*listens to the beauty that is Narita Ken's voice*
I have a thing for voices; yes, anyone who knows me well knows this fact about me. They can make a man (or woman) beautiful or repulsive depending on the appeal of his/her voice. And believe me, it's hard to explain what makes a voice 'pretty' to me...deep, hoarse, smooth, vibrant, shrill...who knows! I just know that there are voices, I have heard them and I just *melt* inside. I get this feeling, in my stomach and in my chest; it's moving to hear something so beautiful.
Honestly, that is one thing I love about my own husband, his voice is wonderful!! So it's one thing that attracts me. Yes, and sadly, that is how I aquired the rather odd habit of felling for drawn characters. I, Laura, have more than twice fostered crushes for cartoon characters. This habit actually led me to realize just how attractive voices are to me. I had to ask myself: What is it that made me crush on this particular character, as a child or in the present? It's their style, sure, their colours, also: but, I found the answer, the most telling characterisitc was in the speech.
I have a thing for voices, and now I am all that more keen when listening to people speak.
So, this little rant was fueled by the fact that I *adore* the man who voices Sesshoumaru sama in Inuyasha. His name: Narita Ken (actually Tsutomu.) I have noticed that a few of my favorite voices come from Japan--male and female alike, mind you! It's the voices and the language spoken by them.
I am *enthralled* by the language of Japan, it's wonderful. It's beautiful! I love using English, as harsh as it may sound at times, and I love my native tongue; but oh! How I would love to speak it, to think it, even!
You know, the thought process always occurs in your dominant language. It would please me to learn Japanese and be able to think in either English or Japanese.
I have quite a task ahead of me. All this from a few lines, colours and beautiful voices!!
^.^
"Doushite doushite na no ka
Kokoro yuragu wake"--Narita Ken (as Sesshoumaru sama) singing "Gou"
*tear* I have no words to explain how this makes me feel...
For anybody, any of my friends or any passers-by, who like InuYasha and have seen the 3rd movie, I have a poll. It's actually my first, and I imagine that my polls will probably only have to do with InuYasha. ^.^
<poll:60490>
*sings* Play on, play on... ^.^
I want to bleed again, yet sadly I cannot. *sighing*
I'd fuck your brains out. ^.^
tee-hee!
Don't ask, please!! I'm sure I'll delete this before too long--I think I need a nap... o.O
What am I waiting for? Looking for myself in you.
You're a true piece of shit.
Spurious.
What would change, if I spoke those words?
It's so true, and how pathetic!
This is what loneliness does,
makes distances more apparent and brings people together.
My heart is a vile thing,
but not so lowly as my mind. Vagrant! Bereft.
It's all I want, I want to feel again.
It's all...
Lance...
I was running last night and decided to pick out songs from my playlists that reminded me of characters from Inuyasha!! It's easy with my favourite characters, to identify them with my favourite tunes!! ^.^
I would SO love to make my own music videos for each song and character!! Psycho, hai! Auntie knows all about it and she's all I really need to understand me. ;)

"Sesshoumaru, is there something you want to protect?"
"Rin's Song"
In the mountain
in the forest
in the wind
in a dream
Where are you Sesshoumaru-sa
With an ally like Jaken?
"Rin."
"Oh? Ha! Sesshoumaru-sa
"We're going.
Let's go."
"Ok!"
I will wait alone until you come!
Sesshoumaru-sa
from InuYasha (damnit, auntie! ;))
