "Only God knows" a lot (or, at least, that I think about using them pretty soon) even though that my lack of belief is bulletproof. Curious and more curious.

Nihilism: It's the denial of all belief, of every religious, political or social principle. It can be said that nihilism is also the denial of all those values that are considered as neccesary and evident, a philosophical positions that denies the possibility to know the reality. Nietzsche defines nihilism as the "lack of values of the values" and considers it a reaction against the attitude that substitutes the vital primary instincts (those that are natural to us, the only really valid, product of our own condition as animals) with the false moral and religious principles product of Christianism and those of the traditional philosophy.
Nihilism was taken as an important point of reference in what can be usually called punk, hardcore and grunge culture, with the biggest exponent in the "No Future" claimed by first punk bands in London, circa 1977. Grunge, in the middle 90s, retakes it, which can be clearly seen in bands like Pearl Jam.
Existencialism
But that's not everything. The being is unique, experiences the isolation from the rest, since the experience is individual, not groupal. The universe is hostile or indifferent to the being. Nothing of what makes him be can be explained, because the existence can't be explained. That leaves the being without anything to believe in. Also, it stresses freedom of choice and responsibility for the consequences of one's acts.
And then it keeps getting more and more complicated. But I think that's enough.
Sources: An encyclopedia and my head. The punk references, of course, weren't in the encyclopedia. Neither was the fact that I think that Kierkegaard has the best name out there.
I find those questions about goth that I've seen in a couple houses interesting. I may answer them later.
I uploaded a new song to MusMakers. I would really apprecciate some comments.
We recorded it last Monday. It should be played by 2 guitars, bass and drumms, but the recording only includes one guitar and voice.
Vocals: Ariel
Guitar: Patricio
Lyrics and guitars written by Ariel.

I'd never really paid attention to this song lyrics, but I think Mir will like this part:
Blind Melon - "No Rain"
And I don't understand why I sleep all day
And I start to complain that there's no rain
And all I can do is read a book to stay awake
And it rips my life away, but it's a great escape
For [Patri] and [Moonknight].
Sometimes songs express a lot of things that you feel/think. A few chosen verses from a spanish one. The translation wasn't done by me, but it's the one in the official website of the singer, so complain to him if something's wrong.

Ismael Serrano "Ya quisiera yo" ("I wish I")
I really wish I was a freethinker,
be deaf to the growling of the guts of so many people, their weeping and their pain,
establish myself as a politically-co
handle myself appropriately with everyone.
I really wish I could join the pacifists,
barefoot, giving away flowers plucked from some pot,
without having to turn the other cheek to anyone,
not to be threatened by any undesirables.
The fact is that common misseries affect me,
those of the supermarket, of the Subway, of the sidewalks,
also those more distant ones,
those of the dry deserts, those of the green rainforests.
The fact is that I sympathize with
some of those warriors of the dusk,
who crack open their chests to be heard
who will die in some corner, shot down.
I'd like to be smarter, stop myself from getting involved,
know myself free of guilt and clean of sin,
and be a charitable soul: Maria Goretti or a saint,
suffering just a bit, just my due.
To lack knowledge of politics and its news,
convincing myself it's a spiderweb, a nest of scorpions,
and mutilate my soul and my social animal's essence,
know myself superior to so much frivolity.
The fact is that I'm maybe too deeply affected by,
the sorrow of the suburbs, the urban tragedy,
to know that we will become cannibals soon,
and that there won't be enough flesh for everyone.
The fact is that maybe I'm too deeply affected by
having so much fear of walking out of my front door,
see my city burning or the pavement bleeding.
Perhaps I should pay less attention to the news.
I'd like to be smarter, play well the role,
free myself from labels, including that of 'man',
and understand that only I understand myself,
and no-one else does so,
be a good, straight and respectable citizen.
Omit from my songs
words like comrade worker,
justice, guerrilla, peace, starvation or fear,
and speak of love, of plesant things, of my memories
tell some funny story
from when I was a teenager.
Growing Up (song by Patricio, written like 5 years ago)
We are not the kids we used to be
A few years ago
We aren't now so fond on
Playing with rag dolls
And we can say no when
We don't wanna go
But when we are in panic
We still call for our moms
We have grown up but
We have the same minds
We want to get a job now
Whichever we can find
To be included, to be important
Just to be a part
But back at home we can't stop
Watching "Dexter's Lab"
Not so old, but not so young
In the middle, being a nag
Growing up
Quoting [ally]!
"You'll be forgiven as soon as the money arrives. I'm so catholic x) "
Such a deep truth expressed in such a simple way :P
Translation of my mood:
El arte the vivir con fe, sin saber con fe en que
The art of living with faith, without knowing with faith in what
There's a great wiki that has been recently started called voice clips. Personally, I think it's a great idea *coughscoughs* Anyway, since not everybody knows and since I like to embarrass myself as much as possible (and because some of you may enjoy it) here are the last two "clips" I uploaded:
[All_Most PUNK]: <URL:stuff/
PUNK playing the part of a woman in a radio play: "Hola, ¿Como están? Ay, pero que lindo lugar que tienen" ("Hello, how are you? Oh, but what a nice place you have").
[All_Most PUNK]: <URL:stuff/
Same radio play as before: "Ah, no, no, no, no, no, querida. Vos sabes muy bien... vos sabes muy bien que esa cancha es de las tres familias, así que no me vengas a reclamar nada" ("Ah, no, no, no, no, dear. You know very well... you know very well that that court belongs to the three families, so don't come here demanding anything"
Just so you all know, it wasn't "Pandora! Close! The! Fucking! Box!!!" the mood that Itay didn't like it, but "Dog eat dog, every day, on our fellow man we pray". It was in my mood box for only 10 minutes, since he didn't like it.
Today I got one of the most measuring stares that I've gotten in all my life. I was walking down the street when a girl walked past me and gave me what may be called "The stare". From the top of my head to my feet. With a apprecciative expression. I felt like I was being sold or something.
Considering the expression she wore after giving me "the stare" I got a 5 or 6 in the scale. Something like a "Ok, it's not great, could be a lot better, but it's not so bad either". It was kinda weird.
On a totally different note, a big colony of bats can eat up to 250,000 kgs of bugs in one night. Or at least so it says in the paper of the candy I just ate.
I watched "Hostel" yesterday. If I go to Europe (when I go yo Europe, I should say) I won't stay in a hostel. It's a taken desicion.
The movie is pretty bad, though. A couple shocking scenes and not a lot more. It takes at least 25 minutes for it to actually start, the main character changes in the middle of the movie and then there's that incredibly stupid scene with the two girls and the guy standing in the middle of the street by pure chance. Why Tarantino liked it?
A song I wrote like a year and a half ago. Actually, it was mostly improvised, since the singer was playing the guitar base along with the drummer, threw the mic to me and just said "Sing!".
Thinking back, there were lot of chances from the first improvised version to the final one. I think it started more as a love song.
EDIT: I'd love some feedback about it. That's the edit. It's what brought you all here again. Sorry about that. Won't happen again.
Bombs falling again
So many lives, so much time
We have wasted in this game
And we keep falling for it
Like we already did
Always the same tricks
So many wounds, so much pain
We have caused for the sake
Of repeating our mistakes
There's no escape
Deja vu again
A thousand sentences of death
Bombs, napalm, violence
Bullets, destruction and pain
We are all just human beings
Many branches, the same seed
So fuck the strangest hierarchy
There's no escape
Bombs falling again
