Counter Magic (+50 Strength)

Counter magic is used to fight opponents by stopping their spells from having any affect (or at least not any negative affect on the counter mage). 

Spells

Quick Counter: Required Ranks: 5; Energy: 25; Range: 15L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell with strength up to 50 from taking affect. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +50 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.

Envelop Spell: Required Ranks: 10; Energy: 30; Range: 15L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell with strength up to 50p+ from taking affect for 5p+ rounds. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +5 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.

Power Dispersal: Required Ranks: 10; Energy: 20; Range: 15L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell taking affect unless the opponent pays 10p+ extra energy. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +10 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.

Counter Spell III: Required Ranks: 15; Energy: 40; Range: 20L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell with strength up to 100 from taking affect. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +15 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.

Counter with Recall Prevention: Required Ranks: 25; Energy: 35; Range: 15L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell with strength up to 75p+ from taking affect. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +5 bonus to sequence when trying to do so. If this spell is cast successfully the caster of the spell that was countered can’t remember how to cast that spell for 1 hour.

Encase Spell: Required Ranks: 25; Energy: 40; Range: 20L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell with strength up to 75p+ from taking affect for 5p+ hours. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +10 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.

Spell Turning: Required Ranks: 30; Energy: 35; Range: 20L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Changes an opponent’s spell with strength up to 50p+ target to the opponent him/herself. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +10 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.

Absorb Spell: Required Ranks: 30; Energy: 30; Range: 15L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell with strength up to 50p+ that targets the caster of this spell from taking affect. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +10 bonus to sequence when trying to do so. If this spell takes affect then its caster adds the energy used to cast the other spell to his magic strength score.

Power Drain: Required Ranks: 35; Energy: 30; Range: 20L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents an opponent’s spell taking affect unless the opponent pays 30p+ extra energy. The opponent must pay this extra cost even if he/she doesn’t have the energy needed to do so. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +15 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.

Master Counter Spell: Required Ranks: 40; Energy: 45; Range: 20L; Casting Time: 1 action
-Prevents any spell from taking affect. Caster must interrupt the opponent’s turn to cast this spell effectively, but receives a +20 bonus to sequence when trying to do so.
