How did the cat get so fat?

I went to the NoFx show last night. It was a pretty good show. The band sounds really clean and rehearsed. They played mostly old songs, which was nice, considering that they hadn't been in Buenos Aires in 9 years.
Things to note:
-They talk a lot on stage. And, of course, the public understood half of what they said. Even Fat Mike commented on that, saying "We're gonna say a lot of things that you won't understand and we're gonna play a few songs that you won't understand either". They really talk a lot.
-At some point, they played 11 songs un 6 minutes. I didn't control the time, but I think they accomplished the task.
-Political declarations: they played a song called "The dumb song of an asshole" directed towards George Bush. And "Murder the Government", of course. And a couple more.
-Fat Mike told us that we shouldn't hate all Americans because of their president, but that it's ok to hate the French *nods sagely*
-They played "Linoleum", "How did the cat get so fat?" (which with that single line directed towards Bill CLinton really express the idea of the song), "I'm telling Tim", "All his suits are torn", "Champs Elysees", "Monosyllabic Girl" and "Don't call me white" between many other songs I don't remember the name. "Murder the government" and "Don't call me white" where the most emotional moments of the night.
-The place was totally sold out. Se picture below.
-At the end of the show, Melvin stayed there playing accordion for like 2 minutes. A guy from the crew came and started pushing him towards the backstage. Halfway there, he made a chaplinesque movement and came back and kept playing for a minute more. Thye repeated it 4 times or so. The audience, meanwhile, was hypnotized. That's being able to keep the attention of the public, something to easily done.

So, since I was talking about stereotypes with Sun, let's review one: Argentinians are incredibly egocentric. They think they are the best thing in the world. Therefore, jokes of argentinians.

Do you know how an argentinian commits suicide?
He jumps from his own ego.

Why does an argentinian smile when there's lighting in the sky?
Because he thinks God is taking a picture of him.

Enjoy, people.

Wouldn't that be something to see? I can imagine it:
Me: "So, you say that they are one and three at the same time? His own father?"
Bishop: "YES, DAMMIT! THE SAME!!!"
Me: "Mmmm... yeea... no, sorry, I dont get it. And weren't you supposed to be all calm and in peace?"
Bishop: "Those are the fuckin' buddhists!" *starts hitting Punk with a bible*

*is laughing almost out of control. At least 2 tears can be seen in his eyes* So... the guy goes and says that "Islam is evil and inhuman" *chuckles* And then... Oh, and I forgot to mention this! The whole joke doesn't make any sense if I don't mention that: HE'S THE POPE!!! Get it!? The Pope! And he says that *is interrupted by another laugh attack* Islam is... *jojojs a lot* inhuman and evil... But he didn't mean it! He was just quoting some old old text! *dies laughing*

Seriouly, people, what's worse? The declaration or the excuse? Saying something so stupid about a whole religion or quoting a book which was already discriminatory and retrograd when it was written, in the middle age? I'm not really sure. All I know is that the Nazi Pope did it again.
And then they wonder why I'm against the Church...

2 conclusions:

1) Everything is a big joke. Pity that it isn't a funny one.

2) I would be a better Pope than NP.

Almost every day (or every two days... or twice a day... it's not a rule) I ask myself where my life is going and what am I doing with it. i never have an answer. And then, my life is far from being something I don't like and I'm actually going through a good moment. So maybe not having answers isn't so bad :D
People, wake up and smell the sun!!!

Gah, gah, gah, gah! *jumps around all excited... in a mature way, 'cause he's all mature and responsible now*
Finally, finally, finally *maybe it isn't so much in a mature way as in a japanese fangirl way... that deserves some investigation*
Finally! After 6 or 7 years! I have some original Mr T Experience albums in my hands :D :D :D :D 3 of them, to be more precise ("Revenge is sweet... and so are you", "Yesterday rules" and "The miracle of shame"). It seemed almost impossible, but now I've found a small records shop that can import them for me (pretty expensive but it's MTX! One of my long life desires come true!).
So :D :D :D :D :D

PS: Oh, I may even do something silly like putting the name of my favorite songs in my mood or something like that. YEah, I think I'll do exactly that.

It's getting harder and harder to keep up with this :P Maybe I should quit things in ET. But what? Forums? Jobs (which I haven't done in a while, anyway, since I'm never here)? What? Or maybe just wait a little and I'll get used to my new eorking and living hours and find time for everything? Gotta think about it for a while.

In any case, I miss you people.

So... it... happened. It's been confirmed. There's no turning back. We are all doomed. It was bound to happen, eventually, but not everybody was sure it was going to be in this lifetime. Not that it couldn't be expected but...
I have a job. A new one, I mean :D I'm starting the day after tomorrow (gah, bad, bad movie), Monday. The job is press and promotion assistant at a publioshing house. A little triumph for me, since when I lost my other job I decided that I wasn't going to do anything, but work on a place I wanted to, a publishing house or a book store or a production company. It's done, then.
For the first time in my life, I'll actually be doing 9 to 5. Yes. I still can't believe it :P It seems I'll be chained to the mirror and the razorblade after all.
May it be time to grow up? Do I turn into a serious bussiness man? It's an interesting desicion to make.

Italy? Italy? ITALY? It could have been so many teams but... Italy? The team that best represents the ultra-defensive tactics? The team that would defend with 15 players if it wasn't because those pesky referees don't let them? The team that needed the gift of a penalty to beat Australia? The team that has several players involved in a betting scandal? That team wins the World Cup? ARGH!

Oh, I haven't mentioned this before, but I probably should, since it's important (in my life, not in the universe's big scheme). In any case, I was too busy talking about turtles and Nietzche.

UPMA finally has its own radio programm!! :D It started 3 weeks ago, it's two hours long, goes once a week and it's full of things from the fanzine, music, radioplays, nonsense talking and mistakes. It's everything an UPMA fan (or the UPMAs themselves, for that matter) may wish for. It's a lot of fun to do and one of those whings I've been wishng for years. No more having small sections in other persons' programms. It's all ours now!
That said, the bad part is that is can only be listened through internet, for the moment (maybe in 6/8 months that will change) and that, of course, we don¿t make money out of it. But it's pure pleasure! We, the 5 UPMAs, do everything: write the scripts, improvise the non-scripted parts, host, edit, produce and everything. The only thing we don't do, for the moment, is operating (except for some parts) but it'll happen soon.
Sadly the programm is in spanish, so to most of you it'll be just gibberish. If you still want to listen to it for a couple minutes, at least to hear my voice, you can do so every Wednesday from 1 to 3 am (ET time, of course and if my maths don't fail). The address is www.rnma.org.ar Just click on "Enlace para abrir la radio en tu reproductor".

[Patri] and [Moonknight], you have the moral obligation to at least listen to it for a couple minutes.

Following the previous note, it's exactly the kind of thing I'd do if I was a respected philosopher (or a not respected one):

"Serious" philosopher -Thinking about it logically, the arrow can never hit the turtle, because when it has reached the place where the turtle was, it has already moved. Therefore, the arrow will never reach it.
Me - Yeah, right. I'll do the arrow shooting and you'll do the running and we'll see how logical it gets.

Fragment from "Creación Colectiva" ("Collaborative Creation") from the book "La maquina creativa" ("The creative machine") by David Casacuberta. Translated by yours truly.

Have you ever heard about the cynics? They were some peculiar greek philosophers -punks avant la lettre- who laughed at the pretensions of their colleagues of more "serious" schools. One of those "serious" philosophers was Zenon de Elea and his followers, who had a serie of very elaborated mathematical arguments to prove that movement was impossible. The cynics had the amusing habit of running around Zenon and his disciples to prove in a practical way that movement existed

Ahh, philosophers after my own heart xD
