Here is were once a year the leaders of the Wereanimals gather with other creatures of the world talk and solve problems. However, you must beware because it is also were assasins atttempt to kill those with enemies.

Outside Council
Maddy looked at the girl through tired eyes. "I know a young man who feels very similar to he. He also lost all his family."
Nadya looked at Maddy closely. "You do....? I...I'm sorry if I'm so interested in this young man you speak of.... but.... my race is very few.... if not completely gone when it comes to.... born vampires...."
"Ah, that explains much. It is true for all creatures that the purest of bloods are disappear. AS for my own race, I;m the last pure blood Werewolf besides my father. " Maddy sniffled slighly. "As for the young man, lets just say he has his own way with deaing with the grief, which i don't understnd."
"You don't know what he is?" she asked curiously. "How does he handle grief?"
Maddy looked thoughfull, "Evan is a strange kid, but he's had to grow uo fast. For the most part he trys not to think about any of his family and throughs himself into projects. He's always keeping busy."
"Evan? As in Prince Evan?" Nadya asked. "Abarhi learned from him... for me... about the hunt that his kingdom a century ago had called on....vampires....and...that my brother is alive some where...."
Maddy looked up with surprise. "How would he have known that? His father called for the murder of a million vampires, and now the Phoenix kingdom is doing the same for wereanimals." She sighed. "His fathers death destroyed him in a way. But how in the world does he know your brother is allive?"
"I... don't know... but... I thought it was Evan's grandfather? It hurt the night our manor was attacked.... my family were nobles... supportive of the kingdom...we didn't needlessly kill... we had friends and workers that freely gave of their blood for use to feed...." she said softly.
"Evan's grandfather did make the original order; however, he also requested several captives. The captives breeded for years under the castle, where Evan;s father hen ordered them all killed when he became killed. Evan was forced to watch many of their exacutions." Maddy shuddered at the image of when Evan came to her covered in vamoire blood.
"No... oh please...no... brother... please don't make my grave to you to be true...." Nadya whispered. She looked at Maddy sadly. "It was my brother that hide me away.... while everyone fought to protect the manor.... I....I didn't know how to fight... and I had been looking like a child for so long for our mother that I never really learned to... I always had my brother.... I... I buried our family and friends... and....searched for my brother.... but... I don't know any more..."
"If Evan said your brother is alive, then he most likely is. Lieing is not one of Evan's traits. Expecially when it comes to that of that much killing."Maddy told her.
"Really....? I do hope so....My brother would have become our family's leader.... and of the vampires...." she said softly. "I...don't know if I ever could be like them... but... I'm learning from friends how to fight..."
"I'd belive in what your intuision says." Maddy though about the girl's brother. "You know there might be someone in the coucil that may be able to locate or at least have an idea about were your brothere is."
"You think so?" Nadya asked. "I...really would like to try...thanks Maddy... you are so nice...." She smiled kindly. "I just hope I don't get kidnapped again...."
Maddy had to stifle a giggle. "I'm sure you'll be fine. Have you ever thgought about learning how to use your powers in fighting? That way you might not keep getting kidnapped."
"I don't know.... I never really thought about that... I...Miss Maddy.... I'm a vampire... born... but... even my family was surprised by my ability to do this...." Nadya shift and now she looked like a six year old version of the self that Maddy had just met. "I can even freeze myself at this age.... or how I was before..." she said in a child's voice. "I can do other things too..."
"Well it might be a good time to look into it. I believe there is a Crunisk on the council. He maybe able to help you. Of cource it probably will come with a price. one you will have to decide if you can pay."
"A Crunisk....?" Nadya asked with wide eyes. "I've meet a Crunisk... the same one on different occassions.... he saved me for daemons onces... but... he... he wants my blood..... he thinks that its sweet smelling...." Nadya said, shift back to being 16 years old in appearance.
"Is a little blood worth being able to defend yourself?" Maddy looked at her. "Nadya, in reality nothing is free. You will always have to pay a price for what you want. whether it be someone else's feelings to any type of sacrifice. A little blood is worth less than your life."
"I don't know if it was a little blood he wanted... or my life....all of my blood....I want to be stronger....but... I'm scared...."
Maddy went tp put an arm aroun the girl. "In the end it is your choice, but I have a suggestion. Talk to him about it in a place you feel safe with other people around. See if he will make a deal with you, one that keeps you alive." She looked up at the sky. "With out risk, you'll find no happiness. Trust me on this."
"Okay...." she said. "Miss Maddy...what's wrong?"
Maddy smiled, "It's funny how your much older than me, but your innocence makes me feel as if I'm the oldest."
"That would be because, until the Ball at the Pheonix Kingdom, I had frooze my age at being a child... I an done that for my mother... and after my family's deaths... I just stayed that way....and.... I had stayed hidden and out of the way of the world for the last century...."
Maddy looked at the child bewildered. "To live as a child for that long." She shuddered. "You, my girl, are in need of of a bit grown up time."
Nadya blushed. "Yea.... I've...I've already been kissed, and I know if my brother knew, he would want to know who and would probably try to kill the one that had...."
Maddy let out a hearty laugh, "My girl that's definitely a start."
Nadya nodded. "He is also the one that has started to train me in fighting...but... it is those that wish to hurt him.... that hurt me to hurt him..."
"That will not help you grow any stronger. You need to train with someone you will not mind hurting." Maddy sighed. "As much as this is going to suck, your man is being more of a hindrance than a help."
"I think you have it backwards... I am the hindrance...he is a great fighter... but with having to worry about me....I distract him...." Nadya said looking down. "He might be better off without me..."
"Don't you ever think that!" Maddy told her in a serious tone with a growl. "He may have more experience, but the point is to help you grow and train your skills. Having someone worry constantly is smothering and wont allow you to get better. In this case he is the problem not the solution. You can't have someone looking after you all your life. Sooner or later he wont be there when it really counts. "
Nadya looked at her. "Maddy...I....I will always trust that he will be there for me.... but I...I will...I will fight for him... and beside him...." she said. "I...I'll talk to the Crunisk....I....I'm still scared....though..."
"I'll be there with you when you do. gurthar and I get along well actually. He's a bit rough, true, but he's a reasonable man."
"Gurthar? That's the Crunisk that saved me onces....but...at the Midwinter Ball he threatened my life to try and hurt Arabhi.... and then in the forest....but both times he let me go....he really thinks my blood smell sweet.....I... yes please be there....he really confuses me...."
"I will. Oh, It looks as if the Council is Over." Maddy said pointing to those that came from the council room.
Nadya nodded looking and watching as people walked out. "It looks like it...again thank you for talking with me...and for helping me..."
Sage came out of the Council, and walked over to where he had stored his pack and instruments. Sage looked around, don't knowing what else he should do, Evan had asked him to stand in but not really what else. He looked over and saw Maddy. "Miss Maddy.... how are you?" he said with a slight bow.
In Coucil
"You are acting like violent, arrogent fools." Titania of the Fey said, her voice ringing through out the clearing. "If we destroy the elves then you destroy Tyradias. The elves are intertwined with the planet's life force. They are all ready dwindling any way." She seethed at their ignorence. "Men are vile creatures who fail to see reason."
"I agree." Katryna of the Banchees dsaid. "We do not have the liberty or ability to destroy one of enouther. The fact vampires still excite should be an exaple. And that is the world starts to fall apart Elves will be need over any other." She looked at Roan. "You are the girl from the prophacy are you not?"
Shocked Roan slowly nodded her head. "I am." She did not know what to do or say. She was unaware that her presence was known to others.
"Your thoughts on the matter." Titiania asked.
Shaking slightly, Roan sollowed then replied. "I think that a task force should be put together to find the god. In addition, a group should be chosen to search for a new pillar just in case the god can not be found or saved."
"A wise decision," Richard of the werewolves said. "This way we can focus on everyones needs. I'd like to know your oppinion elder Dragin, after all your wisedom i far greater than anyone elses."
The leader of the Imps cheered for the idea.
Sage just looked down at his hands, he hadn't meant to get them angry. He was half man...so he guessed he has no true family...any more.
"The only plausable solution at the present would be the one suggested, as the son cannot be found and the gods' were abouts and condition are unknown" Toragon said slowly.
Turan nodded slowly in agreement.
Gale walked into the room, "I'm sorry I'm late." She said softly. "I am in the right place...?"
Toragon's dragon sense piqued another elder dragon? This is indeed a rare thing he thought to himself, not having seen one of his own in many years "If you are hear as a representative then yes you are in the right place" he answered.
Gale's gaze flickered over him as she realized he was a dragon as well and a small smile curved her lips, "Thank you"
Conrad and Malek seethed at the turn of tides. They both however took note as to who was for their plan of action and how to use them. Conrad, for seeing Turan and Abarhi removed and his vengeance satisfied, and Malek for the duel purpose of destroying Turan and seeing to it that Roan never got a chance at her quest.
Sage looked over at Conrad uncomfortable. He trusted the Lady, the one that had given him shelter... but he just was sure who to really trust besides her.
"Then shall we make these little groups?" Richard said. "Are there any preferences?"
Turan nodded "I currently have a task related to this which i cannot set aside, as to the groups i have no preferance as to who is in what group"
Toragon folded his hands, he could sense the disquiet and unease, and that made him on guard.
The Crusnik lord nodded "No objections"
The Lich lord looked at Malek who shook his head "No objections" he said before sitting down.
Sage shock his head. "No... objections..."
Which was the reply through out the Council. "Very well. Each of you must either yourselve, or assign someone, to be apart of the task force." Lord Richard said as he thought about the way to organize the groups.
"I'll go..." said Sage, "I don't care which group..."
Gale sat in thoughtful silence for several moments, "I will go alone. I do not wish to be part of a group." She said softly, as her habit of solitude made her want to avoid being stuck with a group.
I don't think that will be an opption lady dragon." Lady Katryna said. "Many of us are young and in excperienced. I know for the fey we just shifted in power. As for the Dwarves I know you've only been on the throne for a short time." She sighed. "As pithetic as this is going to sound, we will need your help."
Toru was late for the council, no late was an under statement, he was verging on arriving after it finished. However this did not prompt him to walk paste, he merely plodded towards the meeting, hands in his pockets and a grin plastered on his face. He smiled brightly as he finally arrived. "Ya-ho." He interrupted anyone who was speaking and just stood there, oblivious as to how inappropriate everything he had just done was.
Turan and Toragon both jumped, roused from their thoughts.
The Dwarf lord was about to respond to lady Katryna, instead letting out an irritated sigh.
Gurthar nodded "So does anyone have a proposal as to what the groups should be? And how are we to do this when there are other matters at hand? Some things cannot be so lightly ignored"
Toru shuffeled to the side, just standing in the corner, smiling in the way only he could. He gave Turan and Toragon a bow, his grin widening into a toothy smile, his eyes firmly closed. He wasn't sure who was in the room, the voices tended to melt into one after a while and he was far too 'hungry' to use his magic to be able to see.
Roan sighed and rubbed her temples. Some how she knew this was going to come back to haunt her since it ws her idea. "Turan," She whispered, "are we almost done. I'm not feeling so good."
"Very well Malik, the sirens, elves, fey, Roc kingdom, and the dwarves will create a search team to find the God. The rest of you will search for a new piller." Richard said. "Anyone have any problems with the idea?"
Gale said nothing, her eyes followed Toru curiously.
Almost done, your doing fine Roan don't worry about it coming back to haunt you he reassured her I think it is almost done though to answer your original question
Toragon shuddered, he was not terribly fond of shades or Lich, and this room being full of some of the more powerful ones wasn't a great help.
Very well, if no one has any objections you are dismissed. We will reconvene the council in six months." Rishard said as he stood. "However, Roan, Gale, Gurthar, and Malik I'd like you to stay behind."
"What could this be about?" Roan asked out loud. She had no idea what the were Lord would want with her.
Sage stood, and then look around. I am definitely out of place here... He moved to leave the room.
Toru rubbed his hands together as if he had just thought of something ingenius. "Sinister...sinister." He muttered to himself, thinking over what had just been said.
Turan nodded, turning to leave. He heard Toru beware your thoughts young one, for i can hear them as if you speak them aloud he spoke into his mind.
Toragon eyed the Lich lords who spoke in hushed tones no doubt after my blood again he growled to himself before making for the exit.
Toru burst out laughing as he heard Turan. "THAT'S AMAZING!" He looked around, well, moved his head, not being able to see had its weaknesses.
Toragon jumped, startled by Toru, and chiding himself for being so jouvenile.
Turan smiled you cannot see me, and i can remain hidden unless i want you to find me youngling...careful though, you've pissed a Dragon off and that is not a good thing for you
"Rawr." He muttered lowly, somewhat heading Turan's words and lowering his voice. His fingers wriggeled in a thoughtfull manner, he began to wonder about the dragon, they sounded tasty. The shade licked his front teeth.
He would incinerate you before you knew what was happening to you Turan cautioned. Dark laughter filled Toru's mind yes, yes i would....but come now children your mental speak is as loud as a heralds' horn Turan jumped, shooting Toragon a glare.
"He could try, I'm special, everyone loves me." Toru was now wonderibng whether the voices in his head were real or if he was being paranoid. "Maybe im hearing things again." He spoke too loudly, causing a few backwards glances from people not used to his eccentric ways. "But, you sound different."
If you want to infuriate him then by all means continue, but no this time you won't be special...he has no love of shades amusement played across Turan's face as he looked like he was in deep thought.
Torgan conteplated shifting into his true form, and the building energy was causing Malek and Conrad to get nervous.
"But he don't even know me, what kind of meanie judges someone based on such a trivial thing." Toru puffed out his cheeks. "I could spend my free time cooking food for starving orphans for all he knows."
Toragon tensed, memories flooding back from battles and wars fought in secret. His body convulsed, arching back as he seemed to spasm before dissapearing as his body was consumed by fire. A huge Drake formed, fanning his wings as the flames vanished around him. He "Do not trifle with me and pretend that i know nothing of your kind" he growled.
Turan looked on casually i warned you
Toru made an 'Eeeee~' noise, and sort of leapt backwards into the corner, all he could hear was crashing and he hadn't the power right now conjure up an image. He'd have to go on his other senses alone and hope that the dragon was doing a ploy, he doubted he'd have the guts to eat him considering where they were. "Psh, such prejudices even though we're on the same side, you big meanie."
He sent his bladed tale crashing inches from Toru's body, moving so that his snout was close enough to feel the hot breath from his nostrils, a deep growl resonated from his throat "Men have died for less, little shade" his altered voice rumbled.
Gurthar arose, not sure what to say.
Turan smiled at Malik and Conrad, whaching as they backed as far away from the pissed off Dragon as they could.
The breath was a give away how close the dragon was, and he jumped when the tail slammed down, of course. However he continued to smile and refused to react to the Dragons harsh words. "If you plan on trying to get some sort of reaction out of me, I wont." He pouted for a second. "You're just being a bully, maybe you should taste some of your own medicine before forcing it upon others, men have died for less."
Toragon smiled, picking Toru up with the blades of his tale and holding him out "Hmmm, i always wondered how your kind would look dancing around caught on fire, and believe me i'm quite tempted to try it out" the malice and micheif in his eyes danced.
Turan looked up, not sure what to say, weather to feel bad for the shade or laugh at how commical it looked with him being held at tails lengh.
As soon as Toru was eye level his body it dissapeared, wofting away almost like air. "I'm not, that sounds like a rotton idea." Toru was now behind Toragon, waving gayly at him. He's had only a second to swap his body with an illusion clone before being picked up, but he wasn't a moron, and Toragon may have had brute force on his side but his magic was more then strong enough to save his skin.
Gale smiled and her body shifted until she loomed behind Toru, "Be still, shade." She rumbled softly before turning her cold gaze towards Toragon. "Control your temper, you will shame us in front of this council." She flexed her wings and smiled.
He inclined his head, his wings still folded neatly to his sides when he realized that a great patch of his scales still bore what he had at the time fondly reffered to a saddle tan. A brief flicker of sorrow passed his otherwise hauntingly blue eyes before he laid down and wrapped his tail about himself all the same, in all my years fighting the little wretches i never did hang around long enough to whach one be burnt to a crisp...maybe if i catch her....oh..aplogies, i'm thinking aloud he said to gale, his ears pinned against his head in embaressment.
When Richard saw that everyone was gone but Roan, Gale, Gurthar, and Malik he sat back down. "I've called the four of you here for several reasons. However, before we start I'd appreciate if one of you would cast a silence
spell around the perimeter so no one over hears what I'm about to tell you."
Roan swallowed as she stood next to Malek and Gale. She was no where near as powerful as the other three, nor did she have as much influence. To be honest she was scared beyond belief and just wanted to get this over with.
"It is done" Malek whispered.
Gurthar shuddered. The more he was around the shadowseer the more the phrase 'fraud' and 'beguiler' lept out at his senses.
"Very well." Richard looked at all of them before he spoke, seeing Roan as the smallest and most fragile. "You all know of the prophecy spoken long ago by the a woman that the Phoenix god took as a concubine. She was a witch with imence power. Well it seems the it is coming to light. However, much of the prophecy has been forgotten and lost. Not even the gods know of it, trust me i asked them." He rubbed his head. "For the last three months before the gathering of the second Council I want the four of you to go on a search for more information of the prophecy. WE needed to know what is going on, and that is the best chance we have."
"What?" Roan screeched. "Why do you want me to go with them? I'm wont be nearly as much use as they will be." She was flabbergasted.
"But you were the one brought to this world. There was a reason for that. In addition, the Sirens have many resources and being under their protection will keep you safe." Richard told the girl.
Gale inclined her head; acknowledging the assignment before glancing quickly at Roan. "Where is this information thought to be located?"
"There are two places I would start at. One, Amante Island, the place the witch lived for many years. Two, Chamber of Summons in the crystal academy. It is said on the walls one with the witches blood can read the prophesy." Richard said.
Malek nodded "So we are on a scavenger hunt? I'm not entirely sure i follow your meaning...why do you need all of us to look?"
Richard looked at Malik pointedly. "If any of you die I'd like at least someone to come back with some information. In addition, since there are two places I want you to brake into two groups. I don't care how, but each month you must check in with each other." He stood up. "You can all leave now." Walking past him he left the council room.
Gale looked around slowly as she shifted her form back to human, "Does anyone have a preference as to where they want to begin the search?"
"I'd prefer to avoid the chamber if you don't mind." Roan said. She was trying to understand why pick her. She just didn't get it.
Gale nodded thoughtfully, "Very well."
Gurthar looked around the group, trying to figure out a way of excluding Malek and Conrad from Roan's group without being overt.
Roan sighed. "Look we'll just met at the tavern in Phoenix kingdom in three months then decide how we'll handle the groups and everything. For now I'm going to go greet my friends and enjoy what little time I have to relax." She looked at each of them nodded then left the room.
Gale turned to Toragon, "It has been a long time since I've met another dragon." She said cheerfully, looking around at the others, "And a shade."
As 'shade' was mentioned Toru waved gingerly at Gale, hoping from foot to foot. "Pleasure to meet ya missy."
Gale dipped her head in acknowledgement, "And to you the same." She said gravely but then smiled again. "You seem to enjoy provoking those who can kill you."
"No, I was being sincere, not my fault everyone takes what I say the wrong way." Toru pouted for a second and stamped his foot, though quickly regaining his smile. "I just like talking to people, it's fun." He adored the attention really.
Gale chuckled, finding him very amusing, "Its refreshing to meet someone like you. I'm tired of frightened individuals who ask for my help."
"I'm tired of people trying to kill me." He proclaimed loudly, with dramatic hand gestures and everything.
Toragon rested his head inbeteen his front paws "Yes it's been awhile indeed" he said to gale, holding back a snort of of laughter when the shade mentioned his ire at people trying to kill him.
Gale laughed, "This will be very interesting."
"Oh I hope so, I'm so bored, I want to have some fun." Toru flung his arms out, sighing deeply. "Though, obviously not fighting, because like that's how people die and all." He nodded, as if it wasn't the most obvious thing in the world. "Fighting equals bad experiences."
Toragon gave him an odd look and why do i try to understand these things? he thought
Gale laughed, "Fighting is fun though... the best game I can think of!" She chuckled and shot a grin to Toragon.
Toragon's ears unpinned slightly "Especially when one thinks he is the cat but is really the mouse....turning the tables in that fasion...never grown tired of the looks on their faces, but yes....you see little shade fighting does not automatically include dying, though there are times where that often can't be helped....i'd say the greatest form is a gentlman's duel but i'm also quite fond of wreaking pyromaniacal havoc on an unsuspecting enemy" he laughed, though it sound more like a rumble.
"I'll take my chances with not fighting, besdies, I 'aint much of a fighter, too much effort and I always end up getting stuck trying to combat some suspiciously good fighter." He made a looud 'urgh' noise. "Yeah I'll just sit back and be awesome from behind the scenes, I'm not a close combat type, to touchy feely and I like my feely's none touchy." He made no sense, even to himself, and in turn looked confused and began to ponder over what he had just said.
Gale laughed, "I understand what you mean, because I too fight from afar, but still there is no feeling like the tear of flesh between your claws."
"True...." his eyes took on a slightly dreamy look there is something better, but quite honestly i'm left undecided as to if it's worth the price or not he eyed Toru, still obviously half tempted just to torch him and see him dance for a bit made a corrupt magistrate do that after i caught him trying to do something particularly vile to someone i cared for at the time....it's quite settling to see
Toru began to laugh hysterically at Gale's statment.
Toragon looked at the shade before he yawned and stretched his wings.
we still need him... Gale cautioned Toragon and chuckled, Maybe later...
"Oh...." Toru contained his laught. "Now Im hungry." He stared at some random woman who instantly ran away.
Toragon placed a heavy paw down on Toru's feet "If i catch you trying to feed i will not hesitate in burning you to a deep fried crisp..just the way i like it" he said evily "Theives and marauders i could care less about and you'd actually be doing me a favor as they frequently venture to my home....oh how the love of gold is their undoing" he chuckled
All creatures have a right to eat... and why should we deny him the occasional meal? Gale asked privately. She had no great love for humans and her own power gave no importance to life.
Toru leapt back to avoid the force of the hit, he felt the vibrations through the ground so quickly got out of his reach, using the vibrations to locate where he was exactly. "Tinker tailor, soldier sailor..." He snorted and rubbed his hands together, turning it into a stretch as well.
Toragon looked at him darkly "If it is a human, i have no love for them....treacherous little fiends who think they know what it's like to live..." he stopped his out burst mid sentance pinning his ears against his head "Just see to it that i don't see it...i've seen it enough and i've never been able in all my years to whach your kind feed without getting violently sick"
Gale snorted, "I myself have never seen such a thing and would enjoy the experience." She said curiously.
Toru hopped from foot to foot. "Oh, I need to go wander around then." He stared at another person who ran away and sulked, he somehow doubted it would be appreciated if he ate someone in here. He probably needed to head out into the wilderness, maybe find a hunter, all was far when that came into consideration. A hunter becoming the hunted, almost like poetic justice.
Out Of Council
Roan left and walked over to Nady when she saw her talking to MAddy. "Hello Ms. Maddy, I didn't know you would be here." AS she spoke she looked for Turan.
"It's nice to see you both, Roan and Sage. How did the council go? I do hope it went well." Maddy said.
"I think that it went well... I don't know what Evan really thought that I could do involving the meeting...I've spent too much time trying to just live and survive to know much about the politics between the races...." said Sage softly.
Nadya stood up, and straightened out her dress. "How about you Roan?"
Turan had by now grown tired of whaching the dragon, and he was very much hoping for a torched shade...or at the very least a run off Deamon or particular shadowseer. whistful thinking, my my i forgot what a bore politics is.... he thought to himself, deciding he would wait around for Gurthar to come out an talk to him.
Gurthar exited the Meeting circle, seeing Turan stand at a distance from the rest of the crowd and approach him now whatever could he want with me? he braced himself, expecting a fight yet not sure what to do in the event of one.
Turan sensed his unease if i wanted to kill you, we'd be fighting already he reassured i wanted to talk to you about the groups
Gurthar nodded as they took a walk "Then that leads me to this question; how do i avoid Malek and that Deamon getting stuck in the same group, because i'm assuming you want me to protect Roan? One i can handle for a time, but two would see me undone in secounds" he said grimly
Turan shook his head "I won't be there either way, but the only one you have to worry about is the Deamon, the shadowseer is hell bent on finishing what he tried to do all those years ago...that being said you will only have to worry about the Deamon"
Gurthar looked slightly intrigued but said no more "Very well" they parted ways. Gurthar headed off in search of something to do other than fret about what was to come.
Nadya looked away from Roan, and saw Turan and Gurthar. Her eyes followed Gurthar.
The Crusnik said a few farewells to others of his kind before, after ignoring an irritating council member headed for the clearings edge.
Nadya looked at Maddy, she wanted her to come with her, but if she didn't talk to him soon, she didn't know when she would get the chance again. Nadya hurried away from Sage, Maddy, and Roan, and quickly and quietly followed after Gurthar.
He crested a hill, overlooking a river. Noticing it had a tint of red along the shores he alighted gracefully next to the bank. He cast a troubled look down at the water "hmm, i wonder.." he did something peculiar next, letting a blade pass over his arm then dipping the bleeding limb into the water. In this way, by taking the blood into his body he could read the struggles of those who had lost their blood. It took however an imense amount of focus so he was for all intents and purposes blind to all else.
Nadya came up beside him, kneeling on the ground just behind him enough that he couldn't really see her. "Ah....Gurthar....?" she asked softly, starting to reach a hand out to touch him.
A sweet smell filled his senses, drawing him out of his stupor "What can i do for you?" he asked softly. He withdrew his hand from the water, the wound healing in an instant.
"I..." Nadya looked down. "I was talking with Miss Maddy....and she... she suggested that I ask you if you would help train me in using my abilities for fighting....if...if you wanted to that is....I...I don't want to be helpless...I don't want to have to wait for someone to...rescue me..." she said softly.
Maddy Smiled as she saw Nadya walk over to Gurthar. She was sure Nadya could do this o her own and be fine, bt just in case she kept an eye on the two as she turned to Roan. "I was dragged here actually." However, Roan never relplied, instead the girl seemed drawn onto her own world. When maddy took a good look at the girl she saw the exhaustion and weariness in the girl.
Roan felt tired and fagtiged, but knew she wasn't quite done yet for the day; howver when she Turan by himself, she couldn't resist but to go over to him. "Turan." She said quietly.
Gurthar looked at her intently "An interesting thing to ask someone who tried to kill you once, but as to your question...yes i will, i doubt it'd settle well with Conrad and Malek but quite honestly i'm all to willing to spite them in that" he laughed softly.
Turan tore himself from his thoughts at his name being called "Yes Roan?"
"Thank you...I... it was Maddy's idea...." Nadya said bowing her head in thanks. She then looked at him. "Conrad? Malek? I don't know who...they really would be..."
Gurthar smiled softly, drawn slightly as he could smell her blood already "Yes, One of which has tried to kill you and Abarhi once or twice and the other one...Malek, very nearly killed Turan" he shrugged "Conrad i don't think tried to kill you though, i don't think he intended to anyways...he has a she-deamon that is all to eager to please him....which is probably why you've been attacked so brutally" he looked at her "So what is it then that you want to learn? Do you have any abilities of your own besides shifting your age? Which by the way as i'm sure you know can be quite handy"
"I... I can shift into a kitten...and I have telekentics...to move objects with my mind....and yes I know that shifting my age can come in handy.... but for the last century I was only in appearance a child because I was still morning the lost of my family...." she said softly, still kneeling beside him.
"Very well" the form of a human took shape out of the water "Focus on that, using your abilities and try to move it, this is a test of your strengh" he said casually, preparing another figure in his mind to serve as a distraction. He didn't want to overload her immediately, but figured this would be a good place to start to determine just where she stood.
"okay...." Nadya looked at the human shape, and lashed out at it with her mind to move it far from her. She didn't move, just thought of the form being moved far from it's location. The form moved as if knocked by an unseen force.
He brought the secound figure to life, making it become formless and then take multiple forms at the same time around the figure "Alright, now focus on the same target...for ease this time it will be the one with the darker shade of blue, the rest will be lighter in color" he made the differences subtle, testing her as she practiced. His voice was steady and calm, not giving away the amount of concetration it took to maintain the figures.
Nadya scaned the group of figures, looking for what he had said to look for. The differences in color, in shading, it would be like spying for the subtle difference between two people that look very much the same. She lashed out with the force of her mind to move a the figure she believed was the one she had to find.
Roan smiled tiredly up to him. "I missed you." the words just spilled out of her mouth, that was what she had been going to say. "Sorry I ment to say are you ready to go." she mumbled with a blush.
A figure stepped out a splashed Nadya with water "Close, try again" Gurthar said with a smile.
A smile traced the edges of Turan's mouth "Quite so, i'd up until now blissfully forgotten how boring politics can get"
Roan looked at him strangely. "I didn't find that boring at all.I liked it, well except for the threatening part." She sighed. "But I do want to get home. Abarhi is going to be gone for a while, Porter is up to something, so we should just get Nadya."
Nadya nodded at him. "I can do this..." she whispered out loud to herself. She concentrated hard on finding the right figure, and then lashing out at it with her mind, wanting it far from her.
"I don't mind the threatening part, i mind forcing myself to endure what would otherwise be veiwed as an intolerable offense....point in case when that little wolf asked me to barter for that necklace.....like i would barter with him on trivial things over something that took me nearly two hundred years to make....no, it is not likely he would ever be able to gain acess to something that would compel me to give it up" he shrugged "Abarhi is the right one for that, he won't put up with to much as far as antics go" he laughed
Gurthar smiled "You did well, now try to deflect something alittle stronger" he sent a semi solid blast of water at her.
Nadya went wide eyed, and 'eep'ed. She lashed out at the blast of water to block it from hitting her.
He laughed "you startle easily" he said, whaching the blast cascade messily around the two of them "And when you do you over exhert yourself, try to deflect it...not only will that make it easier for you to fight but when you do so messily it leaves you vulnerable to attack"
Nadya looked at him. "I...I'm sorry...and after everything...forgive me for still being scared...it took me sometime during the 100 years that I was alone to get past draining thieves and bandits only in their sleep...." she said softly. "Again...please...."
"Nadya?" roan said as she approched the two training. "Is everything all right. Turan and I are getting ready to leave, are coming with us?"
Gurthar formed another semi solid blast "Remember that this cannot hurt you....getting yourself soaked is the only penalty this time. So long as you deflect and don't destroy it...water rarely ever scatters cleanly" he said softly. He caused the mid sized pillar to lash out at her.
Nadya didn't hear Roan, she throw her mind out to deflect the water. She wanted it to work.
She could feel a strong pressence will the water back into a still form "good, are you ready for more or do you want to end it for today?" he didn't want to push her beyound her limits, though he sensed she had more in her still "You still strike alittle more desperately than you should. Don't try to destroy it, only deflect"
Nadya looked at him. "I just want to be useful... not having to be protected all the time...I want to do more....but Roan....she just call....but I want to do more..."
"Find me when you are ready then" he said gently.
"How will I be able to find you?" Nadya asked softly.
"At the Crystal academy, Ketsuri will relay any messages or attempts to find me. He'll think you're a new victim, which to be honest i've never killed a Vampire by draining them....one or two in self defense but never to feed. At any rate that will ensure i'm found the quickest"
Nadya nodded. "Thank you...for helping me..." she said. "I...hope to train some more....with you..."
He turned towards where the blood had come from upstream "And i you Nadya" he inclined his head before leaving.
Nadya stood up, and quickly mored over to him, and hugged him. "Thank you, Gurthar...." she whispered. "Thank you..."
He supressed a sudden urge to drink her blood. He smiled "Be careful Nadya, and remember for your sake what i told you awhile back" he hugged her in return "Your welcome kid, you're doing fine. See you next time when you're ready"
Nadya pulled back. "I...I remember... I just couldn't help it... you are helping me but you didn't have to...."
"As i told you before, your blood has an appeal to it the likes of which i cannot remember. Perhaps it's your naivety? Kindness? both? to these i have no answer. As to why i have helped you, it is perhaps as much of anything to help you help yourself"
Turan watched Nadya and Gurthar say goodbye, intrigued at the Crusnik as much as he was confused i just need to rest and stop thinking about it he shook his head slightly and smiled.
"Lets go home." Roan said to nadya. Yeling over her sholder she hoped to draw Turan's attnention. "When we get back would you mind cooking something. I've eaten nothing but raw fish for days, and it sucks."
Turan laughed "I thought i smelt something funny on your breath" he teased, he couldn't remember the last time he ate. So focused on uncovering as much of his forgotten past as he could.
Roan looked at him flaberggasted. "Did you seriously just make fun of my breath? Why you..you...you Fish pole." She seethe drawing closer to him. "I'd like to see how'd you far after having to eat that much fish. I think you'd starve your self first."
He gave her an odd look "fish pole?" flames sparked at his finger tips "No, i'd cook it first"
Nadya nodded to Gurthar. "I don't know either... but still thank you... and good bye until we met again...." she said. She smiled softly at him, and then ran off to Roan and Turan. "Turan....Roan..." she said with a smile, running up to them.
Turan smiled "And how are you Nadya?" he looked at Roan awaiting a retort.
"I'm okay....Miss Maddy suggested I train in my abilities....with Gurthar...." Nadya said. "And...earlier I had gone to Rose Manor.... to see my family's graves.... Turan...Roan....how was this meeting? There were so many different races....I've never seen so many different types....I had heard stories from my father..."
Turan sighed "Eventful" he said simply "And yes i would agree with you that i have yet to see so many races in one place together and not at each others throats"
"My father used to say something like that.... he always thought we would all get a long better if we all helpped each other, and not fought.... he would go off some times, and come back with stories....."
"Your dad lived in a semi-turbulent time and i can only imagine the stories he had" Turan mused.
"Arrogent flaming fish lips man." Roan mumbled as she gathered her things. "I'm glad your well, but I really want to get back to th island to get some rest before we start our journy."
"My father would leave for a few days....for some sort of meeting....always saying that my brother would be making those same trips..." Nadya said to Turan. She then looked at Roan, and said, "What Journey??"
"I'll explain when we get home. Sadly I some how got stuck with the short end of the stick." She was tired and felt as if she could pass out were she stood.
Turan nodded "I'm sure, like i said he lived in a very turbulent period of this worlds history" he looked over at Toragon who still was in his full form. He was half tempted to ask the old drake for a ride back to the island.
Nadya nodded. "Turan.... I was alive before the hunts too...." she said. She looked at Roan. "Maybe went everything is done...you can see my old home...see Rose Manor...."
"I don't suppose i could trouble you with the request for a ride Toragon?" Turan said jokingly.
The Dragon raised his head out from between his paws and looked back at him "Do you even know how to ride?" he smiled as Turan looked very taken aback.
"I don't care how we gt there but I want to go home!" Roan demanded; however, she wobbled a bit causing her to have to lean on a tree to hold her wight. "Please."
Toragon nodded "Maybe some other time, i haven't had a rider since the last one almost killed me" a great gust of wind envoloped those around him as he launched himself into the air.
Turan sighed "Well, guess it's the old fasioned way then" he looked at Roan "You alright?" he said as he began walking.
"Roan?" Nadya asked worried.
Roan smiled weakly. "I'm fine just a bit tired." She took a breath and stood staight. She wobbled a bit, but manage to get her balance. "Let's go." She started to walk.
Mady was sad to see them leave but she knew Roan needed rest. "Well sage looks as if it's just you and me. Now were did Marik end up at?" she searched the clearing for him.
Turan headed off on a well trodden road in the direction of deidad island
Nadya followed pulled her cloak close around her.
Sage nodded to Maddy. "Malek?"
"Corus wanted him to come back to Telon Island with us and stay for a bit. I just don't know were that man dis appeared to." She started to walk through the last crowd of people. "Malik, Malik." She kept repeating his name.
He appeared behind her "Yes? my dear you sound like a lost child looking for its' father" his gaudy voice and smiled enough to make anyone laugh.
Sage looked at Malik unsure.
"I hear Corus is making demands again? What's new there? So where to?" his voice became slightly more serious after frightening off anyone who might be listening in.
"Were heading to Telon Island." Maddy said. "He just wants to know how the council went and that I got there safely. After that He'll let you do what you want." Maddy rubbed her head. "Of all the damn islands i hate this one the most."
"Of course, it's the island of the gods my dear she-wolf" he said with a sly smile.
"It sucks either way." Maddy sighed. "We might as well get going."
"So be it" he said dissmisivly walking off towards Telon island
