Tired of Pretending

She's tired of pretending,
she has too much to hide,
she seems so free and happy,
but no one knows what's inside.
Alone she carries the weight of the world,
while striving to show
that she's strong.
As her heart is tossed and whirled,
will she ever find where she belongs?
The vital signs are there,
but is she still alive?
She wishes that someone would care...
as tears stream through her eyes.
