Phantoms worship art; they love only beauty. And they love it obsessively. But Phantoms are artists, and when that beauty dims or threatens their art, they leave it, or need be, destroy it. They have no remorse or compassion for such an object; it earns only their contempt, as it stands in the pursuit of the beautiful.
Pixies are fickle and chaotic and overdramatic and dastardly. But when they decide to love, they love completely. They dedicate themselves to the object of their devotion, and attach their power and life to it. If it's taken from them, they are irreversibly crippled. For this reason they are very careful to keep the object of their love a deep secret.
A pixie should not love a phantom.
Damnit, USA!
I'm dating a Chinese girl. As in, born-and-raise
At the moment, the US has the most medals total at 22.
But as for gold:
China: 14.
USA: 9.
I'm never going to hear the end of this. COME ON YOU GUYS.
It's like Phelps is on his own here or something! Somebody prove me wrong here, the coverage my TV gets of the Olympics is not very good at all. Where the hell else are we getting our medals?!
This probably won't make anything but local news but it's worth reporting anyway:
at 11:42 AM in Chino Hills (A good trot northwest of Santa Monica, where I live) there was a 5.4 earthquake that lasted a good twenty seconds or so. It literally shook me awake. Everything is just fine, though, in the entire city the only damage seems to be a broken water main underneath an intersection downtown-ish. As for me and mine, cell phones are offline for within the state calls, but nothing even got knocked off the shelves, which is very wierd considering how forceful it was.
So in conclusion:
Everything is fine here, we're all fine here, now...
...how are you?
My mom woke me up at 3 in the morning because I kept making high pitched singing noises in my sleep, and started talking about having to be three people at once to get anything done on this damn ship, since we're so understaffed. We walked about for a bit and I kept burping up stomach acid. I went back to bed, and at around 5 or 6 I threw up.
So I stayed home today. I've still got burps coming up, but at least they're not accompanied by gastric acids. My chest feels really tight and I was tempted to sleep the entire day, but my dad bought me these crazy awesome new speakers yesterday and I wanted to try them out.
This'll be the second week in a row I get sick on a Tuesday and am rendered unable to go to fencing class. *cries*
