Because something that is being talked in one of the forums reminded me of this, one of the best Mr T Experience lyrics, a piece of pure genius sang to a very rock and roll tune:

The Complicated History Of The Concept Of The Soul

Homer didn't have a comprehensive word for mind.
the psyche and the conscious self had not yet been combined.
He understood events as repetition of the past,
and individual consciousness was not a part of that.
But early Greek thought played a role in the complicate history of the concept of the soul.1

By the time of Plato these ideas had taken shape.
The Phaedo and Timaeus are works which demonstrate
the consious separation of the knower from the known
and the dual nature of the body and the soul.
Modern thought was possible:
It's the complicated history of the concept of the soul.
Whoa!

Pythagoras and Orphic doctrines all came into play,
because Plato was a mystic in his own Platonic way.
The pre-Socratic Naturalists saw things in terms of "stuff".
But Plato's metaphysics showed that this was not enough.
This is the incredible complicated history of the concept of the soul.
Rock and roll.2

The virus that entered the computers at the office is still alive. That means that I can't use MSN for the moment. I don't know when it will be solved. It's kinda like going back to normal for me.

I was going to make a deep diary entry about how many of the desicions we make in life, love, hate and war are just based on ad-hoc hypothesis, how life is just a succession of those. But somethig came up, so I won't. That will be left for later or never.

I'm in the mainstreet, in the Daily Poem! Well, the only poem I've ever written is there, not me :D It's one of those things I was really hoping for, so I'm quite happy.

And reading back the poem (written like 3 years ago) I can say that I actually like it and I feel kinda proud of it (something that doesn't happen with most of my works). So everything's really great :D

I cleaned up all the Junk forum. Over 1000 posts (I must have skipped like 200 in total). Something like 300 posts made. I need to sleep. And hope that everybody will decide that they don't want to post anymore :P

Quoting the Viking:

Well, put it this way - In the history of the USA, only two people have been shot in the back of the head in a theatre: Abraham Lincoln, and the guy sitting in front of Pee Wee Herman.

And now for something completely different. For real, this time.
Since some people may starting to think that I'm not a real, moving person but a serie of moments frozen in time (also known as pictures), here's a little extract from a less-than-realistic documentary that we made about fanzines. In the extract, me talking.
Notes: It's big (almost 7 megas) even though I lowered the quality a lot. Also, the subtitles were made by me and are my first intent at video editing, so they are far from perfect.

Today's lesson, kids: The only way to make sure something will work out the right way is to do it yourself. Don't let anybody else take care of it. People are useless :P
Of course since I'm lazy and I think I already take care of enough things, I won't follow this lesson. But I've learned it xD

Note: This isn't ET related and it's nothing serious or important, just a meeting that didn't go as planned because of some communication problems... which were partially my fault, but don't let anybody know ;)

Today's embarrasing moment, brought to you by Camaro! (Yeah, I wish Camaro was sponsorazing my dairy entries :P ).

I went to a university to leave books for a professor this morning. Then I went to take the bus, for a one hour or a little more trip. That was unnecesary information, by the way. You can skip it.
Anyway, I paid for my ticket and heard some shouting. It was a girl that works with FranUPMA in one of the places where I sometimes collaborate, a place that produces radio things for communitarian or independent radios that don't have the means to do it for themselves. It's a way to democratize communication and media.
So, I sat next to her and we started talking. At some point, like half an hour later, in the middle of the trip, we started talking about Dante's (my stepfather) health problems (for those of you that don't know, he's got some kind of cancer).
Anyway, I was talking about his treatment and all that and she made a couple really well oriented questions. I should have gotten a clue then, but I am me :P
The following conversation took place then.

PUNK: So, the worse part is that there are no symptoms. The thing was growing inside of him for like 2 years without a clue of it. They discovered it only 6 months ago.
INES: Oh, yes. It happened to my brother. He went for a control and the doctor discovered that he had a tumor in his leg.
PUNK: (Already a little insecure) Oh... that must be terrible... So, what could they do? How did they solve it?
INES: They didn't. They had to cut his leg a little above the knee. And now he has a prothetic one.
PUNK: Errr... arrr... umm... errr... (I wasn't stuttering as much as stumbling with every word :P ). Ummm... I didn't... know... When was it? (Recovering and hoping for "14 years ago" answer)
INES: Last year. Like 10 months ago.
PUNK: Oh... ok... this proves that I don't know your brother a lot. I've seen him like twice. Err... (some more stumbling) So, what a nice moment we are sharing, uh? :P

And then we laughed :P I'm just glad that it was with somebody I get along pretty well and that has a sense of humor.

Are security guards stupid since birth or is something that comes with time in the work? I wonder...

No offense to any security guard or security guard's relatives that may be reading this. I'm not talking about individual security guards, but about their race.

It's quoting time!
And this time it's the always lovely [Mirime] who's quoted, with this absolute classic:
(This was about a game of Mao she was playing)
I kept getting penalty cards for inappropriate stroking of the carpet

xD
Amazing

There's a story behind, but it's for me to tell. Ask her if interested.

Quoting time (second hand quoting, since I'm actually quoting [Viking]'s diary):

[iippo] said:
"Viking, Isi and PUNK went to a restaurant. Viking ordered a steak. 'What about the vegetables', the waitress asked. 'They'll have the same', Viking replied."

Well, it's official: after two semesters where I only took one or two exams, I signed up for two courses next semester. So, if they assign me the hours I asked, I'm going back to university.

Also, I'm getting ready for a long night in front of the computer, since I promised to write a couple articles for the Herald. In a way, it's kinda like been back at uni, preparing an exam :P
There's no coffee, though. Nor coke. Damn.

So dark
We are like animals in the Ark
Being taken where we don't belong
By powers that are way beyond our control

I walk straight
Freedom in my mind, to maintain the pace
Trying to stand up for what's right and fair
Even if all the time I make mistakes

By Myself. It's a song, of course. The melody is a lot like Keane's "Is it any wonder?" though O_O I should try to change that.
