Roan entered the clearing slowly. She felt as if everyon's eyes were on her: althogu, she was glad she looked great. {orter had decked her out in a beautifull sea blue gown with silver seashell necklace, and a bracele that was a ring of shell. Her hair csacaded down her back with twine braided into her hair.

Turan found his way to the council easy enough. Abarhi dressed as a body guard, and thus he was unrecognizable behind his ornate battle attire. Turan bore no weapon, and looked every bit the High elf Noble that he was "You are here for other reasons old friend...don't let that cloud your representation. The assasin will show, but let me worry about that" Turan gave a curt nod in reply "Talos said he would be here so i can imagine that he will know what to look for better than i"

Toragon made his way through the conversation circles, his dark red hair tied in a traditional pony tail that hung down well past his shoulders. He bore no armor or weapons, and to many that would appear a sign of stupidity. He hoped beyond all hope that there would be another elder dragon here. He hadn't spoken to any of his kind in quite some time. He spotted Roan, deciding it was someone new to possibly talk to "I haven't seen you here before" his tone was inviting "What is your name?"

Sage came into the council hall, hood down, his cloak parted in a way that others would see that he had no weapons. His pack and intruments safely hidden away outside of the council hall. Sage looked around at the others that were there. He felt unsure of himself here, if not somewhat scared inside though hidding that part. He looked very much as he would, in as best of clothes as he had for a traveling bard.

Startled, Roan turned to face the man who was talking to her. "Why, hello. I'm Roan, the ambassidor for the Sirens." She said, the way Porter had told her to. "However, I'm a bit at a lost to what I'm to do next?" Porter had told her that for a while in the beginning she was to Socialize, then buisness would start at dusk.

"The Sirens send a Human girl to represent themselves? Interesting...i must say though you dressed quite well for the occasion. My name is Toragon" he bowed slightly. The elder dragon looked around, seeing Turan arrive with his body guard Abarhi at his back.

Blushing, Roan looked away from the man. "It's nice to meet you Toragon. " Seeing the man's attention waver from her, Roan turned to see what he was looking at, causing her to still. "Turan." She whispered, quietly.

"So you're familiar with the old Elf?" a note of curiosity touched his tone "He, for the longest time represented the elves at these councils until the last half a century or so....no one is quite sure though i've heard that an assassin's poison got to him....it's mere speculation" he shrugged.

Sage watched all of them from his corner of the hall. He remembered Roan and Turan from the ball earlier, but didn't know them well.

Roan swollowed the lump in her throat before she answered the man. "Yes, I do know him. However, I doubt that he knows anyone here very well. He doesn't remember things very clearly." She tried to calm her breathing as she shifted away from Turan. "He's a kind man." S she shifted she fell foward, putting her arms out to block the fall. However, she thought someone caught her.

Turan picked her up gently "When Porter said she had something in mind for you this was the last thing i expected..." he cut himself off, though not before turning slightly pink at the ears. turning to Toragon "It's been awhile i think since i've seen an elder dragon....welcome" he bowed slightly.

Toragon smiled "I didn't think you would recognize me, in this form...most think i'm an elf with odd colored hair and strange eyes"

Roan stayed quiet in Turan's embrace. Her powers had grown in great amounts, which was why she was able to feel Turan's pain with out flinching. He may have been calmed on the outside, but she knew differently. She closed her eyes and let herself enjoy his warmth before she looked up at him. Memories of his face haunted her from the chamber.

Turan nodded "None the less i think it will be nice to have someone so...versed in life speaking here" he looked down at Roan, realizing he was still holding her "Apologies" he let go lightly, shaking his head in slight embarrassment.

Toragon raised an eyebrow "Me? Speak? Good heavens no. A race such as yours appreciates wisdom...other's...particularly the wer-creatures are highly superstitious...especially since i didn't show up right off the bat as some fire belching, scaled monstrosity" he laughed "No i think i'll sit back, bide my peace though i will say something if i feel the need to"

Roanturned her attention back to the drgon, but never straying far from turan's side. "YOu may have to. Things are in motion in Tyradias, resulting in chaos and panic. Things are chaging and I hav the feeling many people are not going to like it."

Toragon sighed "The young races never take kindly to change, many make war to prevent it only to bring about the very change they oppose"

Turan was about to say something when a cold chill over took him "I know that feeling" he said almost inaudibly. He felt a sharp pain from a wound that he had long forgotten about. The wound from Malek's poisoned weapon. He shook himself free of the unease "Do you think anyone would try to stir up unrest here?" his voice sounded strained.

Malek strode past them, not seeming to notice his intended target.

Toragon gave him an odd look, casting a glare at Malek as he dissapeared into the crowd "So what they say is true then...yes if a shadow assasin is here then i expect trouble...though nothing beyound the usual pettyness" a note of scorn hit his voice.

Sage watched every one. Who did Evan wish him to speak on behalf of? he thought to himself.

Roan stiffened and looked up at Turan as she felt the shuder go through him. AS she did a glipse of a man walking by caught her attention. An instent feeling of mistrust and apprehension was directed at the man. "I get the feeling that there is a lot more going on then what anybody thinks. More than Corus's plan to uproot the gods."

Sage came over to the small group. "Hello..." he said politely, with a nod to all of them.

Toragon leaned over to Roan "That man you got the dark feeling from is the very man who nearly killed Turan, and is the reason why he also has no family, and no memories" He nodded to sage.

Turan eyed Malek as he retreated towards what looked like Conrad and Kaelia.

Kaelia stood beside Conrad as Malek walked over, sizing him up.

Conrad smiled "So....there is still a Shadowseer left alive"

Malek nodded "Worse....i am a death Jester...one who has killed a Shadowseer and sold his soul to..Yes i know what it means" Conrad cut him off with a shiver.

Without ever taking her eyes off Malik, Roan placed a hand on Turan's arm. "He knows something." Roan stated simpley. "I think for now we should keep and eye on him, but make no contact. Theres more to that man then him beng a shadowseer." She slowly turned her attention to Sage. "Hello, it's nice to see you again Sage. I just wish it was under better circumstances."

Turan nodded "He is the reason why i have no memories...of what i don't know, but i know he is the reason for them....either way...he has answers and i have questions"

Abarhi looked at him from behind his helm "Don't do what i think you're going to do...leave it be...there are others who know what he does without having to fight him for it...which you know you will have to do" he said softly in Turan's ear.

Conrad for the first time looked uncomfortable, the presence of the assasin .

The grey wolf sauntered up to the rim of the council "We are hear...don't say anything to the were creatures if we are confronted" he said softly.

"Turan., no." Roan said gripping his arm harder. "Abarhi's right, please don;t do what ever yiu are thinking." Roan pleaded. She knew it would only make things worse. "It'll do more harm to you, and others around you, mentaly and emotional."

Malek heard them yes listen to the little mortal...your family was so easy to kill and you so easy to defeat...don't worry...listen to your little pet for now...there's nothing she, your body guard, or you for that matter can do to stop me from finishing what i should have He turned just enough to see Turan.

Turan made no move outwardly, his emotions though where a chill calm and you have given me all the reason to do whatever i please with you when i defeat you

Malek shuddered visibly, this wasn't the same Elf he had broken all those years ago.

Conrad looked at him nervously "An just what the hell has got you so jittery?" he growled, earning him a venomous glare.

Nadya nodded from under her hood to the grey wolf, staying hidden under her cloak.

Roan turned sharply when felt the presence of someone faamiliar. "Were's NAdya?" Roan asked Turan. "PLease tell me you guys saved her?" With panic Roan searched frantically. "She's not dead, were is she?"

Her outburst made Turan jump. He placed two gentle hands on her shoulders "Yes, she is quite safe...though she isn't with us at the moment...she had something she said she needed to do"

Abarhi sighed, not sure what to do.

The Grey wolf stood rigid as three others approached him "Well lookie here, this one has a rider...come now what's your name? I don't recocgnize your stench. You...Yieaow!" The wolf jumped back, Grey wolf towering over the rest with a chunk of fur in his mouth. He spit it out "Leave us alone" he said cooly as he proceeded towards Turan.

I...are you okay? Nadya asked pulling the cloak around her more.

Quite fine my young little lady....just mongrel politics is all he growled at an obviously adolescent wolf looking to prove himself. He nosed Abarhi.

Abarhi spun, his face was hidden except for his eyes between the saphire blue cowl and black face mask "A wolf with a rider?" he asked softly, not recognizing Nadya in her cloak.

Nadya looked up at Abarhi, hood still up, but her eyes glowed in the darkness under the hood.

Abarhi smiled "Well i see not just any rider"

Nadya nodded, and then slowly slid off of the grey wolf. "Thank you, my friend..." she said softly. She looked back up at Abarhi. "He took me the rest of the way to my distantion before here....."

The wolf nodded, sitting on his haunches next to Turan. He came nearly to the elf's elbow.

Abarhi nodded "Find what you where looking for?"

Nadya looked into his eyes. I went and placed flowers on my family's graves....

glad you where able to do that love...i know how much they mean to you

She smiled up at him, and said, "I am too...." Nadya looked around, and then just walked up to Roan, and hugged her. "Roan...I'm glad you're okay...." she said softly, forgetting her hood was still up.

"Nadya." Roan whispred, her eyes misted. Had this encounter happened before Roan's challange, she would have flung herself into Nadya's arms. However, Roan was more mature then when she first came to Tyrdias. "Am so very glad you are okay." Roan leaned into Turan's warm body. Slowly she reopened her eyes and looked up at Turan. "I knew you wouldn;t fail. I also hope you kept the rest of my letter in mind." Roan's eyes twinckled.

"And which part are we talking about again?" his eyes seemed to shimmer slightly "No i didn't forget" He looked over to where Malek was talking to Conrad and Kaelia. He kept his emotions in check, but his eyes gave him away in that one glance. They seemed at once hell bent on revenge and yet content to wait and leave it be.

"Thank you." Roan said to Turan softy. "Well I'm glad your all safe. It's nice to be with alot of people and be out side." She suddered quietly at the memory of the chamber. "So, Sage what are you here for?"

"I was asked to take another's place on the council...this year..." Sage said politely. "The one I am standing in for has other business to attend to...."

Turan gave her an odd look at the shudder, remembering what it cost him the last time he intruded her thoughts he left it alone. Searching for a spot less crowded, he found an ancient oak that overlooked the place "They look so happy don't they?" Talos said softly, now in his elf form "Yes they do.." Malek appeared in front of him "Think of this as a cordial introduction" he said softly. Turan smiled "I know who you are, and the move is yours to make Shadowseer, but i have other things to do than play your little game" Malek smiled "Oh that move will come....sooner than you think and probably in a way you would both expect and not expect" Turan looked at Roan talking with the rest "She stays out of it" he said firmly "Fair enough, as do all your other friends" Turan smiled "A gentlemans' duel? From an assasin?" Malek laughed, for the first time in an age genuinely "Who said anything about a Duel?" he dissapeared.

Talos shook his head "They ways of the lost races...both so familiar and so foreign"

Walking over to Turan infurated, Roan narrowed her eyes."What do you think your doing!?" Her anger was evident. "I thought we agreed to leave this alone!" There was things Turan didn;t know, and did't need to know at the moment. Not untill the ceremony began or was over. "You will not, must not fight him. He will win!"

Nadya hurried over to where Turan, Talos, and Roan were at. "What's wrong? Who was he?"

Sage watched, not knowing what to do. He moved over to a chair by another wall, and sat down in it.

Turan looked at her "I did not approach him, he came to me" he stated flatly "As to what i am doing here, there are fewer people here and it's quieter" his voice became slightly irritated.

Abarhi whached from afar you would do well not to intrude on that particular matter Roan....it hits home far closer than what you could imagine....i'm surprised he's talking to you about it even at all and not simply just shutting down he cautioned.

Talos sighed "Well this is when i say farewell....i have other things to attend to"

Toragon looked at Abarhi "I would think that you would understand humans better"

Roan sent a quick glare at Abarhi, she felt his irritation at her. "I understand your pain, trust me I do." He had no idea how she felt his anger, saddness and confusion. "Please. Even if he did approach you. He is envoled with the Gods, that's not something you can deal with. Not even I can, not yet." She had a glint of determination in her eyes.

"And one of my closest friends is the reason why the god is caged. Malek is not involved with the gods...he's a shadowseer, he sold his soul to a Deamon. I don't intend to fight him, the time for that has yet to come" Turan said dissmisivly, clearly not caring a wink in the world about death and fate.

Abarhi nodded "No, i never socialize much with mortal ilk unless my destination takes me there"

Toragon laughed "You talk of Mortals as if they are inferior, and you speak of desitination as if it something grand. Know this Abarhi....fate is a cruel thing, and there will come a day when mortal man, not elves will rule this land and you shall be but a shadow"

Abarhi looked at him with irritation "You set yourself apart? What are you a shade?"

Toragon smiled "No...i'm a dragon" he said softly.

Roan could have agrued, but now was not the time, and he didn't need to know everything. "Okay." She would just have to keep an eye on him. "A dragon?" Roan said turning her attiention to Toragon. "I don;t see any fire breathing, scaley beast."

Toragon eyed her "Does this suit you better?" He transformed into a bronze scaled Drake, his wings kept to his side. He whached the others around him reguard him with caution.

Malek looked nervously "Well this could be a problem" he whispered to Conrad, both of whom where now clear on the other side of the clearing.

Kealynn looked on from Conrad's side, eyes wide.

Nadya looked at Toragon. "Oh...pretty..." she said softly, pushing back her hood, allowing her hair to fall around her shoulders.

Sage just stared, for he had never seen a dragon.

Toragon sighed perhaps this was a bit premature? I'm begining to see why the others refer to me as ecentric He tucked his feet under him. His dark wings folded neatly to his side.

Abrahi shook his head Perhaps it was...but i think the shock value will keep the mischeif in check for the time being

Roan gazed up with wonder, "It's so pretty." was all she was able to say. "Turan, can you turn into something like that?" She hoped he could, it'd be awesome if she could sit there and coo at him.

Turan stiffled a laugh "No, I'm a high elf not a Dragon...though i'd be curious to know how this one managed to look like an elf"

Toragon eyed him "Ever heard of Dragon magic? All dragons can do this, keeps us one step ahead of those damned dragon hunters"

"Dragon hunters?" Roan question, "Why would anyone want to kill your kind? From what I've seen, keep in mind I've only met two of you, your race is wise and can offer much."

"Quite simple really; Immortality. A Dragon's blood....or even rarer a Dragons love will make a mortal Immortal, never dying of disease. Only in war . As far as i'm concerned go fall in love with a high elf, become a Vampire or get involved in witch craft...but no...Elves are snobs, Vampirism is seen by many as more of a curse...though i don't see why i prefer the night over day...though dawn an sunset are nice. An shades....don't get me started on shades and witch craft" His deep voice rumbled.

The last one caught Roan's interest. "What's wrong with witch craft?" She asked.

"Because to do so you prolong your life well beyond normal, not to mention it usually involves some ritualistic pact with a Demon or a sacrifice...to which Dragon blood is often required"

Roan tucked that piece of info in her mind for later. From what she learned in the chamber was her powers were that of a witch. As she pondered she suddenly felt the intrusion into her mind. She looked up at Turan, but it wasn't him. She looked around, but noticed nothing to tell her who it was.

"Elemental powers are different than sorcery. One is a gift, the other is more or less a pact made in exchange for those powers"

Turan thought to himself i don't remember when the last time i'v even seen a Dragon....

Abarhi sighed, looking around and wondering when the Council would begin most likely not for some time now that Toragon has made himself known

Child... Roan' eyes almost buldged when she heard the voice in her head, because it was that of the chambers, causing her to squeak.  Hush now and listen. Roan gulped, but calmed herself. Tonight one of the elders will try to make an alliance with the Sirens, and Porter told you to except it I'm sure, but you must not. Roan searched for Turan's hand and squeezed it as she listened. Faith as been put into your hands tonight and for this council meeting. Listen carefully and remember that you choose your own path.

Turan looked at her, sensing the disquiet, turning his thoughts instead to Malek and what the appearance of one the oldest of the Elder dragons meant.

Challenges of your birth, powers, and heart will be tested. I give you might strength and ask for your forgiveness. And with that the voice left Roan's head, but to another it went.

Protect her The voice said to Turan. She is more important to this land than anyone, even you think. And old elf beware

Nadya looked at the dragon, at Toragon. "I..." She didn't see being a vampire as a curse.... though with so many more around that were created than born, she could see why it was a curse. I age... but choose not to.... she thought.

The Dragon dipped his head "Apologies, i meant no offense young one....the issue of Dragon hunting...eh, it hits close to home"

Turan raised an eyebrow at the voice My part in life is her protection, and once she has completed her task i will see to it that she is returned to her world. I know i cannot grasp her importance entirely, but i do understand it. I care little if i live or die, most of my life is a shroud and that which i do know i'd give anything to have back....and yet a part of me knows that if things had remained such than i would have been content to ignore most anything

Abarhi looked at him You make a lousy liar to whomever you're talking to..... he stopped as soon as Turan shot him a glare At least you where honest about that last bit

The vioce laughed mockingly, and what if this was home. The wind shifted and breezed through the air, You jest old, Elf. When all this is over and done she will have two choices: die or remain in Tyradias, the place of her birth. Oh and one more thing, for her to succeed you have to live. The heart is a funny thing With one more laugh the person behind the voice left.

Roan was disoriented as she tryed to remove the fog that was left in her brian, when she finally did she noriced a man stanging on a stool. "The Council will begin in ten minutes. Remember the only ones allowed to enter the Council Chambers will be the representatives." the man said.

Turan laughed bitterly in his mind So....it is as i thought. Tell me then what the vision that has been haunting me means if it pleases you; Every night i wake from a vision of fire, dark laughter and the land wreathed in fire....there is a darker vision still but this one comes to mind whenever i bend my mind to the task at hand. Is this what might happen should she fail?

Nothing but silence answered him.

Sage looked towards the man that had spoken of the Council, and then walked towards where the man had indicated that the chamber was.

"Turan." Roan whispered grabing for his hand. "WE are about to begin. I have to go becaue I'm a stand in for Porter, but could you do me a favor if you're not a representative?"

"I am a representative, but i'll still do what i can" Turan said softly.

Toragon sighed, returning to his Elven form "I miss the days when i didn't have to use this form.....the benifits and pleasures it offers i tired quickly of" a note of bitterness touched his voice.

Abarhi looked at him "Such is the tale of an Elder Dragon though......but you let on to probably more than what you intend ancient one....be careful, there are many even here who would seek the rewards you can offer...willingly or otherwise"

Roan felt a bit of relief knowing he would be in there with her. "Abarhi, maybe oyou could do it. I need to inform Porter about a little change in plans."

Sitting as far away from the group pf people that was possable, Maddy was slumpt against a tree. "I'm going to kill that damn man." She mumbled, refering to Corus. "If my father sees I'm here..."

Nadya moved off to a nearby tree. She knew that she wasn't a representative, so she had nothing to do but wait. She looked over towards Maddy. "Ah...Hi..." she said softly.

Blinking maddy looked at the vioce wo drew her out of the images of violence she was picturin. "Hello, do I know you?

Abarhi looked loathe to leave Turan's side "I think i can shirk my baby sitting duties for once...what would you like me to tell her?"

Turan cocked an eyebrow at him, Abarhi was not terribly fond of Sirens, but there was plenty good reason for that.

"Inform her that the treaty she wanted me to make isn't going to happen." Sighing and thinking roan leaned on Turan. "Tell her I'm following the voice. She'll know what I mean." Roan said the last part bitterly.

"Very well" Abarhi muttered something about his distaste for Sirens "And where might i find her?....or must i play a Sirens game to do so?"

Turan nearly snorted "I thought you figured out already that you had been hoodwinked into that....and for the record that was not my idea, and you chose to go ahead with it" he wondered to himself at Roan, again thinking better of it to ask.

Abarhi shot him a look "i had a feeling...." he sighed

Roan raised an eyebrow, "do I want to know what your talking about?" She asked then thought about it. "Explain. This peeks my interest."

Nadya shook her head at Maddy. "No... I don't know you...nor you I.... but I thought as it looks like we can't go in there... that I'd say hi.... give us someone to talk to...." she said softly.

"In my defense i was only 100" Abarhi turned red around the ears.

Turan smiled "Yes, well then i'll tell her since you won't. Abarhi wanted to impress an elf maiden he had taken an interest to...an her him, so he found his group of friends and asked them. They told him that the way to win her heart was with a gem found almost exclusively in a cave known to be inhabited by younger Sirens....well he tried it, and well he ended up finding a Dragon's cave...not knowing so he entered. Seeing three seemingly mute Sirens he took both them and the gem from the top of the Dragon's hoard...long story short he was lured into the cave by the sirens who knew how to charm without sound, and chased out by an enraged Dragon"

Roan tried to stiffle a giggled, but failed. "I wish I could say that I didn;t believe it, but Sirens are quite annoying in their myschievious ways. Any way she should be at the in in the roc kingdom." She wasn't going to tell me.

"Yes, they knew how to sing, but only mentally so that only the intended target could here....at least you weren't fighting both" Turan laughed "Oh and i suppose it wouldn't help it if i told you i have a bracelet made of the very same stones?"

Abarhi glowered "No, no it wouldn't....but i suppose we wouldn't have met if it hadn't been for your damned suggestion"

Maddy smiled up at the girl. "That would be nice. Plus this way no one would want to come up and talk to me." Maddy patted the spot next to her. "You can sit here if you wish."

Roan couldn't stop the laugh now, it splilled out of her. "Hey at least you came out alive." She smiled up at Turan. "You've probably gotten him in more than enough trouble." She said with a twinkle in her eyes. "I wish I didn;t have to speed this along, but it's important you get this to her soon."

Nadya smiled softly, and moved over to Maddy's side. "Thank you...." she said as she sat down. I have friends that are here for this meeting... which is why I am here..."

"Ah, the things you hav to do for those you care about." Maddy said motherly. "I know that feeling well. I, on the other hand, would rather be in a pit of snakes, not that this is much different. "

"Why?" she asked, looking up at Maddy.

Abarhi nodded to Roan "Yes of course, and you Turan owe me at least a glimpse of that bracelet...it must be quite spectacular" he dissappeared.

Turan smiled softly "Perhaps one of my greatest artistic achievments....and yet i never got the chance to present it..." he said almost to himself.

"I'd love to see the bracelet too. However, get going the council is about to start." Ron said, and she was right. The man came out an anounced the begining of the council.

"All those aoart of the council follow me. Others wait here." Into a secret place they went.

Sage followed all those of the council into the meeting camber.

Nadya watched as Roan and Turan left.

Turan nodded "If you want when we get a chance to return to the island i will show it to you...i only recently found it in light of all that's been made clear to me"

"Maddy sighed a breathe of relief as the council started. "To answer your question, there are people here I do not wish for them to know I am here. It could get quite messy. What of yourself? I know you have friebds here, but you seem a bit tense."

"So many things have happened to be since I've met the ones I call friends.... I didn't have friends before because of the hunt... because of what I am....also... I had been kidnapped a few times by Daemons wishing to use me and the threat of harming me to hurt the one I love...."

"I'm very sorry, I know what it's like. I've been kidnapped, watched my family and friends die, and treatened." Maddy leaned on the tree and let the wind blow through her hair. "Some times life is hard, but you always met new people to fill the voids."

"That is true... but even now.... I am still hunted...a hunt that is to be the elimination of my people...what is left of them anyways...." Nadya said softly. "Some times....I just feel so small....I sent most of my life looking as if I was eternally a young child.... just so that my mother would also smile... I was her little girl....my father enjoyed it too...and my brother.... my brother was always my knight...I need not have any worries..... but when the hunts started.....the hunts started by a King of Gryffin Kingdom.... I was left alone....it's been hard all the changes that have been happening... but I hide it.... for my friends...." Nadya said.

Roan looked at Turan as she walked. "I'd love to see when we get back. Honestly I miss the Island. Crystal academy isn;t the same, nor do i feel as safe."

"The Island is safe because i more or less turned it into a fortress, complete with a variety of wards not to mention all the elves that live there keep all the local miscreants away for the most part...haven't as of yet had to deal with coastal raiders though" he smiled "I think you would like it....the stones are multie fauceted, no two are the same and they each reflect a different set of a thousand colors and yet no real color at all"

"Wow," Roan said then turned to look at the place thecouncil was going to take place. IT was a huge clearing with a long table of stone in the center, with several chairs, which many were all ready taken. The name of species were engraved on the chair. Roan tokk the set with the word Siren and was thankfull that Turan was next to her.

"That is both the power and mystery of the drake stones" he smiled "Excuse me did you say Drake...stone?" an irritating representative piped up "I did" Turan replied evenly "Excelent then you wouldn't mind bargening for it then?" Turan raised an eyebrow "What for a minute makes you think i would bestow such a gift to you?" he had taken on the air of a high elf now. "Come now no need to be testy, but it is well known that most of those stone have been found well within the borders of my people" Turan found this amusing "Even a blood stone? No you are quite mistaken young pup" The wolf curled back his teeth "Those stones are quite valuable...and you say i have no claim over what has been in my territory?" Turan glared at him "all the same it is not something i would dream of bargening nor is it yours to have, i know you have fought wars for this stone and seek it as a prize of passage yet that means very little to me" The wolf looked taken aback by Turans' ability to read his mind "Yes i can read your thoughts, they are quite irritating and you know which ones i'm talking about" Turan said in an irritated tone. The wolf didn't reply, simply turning back in his seat and facing the rest.

"Turan." A waring was in Roan's voice. "Try not to irrate all the council members."

"Welcome." A muscle man said at the end of the table. "I'm Lord Richard, alpha of the wolves. Many matters are needed to be discussed today., but before we do several rules must be established." He looked every member in the eye as he spoke. "Number one, no powers are allowed to be used. Two, killing is forbiden. Three, if you wish to speak hit the bell in fron of you. Lastly, do not under any circumstances bespell any other member. Now the first order of buisness we should discusse is the matter of the missing Ric God. Whi would like to begin."

Turan tolled the bell in front of him "I know that he has a son, and that his son is amoung the reasons why he has dissappeared"

Lady Titania, the Queen of Fey, rang her bell. "How is the son envolved, and why is he not here? With out the Roc God things are falling apart in Tyradias. We need to start thinking about finding replacement pillars if the god can not be saved befoer the world dies." Her pure blonde hair was flicked back by her slender hands.

Gurthar hit his bell "He is not here because he is not entirely responsible, though he was provoked into aiding the culprit"

Malek shot Gurthar a warning glare, the Roc god had made it clear he did not want his son revealed if it could be helped.

Roan pondered, then hit her bell. "The gods are pillars to the world, so can't his son, The Roc god's, temorarity be a pillar? They have a connection throught blood, so he might be able to sustain for a bit. However, either Roc godd needs to be saved or a new piller does need to be found."

A Lich lord by the name of Melandaros arose, tolling his bell though it sounded like something prounouncing doom "Why not bind up the magic of the Deamons? Use wards and runes to remake a new pillar?" his laboured voice rasped "Even better, if we could sacrifice the Roc gods' son which i doubt the god would object to, it would render the pillar nigh unbreakable"

Turan did his best not recoil from the lich lord as foul visions assailed his mind.

Sage just sat in his seat, quiet. He was here in Evan's place, but knew nothing of any of this. He had hidden himself away to protect himself after all.

Toragon rang his bell as he spoke "You would invite the very energies many labor to stay from this realm? Nay you would bring dissaster down upon us!"

Conrad arose "This coming from an Elder Dragon, distant and aloof from the toils of everyday life. Nay, the Elves knew all along and yet they gave harbor to him, they knew he was the son of the Roc god and they still aided him"

Turan recognized Conrad and Malek oh no... he thought to himself "The Son can be used in the father's stead if it need be, but he is not the culprit. The Roc god made many an enemy before his dissapearance"

Lady Katryna, the banchee, rang her bell. "It is true we know nothing of who kidnapped the Roc god, but death is not the answer. If we used Violence as a piller the world would be in chaos. I agree with the girl, "she was refering to Roan. "For now let the son substatue for his father; although, there should be a time limit. If the Roc god is not found within a certain time frame then new Pillars will be chosen to take over."

Toragon rang his "And how do you propose doing that Lady Katryna? But i think before we talk about replacing the Roc god we should discuss finding him"

"This coming from a pseudo Dragon" Malek goaded.

Toragon Turned to him "One would think you would know better, but come as the gods' representative Shadowseer, you must have some inkling as to what might be done"

The Lich lord as well as many others turned to Malek, who merely smiled "The god was caged as i said before by an elf...let them pay the price" grunts of approval could be heard from some.

Turan took a seat rather than respond.

Roan sighed and un attentionally went to place her hand on Turan's under the table. She couldn't understand why the Lich was so hell bent to blame the elves.

"We all seem to be in an agreement to finding the Roc god first, so we'll push the idea of replacing the pillar back." Lord Richard leaned back in his seat as he spoke. "Does anyone have any idea's to were the god could be?"

"Who has the most to....gain for chaos reigning the world?" Sage asked.

Toragon nodded "Certainly not the Servant of the gods, but ye the Lich would"

"So the Lich, you say would gain in the chaos that would happen? What of any one else...? What say you Lich Lord?" Sage said. "What say any of you...? Has any of you heard rumors of building armies readying for battle....or anything of the sort?"

The seat where the currect vampire lord or lady sat empty in the council room.

Roan bolted up, "Do not start condeming each other. It'll ony cause more problems. Every person here would have something to gain, an enemy to put the blame on. The angle we should look at is who would be effect the less if a pillar suddenly disappeared."

A noble Dwarf lord rang the bell in front of him "Yes young girl, but i hate to say it and my dear elf you must agree that your kind stands to come out alright either way....your wards of protection and i've been told that your kind prepares for things like this" his deep voice resounded around the table "The drums of war do sound, but as of yet only in threat" he warned

Turan nodded "What would you have me do? Sar-runemelder? No we do not prepare for one of the very pillars to come undone, but yes there are places that which we have crafted that are well prepared for such a thing"

"And yet you keep them to yourselves" Conrad challenged "There are people who would readily fight for the protection offered by said things High elf, and i'm not advocating war but yes as the venrable dwarf said...you stand to gain the most either way"

The Dwarf shot a look of apology towards Turan.

Gurthar contemplated saying something, as did Toragon. Both decided against it.

Sage rang the bell, and looking at Roan said. "I did not mean to seem to be putting blame... but should we be also questioning the absense of one of the council? THis is the first I have been to... but I don't think all can be decided when not all are here..."

"Ignorance has led to that absence my dear boy just as it shall lead to many more if we do not lay aside our grievances" Turan said slowly and clearly "A new pillar must be found, of that there can be no doubt, the only thing left to debate then is how to get it, or where to find the missing one" He knew he would be targeted after this meeting, he could already here the boiling thoughts of those who had been denied a long desired whitch hunt.

Sage looked at Turan. "Ignorance...? Or murder? That there is the seat of the Vampire Lord... even I know of the hunt that aimed to wipe the world clean of vampires...born or made...who is to say that other races are not next...? Nor who is to say that the destruction of each race is not part of this.... But I do agree that a new pillar must be found if we are to save this world from untold chaos...."

"Your king is amoung the more radical, but Men where ever known for such things. That being said...."

"So you would have us wage a war on man? Have you lost your mind? Mine as well invite chaos in...men are two strong" a young dwarf piped "If a war on the elves much like that which was perpetrated against the Vampires is needed, what's to say they are more important than us?!"

Turan stood agahst that a Dwarf, many of whom were close allies of his, would suggest this.

Conrad looked up "The Vampires where destroyed because they where growing to powerful, well i say the elves have reached that an then some!"

"It is an elf maid who bore the son of the Roc god, who in turn aided in caging him which has brought all this upon us!" Malek added fuel to the fire.

Sage shook his head. "My king? I have not true king for which to answer to... I am here in the place of Prince Evan... as a favor to him... I trust only one person truly.... and it is not of this Man's kingdom.... And on Who's opinion was it that the Vampires were growing too strong? I can easily say that the Daemons or the Shades have grown too strong.... though I don't have Real Facts to back it...." Sage was going to lose it soon, his heart was racing so.

There was a strong gust of wind as a slender dragon landed at the edge of the clearing. Gale's snowy white scales glistened as she walked carefully towards Toragon and bowed her head in greeting.
