The command post is high in the stadium in what was once the booth seating, and where all the paladins revive there missions. a massive amounpaper. ommunication equipment, and broadcasting equipment as well as the placement as the most defenssecurity leak we woulkdtion in the stadium made it a logical choice for the command post.

Cane walked into the command post entrance, and made his way to the desk. "We need to fix that damn elevator. I'm getting to old for the climb up the stairs every time I have to come here." He told Freya as he made his way to a bulitan board as the Head Paladin was talking to a Scribe at a desk in the middle of the room.

"Freya. What are you doing up here?" Paladin Rayner asked as he finished his heated discussion with the scribe. His power armor was and old Mk.1 set. As he moved across the room the joint points creaked with every step, and the sound of someone in full plate armor filled the room. In the CP the head Paladin only wore his plasma pistol on one hip and sword on the other. "I though you were not going to go out until next week?"

Freya couldn't help but wonder what he was still doing going out on missions if he was too old for some stairs, but she kept that thought to herself. She shrugged in response to her father's question, "He said he was taking me out today." her mother hadnt seemed worried about it.

"look here, Cane is a bit jaded... That being said he is an amassing Paladin. Learn from him, and try not to get yourself hurt. The world outside the walls is a very different place... OH! and don't drink any untreated water." Rayner smiled at his daughter. "An remember... you represent the brotherhood. So don't do anything I wouldn't." The head Paladin looked his daughter over one last time, and then gave her a hug with little warning.

"well you got soft in you old age." Cane came over holding three pieces of paper. "we got a long day ahead of us kid, you sure your ready for this?" cane seemed more relaxed than he was down stairs as he read the papers.

"I know father, I know." Freya said, barely resisting the urge to roll her eyes. She made a quiet 'oof' sound when he hugged her and hugged him back, "I love you, dad, I'll be fine." She turned to Cane and an smiled, "Definately." she said, barely keeping the excitement from her voice

"oh go day Roland, how dose siting around the CP find you?" Cane asked the head Paladin. speaking as if they had been friends for years, but there was at least a twenty year age gap between them. "I'll see to it no I'll happens to your doughter." for the hole conversation Cane never looked up.

"Oh my the Wolf. I would say I am surprised to see you here, but I requested you take Freya on her first outing." Rayner paused and smiled. "You mean you will keep her as safe as she keeps her self right?" he asked a bit pushy. "As safe as you ever keep me."

Freya looked between the two men, a mildly puzzled look on her face.

"Head palian we need you in the operation center." A young palidan out of his armor informed Roland.

"Oh yes. I understand." Roland then she we'd away the young man and looked to the two of them. "Just so you know cane I wanted to take my daughter out on her first mission, but the new Intel on the mutant threat has me stuck here." He then looked to his daughter. "Stay safe little one. This sorry excuse for a secure palidan has saved my life more than I can count. So listwnnto him, and we will discuss how it all went at dinner." With that Roland went with the young man who beckons him.

"Oh Roland... The years have changed you for the worse." Cane said to himself but loud enough for Freya to hear. He then shook his head and handed Freya the two papers. "Memorize those, then eat them." He said casually.

Freya nodded to her father. She hadn't known that he had wanted to take her himself, but now she felt disappointed that he wasn't, "I understand, father. I'll see you at dinner." She gave Cane a sharp look when he said something about her father. She didn't always agree with her father, but she didn't like to hear people talk badly about him...ever. She took the papers, "Eat them?" she asked, "Why would I eat them?" they were still in the CP, Why wouldn't she just have them destroyed like the rest of the sensitive documents?

Cane looked at her quizacly. Then remembered. "Well. You need to eat them, because we have a leak. The documents your holding detale two important missions for the brotherhood. The first is a distress call from a civy hab in the cuty. Its under reader attack, the second is to recone a power station just outside the city. We want to know why its online after the brotherhood scrubs cubed it destroyed beyond repair." Cane possed. "Just give them back and I'll eat them if you won't." The look on his face said this might be a test.

She shrugged and read the pages, comitting them to memory. When she was finished, she looked around, making sure there was nothing too close. She then pulled a lighter out of her pocket and caught the botom of the page. When only the corner where she held it was unburnt she set the burning paper on the cement floor and stamped it out.

"Wah! What the hell?!" A scribe enichate ran and grabbed a fire extungisher. As he funaly got the can he ran back and saw the remains of the paper. "Why? What part of that was responcble?"

"Fuck off scribeling. If you ass holes didnt have a secuirty breach we wouldn't have to take such extream mesures to keep Brotherhood sercets safe." Cane smiled at Freya approvoingly. "Good thinking. Ready to go?"

"The part where I made sure there was nothing in this space but cement floor." Freya told the scribe pleasantly. She turned to Cane, a smirk on her lips, "Ready." she told him with a nod.

Cane smiled and took Freya to the gate and out into the Denver, Free City
