9 Nov - Day 3. Antwerpen - Breda Part 3
Then I eventually drove to Breda, where I was supposed to meet an Elftowner I'd never seen before in real life, Paulien, alias [
Melocrie]. We'd agreed to meet at the train station in Breda. We both had given each other the description of what we'd be wearing so we can recognize each other easily. Somehow it was not that easy, though, because more than one girl corresponded to the description she had given me, and none of them seemed to recognize me. I waited at the spot we had decided on, looking around and trying to look like I was waiting for somebody I didn't know. I thought I'd recognize Paulien, but as she did't seem to recognize me, I was not that sure... Suddenly some guy I didn't know started taking to me. We switched the conversation to english quickly when I proved myself unable to say anything, nor understand anything in dutch. I wanted to know who I was waiting for. I explained who I was waiting for, and he sort of "walked" me closer to the girl I thought I'd recognized. Then I looked at her, and she looked at me, and I went... "Hello ??". She frowned, looked back at me and said "It's you!?". I answered, "It's you?!", and then we greeted each other ^_^. I'd just met an elftowner in real life.
We chatted a bit, trying to decide what we'd be doing next. Then we tried to fit her bike in my faithful car, but it sort of didn't work, so we gave up for a while and went walking in the town looking for food. I took some pictures of the town at night, especially from the cathedral, as the orange streetlights gave it a mysterious look.

We talked a lot and went to ate some real sandwiches in a good sandwich place, then went back to the car, and tried the whole "I'm gonna fit that bike in the boot" move again. It still didn't fit, So we drove to her home with the boot half open and the front wheel of her bike poking out at the back. We eventually arrived to her flat after a maze of small turning streets crossed by bicycle tracks, we unloaded the bike, and I set foot in the first dutch home of my life ^_^. I liked it, of course, the whole place was really nice, but I must admit I was fascinated by the toilets. -The more I travel, the more I am amazed to discover all those different kinds of toilets. These ones have almost no water in them, and the hole is at the front. Weeeird! Anyway...-
We stayed awake a little bit, playing music (She plays guitar and flute very well, and it's a real pleasure to listen to her), then it was time to sleep, as she had school the following morning.
