okay, im attempting to move, and i have a mini rant for anyone attempting to build or renovate a house.
some things not to do:
1) no arches into rooms- it looks bad, and it is a nightmare to get a door in it. Every room needs a door, okay? lots more versatility. if you really must put an arch in, at least put a door in the opening, one with an arch.
2) no weird glass openings on the stairs that let one look down into a room, its just creepy.
3) no wallpaper especially not textured wallpaper, it looks hideous and attracts a whole lot of dust. don't make cleaning any harder than it needs to be.
4) if you decide to ignore the earlier point about no wallpaper at your own peril, do not paint over it once you realise your mistake. just strip it, then you can choose the paint colour of your choice with no unsightly bumps.

and im done for the moment. but im sure i'll think of other things later.
