That afternoon...

Melody grumbled incohrently, walking down the now filled streets of the main town. She sighed, pushing her way past the crowd, and into the woods again. She sat herself down on a rock, and looked ahead, shifting slightly in her seat,"I really should drop being such a loud mouth..." she said, the loatheful conflict of earlier that day replaying in her head again. Melody grimaced, and began talking to herself,"I guess it's because I want others to see me as a smart ass..." she leaned back slightly,"But...why for them...Some sadistic angel and a vampire...?"

"Talking to oneself is a sign of insanity," Morgan stood behind Melody, leaning on a tree.

"Hm?" Melody turned to Morgan, and gave her a look of disdain,"Oh. It's you." she sighed,"Yeah, I know...but you never know, it could be because I am insane."

"Well, " she scoffed "You don't have to make it obvious," she shook her head, walking to stand in front of Melody "Anyways, I was just talking with that angelic friend of ours,"

Melody blinked at her,"Who, Dimitri?" she asked, shifting in her spot again,"And angelic would be the last thing I'd use to describe him..."

"Why?... too sadistic for you, my simple minded friend?" she smirked, leaning against a tree.

Melody shot Morgan a look,"Perhaps...erm..." she looked to her feet,"What of Dimitri...is he okay?"

"He's brooding," Morgan shrugged "... ... if you care so much, go talk to him yourself. Gaide! I'm like a messenger girl or something..."

Melody laughed slightly, and hopped off of the rock,"I think I will." she said, begginning to walk away. She stopped, and turned to Morgan,"Oh, and if you're looking for your boyfriend- he's probably at his quarters...Kaine wouldn't risk getting metled out here." she said beginning to walk again. Aye, but she stopped again,"Erm...where is Dimitri?"

"Ah..." Morgan stalked up to Melody, looking at her hair and stroking a strand of it "Where do you think he is?"

Melody gave her a weird looked, and snatched her hair back,"God, I don't know...it's not like I stalk him at night or anything..."

Morgan smirked, running her fingers through her own hair "Of course... well he's in a tree," she gestured to the woods around them "Narrow it down yourself, I'm going to find Kaine," she smiled, staying in her place casually as if waiting for Melody to leave first.

Melody sighed, and gave a dismissive wave," 'Kay...um...see you around." she blinked, and ran off into the forest in search of Dimitri.

"...gah, this thing is so old..." Kaine gave a loathing look to his ancestor's (who was suprisingly once human) cellphon, and threw it against his apartment floor. He sighed, running his fingers through his hair, looking at the curtained window,"Glory..."

"Hey blood-sucker!" Morgan called from the ground outside his window.

Kaine blinked, and his ears twitched slightly. He got up, and grabbed a cloak from his couch, and slipped it on. Sighing, he opened the window, and cringed at the light slightlly, looking down the Morgan, hood shaowind over his features. Smirking, he opened the window, not daring to put a finger outside,"What now, Morgan?!"

"Can I come up?" she repeated her question that she had asked Dimitri just hours before. He didn't need to know that though.

Kaine nodded,"Yeah," he replied simply,"But be quick. I don't want any light- GAH!!" Kaine snatched his hand back, as a glimpse of light hit his skin, and siszzled slightly. He bit his lip, and sighed,"Come on up..." he gave a final smile, and closed the window.

Morgan shook her head, sighing "Whatever..." she came around the front of the building and in the door.

Kaine walked over to his door, and waited for the sound of Morgan's foosteps.

Melody's footsteps distorted the forest's usual and natural peace, as she paced around, sniffing the air for Dimitri's scent,"Agh, come on, how hard is it to find a sadistic smart-ass with wings..." she muttured, looking around,"Dimitriii!!"

Dimitri opened one eye wearily, immediately recognizing the voice; if not for the fact she was always yelling at him but for the fact that he was carving his brain trying to find out where he recognized. Sighing loudly, he wished desperately for a ciggarette; then he soon realized he had given up smoking many years ago... he sighed again.

"I miss my smokes..." he mumbled, mildly disgusted that he had a senti-mental value with them. "and my books..." he achingly missed his books if anything else; books were his passion, his love, his solitude... and he hadn't read one of his own, that he had bought with his own money, in hundreds of years.

He mused, depressed, on this for a while. Once again delving into his thoughts in a vain hope that he could find out where he recognized that voice from... he did remember one phrase; but it wasn't from the voice he recognized. It was from a different, less youthful one; one stained with grief and anguish, mingled with the sound of the rain...

'I'm sorry Dimitri...'

His brows furrowed angrily. God, he had been so much more tranquil and peaceful before this stupid war started... He twitched a wing irritably, silently cursing Morgan's soul to Hell... Until he realized it already was.

"Mingled with the rain... rain..." why was that word so damn familiar?! "...Rain..." he bit his lip so hard a wave of pain broke him from his thoughts and he sat erect. He sighed and looked around, nursing his lip gingerly. He vaguely remembered Melody calling and tearing his mind from past events, answered.

"WHAT?!"

Melody ears twitched slightly, and she kept running ahead, until she saw a giant pair of wings from behind the tree. She sighed in relief, and began walking slowly towards him. She hopped into another branch on the same tree, and then hopped on the end of the branch which Dimitri resided. Landing on both feet, she looked up to him, and scratched the back of her ear,"Hey," she greeted bluntly, walking up to him.

"Let me guess..." he started, deciding not to open his eyes "Morgan informed you as to where I was..."

Melody stopped in front of him, and sighed, taking a seat in front of him on the branch,"Sort of..." she replied, looking up at him, while swaying slightly," If you consider 'he's in some tree' your location, I guess so."

Dimitri chuckled lowly "Informative enough..."

Melody smiled lightly, then looked ahaed to the bright sky, legs swinging lightly,"Look..." she started, looking downwards, apologetically,"I'm sorry about this morning..."

He shrugged nonchalantly "Just to let you know... I wouldn't have hesitated to shoot you,"

Melody paused for a while, and turned to Dimitri, giving him somewhat of a sad look. She nodded gravely,"I know." she replied.

"I can be very callous with people," he repeated from earlier "Don't try me,"

Melody bowed her head slightly towards her feet, and nodded somewhat obidiently,"Okay,"

"Anyways," he sat up, letting his legs fall over the side of the branch "Why're you here?"

She sighed,"Because I care...and I just wanted to say sorry."

Dimitri cocked an eyebrow "...Why?"

Melody looked to Dimitri, and shrugged sheepishly,"I don't know," she replied, looking to her feet again, turning red,"I just...I just do, okay?"

"...'' he blinked "Why, though?"

She sighed, aggrivated,"Agh, I don't know...! I guess I just...never stuck with someone for more than two hours. It's been weird tagging around with you and Fleance, you know?" Melody sighed, and slowly looked to Dimitri,"And...your presence vaguely seems familiar." she smiled slightly.

His brows furrowed "..." he turned and looked forward "Funny..."

Melody blinked at him, and looked to her feet again,"Heh, I know..."

He sighed, banging his head against the trunk of the tree "They -" bang "- erase -" bang "- your -" bang "- memory -" bang "- if -" bang "- you-" bang "..."

He stopped banging his head due to the fact it made his sentences slower "They erase your memory if you weren't originally supposed to be in Heaven,"

She eyed him, and cocked an eyebrow at him. Melody looked on with slightly curiousity,"Really?...you mean...you weren't supposed to be in Heaven?" Melody asked. Maybe that's why he was strangely sadistic for an angel...

"I was supposed to be in Hell... but I don't remember why I got in Heaven, nor what Hell was like..."

She grimaced slightly- imagining the cold Dimitri working along side with Kaine...if that were so, she and Fleance would probably be dead. Melody nodded,"Wow...were you really that bad?"

"... I don't remember,"

Melody tinted slightly red,"Oh...um...right..." she shifted slightly,"Sorry,"

He just shrugged, though this was the very topic that was grating on his nerves.

Melody swayed again,"Anyways..." she said, the silence getting to her again.

Dimitri sighed "You can go now," he looked at her evenly "I don't trust myself at the moment,"

She looked to him, a slightly worried expression plastered on her face,"Um...okay...you sure?"

"Yes.. right now... I'm in between fuming at Fleance, fuming at Morgan, fuming at Kaine, and making sure I don't take it out on you," he nodded.

Melody sighed, and hopped out of the tree. She looked back up to him,"Okay...bye, I guess. Try and find me if you need me." she smiled, and began to walk off,"Good luck with your brooding..."

Dimitri rolled his eyes and went back to his brooding accordingly.

Morgan rapped on Kaine's door, leaning on the hallway wall.

Kaine's ears perked up slightly, and opened the door, eyeing Morgan up and down,"Hey," he smiled, and opened up the door for her.

Morgan smiled lightly and went into his room accordingly "You best watch that window of yours," she said off handedly.

Kaine sighed, and closed the door, following behind her,"I know..." eyeing his room slightly, his face fell slightly,"Sorry, it's kind of a mess."

Morgan smirked, picking a shirt off the floor "Meh.. I've seen worse..."

Kaine chuckled lowly, and nodded,"Aye, so I've realised." he plopped himself on the couch, and shifted over, gesturing for Morgan to take a seat.

Morgan sat obediantly, crossing her legs under her. "Found him again," she said, puncturing small wounds in her finger tips with her nail.

Kaine looked to her, eyebrows raised,"Who, that Dimitri guy?"

"Yup... he was brooding in some tree," she smirked "Suppose your little 'leave him there to bleed to death' plan didn't work out too well,"

Kaine swore under his breath,"Damn...well, it seemed like a good idea. I guess someone must've helped him or something."

"Feh. Guess who..." she spoke acidly as her hand trailed to her pocket where it retrieved the feather she had obtained earlier. She clutched it lightly and stared at it, brows furrowed.

Kaine blinked,"You mean the scrawny bitch we met up with earlier?" his eyes trailed to the feather she held in her hands, and his face fell slightly.

"Yup. Same one; she went out looking for him..." she answered promptly. She turned to look at him and noticed his expression "What?"

Kaine looked back to her face, and sighed, leaning back against the couch,"You still have that thing?"

She looked down to the feather "I only just remembered it now..." she glanced up at him "Hate it like acid, you do?"

He nodded, glaring at it with great disdain,"Yeah..." Kaine muttured.

"So..." she blinked, twirling it "Why'd you take it?"

Kaine closed his eyes, and sighed,"I don't know," he replied,"I just thought if I had something that was his, maybe it'd be easier to track the little bastard down." he explained,"It was...stupid."

Morgan shook her head "No..." she sighed and rubbed the feather's hair with her fingers "... But, I like it though,"

Kaine smiled down at her,"That's alright then. Keep it if you want to..." he said. His friendly smile turned into some mischevious smirk,"Is that all you you wanted to come here for...?"

She smirked, sticking the feather between her teeth "Depends..." she grinned.

Kaine laughed lowly, and shifted closer to Morgan, slinging an arm over her shoulder. He leaned his head against hers slightly,"Hm,"

"You know..." she shifted so she was lying on his lap "I have never kissed you before," she smirked.

Kaine blinked down at her, and smirked, leaning down towards slowly,"Well...I think I can change that..." he leaned down further, and pressed his lips against hers.

Morgan smiled against him and lifted her arms to wrap around his neck, twirling his hair between her fingers.

Kaine drew back a bit, and smiled down at her,"Like that, dontcha?" he winked at her, then kissed her again.

Morgan enjoyed the bliss for a few minutes, knotting her fingers in his hair before she drew back slightly and snuggled her face in his neck.

Kaine smiled, and pressed his nose against her hair, smelling it. He smiled, and tugged slightly at her thong which was slightly hanging out, and had his way with her...

(XD)

Melody sighed, as she wandered around the forest again, thinking. Stretching slightly, she twitched her dog ears, and leaned herself against a tree, slumping to the ground,'Well...this is fun...' she thought, staring up at the still brightened sky. She closed her eyes,''AGH! How come people like me always end up so lonely...?!'' she shifted slightly in her place, and her head turned to where she had walked from,'Wonder if that guy's done with his brooding yet...' she smiled slightly.

"Melody, look at this," Dimitri appeared seemingly out of nowhere, pointing at his gut which was bleeding thoroughly "I was in the middle of brooding and your CRAPPY BANDAGING JOB didn't work and I started bleeing again!" he twitched his wings angrily.

Melody peered up to Dimitri, and blinked. She looked down to his bleeding gut, and grimaced,"Oh God....I'm sorry." she said eyeing it,"I guess I rushed it...a bit."

His eyes narrowed , wings twitching inanely "...Yes you did..." he hissed but stood erect, somewhat calmer "However it DID save my life so... thanks anyways," he glared at the bandage job viley as he said this.

Melody sighed, and fished through her bag again,"...I'll redo it if you want me to." she said, while looking through her things.

"It's fine," he growled, already redoing the the bandages himself.

Melody looked up at him, and sighed again, putting the bandages she just found in her bag back, slumping into the tree,"Okay then," she said bluntly.

Dimitri finished, though the job didn't turn out much better than Melody's, and he grimaced. He looked up at her and his brows furrowed "What?"

She looked to him, and narrowed her eyes slightly,"Nothing," Melody snapped.

Dimitri was bitterly reminded of himself just hours ago and he frowned. "Feh."

Melody grunted in reply, and stared tiredly at her knees, mumbling something.

"..." Dimitri shifted uncomfortabley "So... where are you going?"

Melody shrugged,"How the hell am I supposed to know? It's not like I planned this all out or anything after I made my grand escape," she replied in an acid tone,"I didn't expect I'd get this far..."

Dimitri rolled his eyes "Not with the path you're taking,"

Melody looked over to Dimitri, and narrowed her eyes slightly,"It's not like you could've done any better..." she stopped and thought about it, deep and hard for a while,"...you know, forget I said that."

" 'Glory to the newborn king'," Dimitri smirked evilly.

Melody blinked,"Heh," she leaned her head back against the tree trunk, still eyeing him,"You are one, messed up angel..." she said, shifting over slightly. She grinned,"I think I like things better that way," Melody added.

"Of course you do," he crossed his arms loosley over his chest "For if you didn't you'd regret it,"

Melody laughed lightly, and looked lazily to the ground,"I'd count on it." she said, sighing and closing her eyes.

Dimitri glowered adn strode up to her, sntaching her by the collar and dragging her down a path "There is a war going on. We do NOT just sit around doing nothing! Kuroi... As if I'm a general or something," he shook his head and pulled her along.

"Kyah!!" Melody glared up at him as he dragged her along, and sighed irritably, rolling her eyes,"Yes, O mighty master..." she muttured.

"Hey, I don't like being here any more than you do! I'd rather be up in Heaven, sitting around and doing... whatever I used to do before there was a war!" he threw his free hand up and grumbled incoherently.

Melody ran her tongue across her front row of teeth, and spat on the ground,"Okay, okay, sorry..." she said, trying her best to keep standing as Dimitri yanked her along,"But it's not like there's anything I can do right now," she muttured.

"Ha! That's bullshit if I ever saw a cow crap," Dimitri stopped and turned to look at her "So what were your intentions before you ran into me?"

Melody blinked up to him,"..." she sighed, and looked to the side,"Just to find something better...other than that, I had none." she said, giving him a look,"You don't have much time to plan when you're tyring to escape the freaking asylum your master dumps you into while he's 'busy'..."

Dimitri smirked, tightening his grip on her collar "Convict are we...?" he laughed lowly "Well, lets go find something better," it was an empty statement; due to the fact he knew there was nothing better and also he had had no better idea than her as to how to stop the war. But he kept that hidden easily.

Melody fished out a smile, and kept walking,"Fine." she said, looking around,"Um...where are we going?"

"That place, where all the authorities hang out,"

She twitched slightly,"...what?! Are you kidding me?!"

"Pfft," Dimitri smirked again "If I was kidding you'd know it,"

Melody moaned slightly, and lagged behind him,"This is gonna be one hell of a day..." she said, spitting on the ground. She looked back up to him,"...Why, exactly are we going there?"

"To see what they're doing,"

Melody blinked,"Oh...okay..." she said.

Melody looked up at what seemed to be the final destination,"...this it?"

"As far as I know," Dimitri mumbled, stalking up to it.

Melody looked around, before following him suite,"We're gonna walk in there and...then what...?" she asked, hand subconciously travling to the sword banging constantly against her leg.

"Kill,"

She paused for a while, and sighed,"I wasn't expecting a blood bath today, but whatever you say..." Melody swallowed slightly.

Dimitri smirked "C'mon, it'll be fun,"

Melody gave him an uneasy look, but managed a smile,"Okay then..." she stopped as they reached the door,"...you ready?"

He loaded his gun, and got into a ready stance "Ladies first,"

Melody sighed, and pushed her way past him, gripping the door handle,"You choose the greatest times to act like a gentleman..." she muttured sarcastically, beginning to open the door.

"I have my moments," he went inside and looked around. Empty. "Hm."

Melody bit her lip, as they're steps echoed in the empty room,"...they can't all be gone...can they?"

"Who knows..." he stepped around the room, trailing his hand along the wall.

"Hmmm..." Her sword hilt dragged along the floor as she walked along. Melody looked around suspiciously, narrowing her eyes slightly at the sight,"This can't be right..."

Dimitri sighed and leaned against the cold wall, fingers drumming his gun.

She sighed as well, leaning back slightly,"Guess the party's over." Melody turned to Dimitri,"Should we leave, or wait...?"

"No... let's look around..." he pushed himself off the wall and went to the nearest door.

Melody nodded, and followed behind him, after giving a final glance to the front door,"I hope you know what you're doing..." she said.

"Well you can crush that hope because I don't," he kicked the door open. Empty. "Dammit... I want to shoot something,"

Melody sighed, and leaned against the doorway,"That's a new one..." she said sarcastically.

Dimitri shot her a look "Callous..." he gnawed on his lip and wandered into the dark room.

Melody smirked slightly, and followed him into the darkness. She looked around, eyes adjusting to the lack of light,"I heard of roomy places, but this is ridiculous," she said, as they paced about.

"Figures they wouldn't have light..." his hand, out of habit, fumbled in his pocket. He stopped and removed his hand and swore.

Melody gave a inaudiable laugh at Dimitri, and continued to look around. She sighed, kicking the air in front of her, twitching her ears irritably,"Dammit it all!"

Dimitri sighed, and felt a fimiliar aching at the back of his throat, tongue tingling "You have any smokes?" he asked automatically.

Melody blinked, and cocked a brow. She pointed to herself,"Me?" she asked,"I wish I did...just wanna relax, you know?" she fished through her pockets, and slung her bag off of her shoulder. She looked through it,"Um..."

Dimitri gripped his sleeve and he instinstively spit on the ground, chewing mildly on his cheek "Well, do you?"

"Mmmm...NYAH!" she smiled, obviously accomplishing her goal. Melody pulled out a pack of cigarettes, and threw it to Dimitri,"...I thought you gave up smoking."

"Ah!" he caught them and hugged them like a bear "Mm!" he blinked and looked at her "Maybe... do you have a lighter?" he asked, smiling genuinely and rubbing his thumb over the pack.

Melody eyes his obvious joy, and smiled, fishing through her bag,"I got nothing but matches."

"Give em here," he stuck out his hand, whilst staring in bliss at the pack.

Melody stood, up, and tossed the matchbox to Dimitri.

Dimitri clutched and whpped out a match. He lit it up, and set it to a cigarette. Slowly he put the cancer-stick to his mouth; and breathed in. For a moment he looked as if he had seen Heaven (which, ironically enough, he has) and then his eyes drooped shut and he let out a long, satisfying drag.

"Aaahhh..."

Melody sighed, picking up her travel sack, and stretching,"Hmmm..." she yawned, and looked around further,"Agh, where the hell are-" Melody stopped, as she nearly walked into a wall. Sighing in relief, she looked up at the wall. After a few moments, she flinched back, eyes widened,"KYAH, we're on a freaking 'Wanted' poster!!"

He pushed himself off the wall and stumbled over "...wanted...?"

Melody nodded vigourously,"Yeah...wanted..." she looked over at a sketch of herself, and blinked, fixing her hair,"Heh, do I really look that good...?" she smiled to herself.

"No, you don't," he said, eyeing his won picture "They only do that so more ugly, sluggish people will be tempted to find you... and have some fun before the gallows," he grimaced, looking at his face.

Melody narrowed her eyes at him,"Oh, thank you Dimitri..." she said sarcastically, before turning back to the posters,"...do you know who owns this facility...? Heaven or Hell...?"

"..." he thought a moment, rynning his hand along his sketched face "Hell... probably."

Melody nodded, leaning back slightly again, and looking at their sketches,"Makes sense," she said,"Heaven wouldn't want to have an angel hung..." she swallowed slightly.

"Hell doesn't hang people... they..." he trailed off, not exactly wanting to finish his sentence.

Melody looked at him worridly, and nodded in comprehension,"If we don't kick their asses when they get back...then..." she grimaced at the thought, and started pacing around,"M-maybe we should leave now..."

Dimitri frowned and in a swift movement, ripped down the poster, joint dangling warily between his lips. "We're cutting your hair, and changing my hair colour. You'll wear contacts and a banadana, to hide those eyes and ears of yours. I'll do... something with my wings. After that, we tear down every poster we find,"

Melody's face fell, as she stroked a few strands of her hair,"But..." she twitched her ears,"...Okay." she swallowed, drumming her fingers nervously against the side of her neck,"Just...not too short." she eyed Dimitri, and put her hand against her hips,"I think," she started,"We might just have to shave off all that facial hair of yours." she smirked evily.

His hand shot to his chin and he glared "..." he sighed "Okay... Not above the shoulder blade for you, and I keep my facial hair," he spoke slowly and cautiously, stroking the rough strands.

Melody smiled, and nodded,"Okay then," she said, sheathing her sword. She looked around, and blinked,"You still wanna take care of the ones hanging out here...?"

"Of the whats hanging out there?"

Melody sighed,"The authourities who hang around here." she claimed, turning to him.

He smirked, still stroking his chin "Can I use your sword?"

She looked to her sword hanging on her hip, and then back up to Dimitri. Unsheathing it, she handed it over to Dimitri,"Feh, why not...just don't go breaking it. Or permanently staining with it blood..."

"No why would I do that...?" he asked with sadistic innocence, eyes trailing along the shining blade.

Melody smiled, and started pacing around again,"...whatever."

He smirked and eyed the blade again before heading to the door.

Melody followed him suite, looking around once more.

He looked around and steped back, turning around to look up at the building. He caught site of something moving and he smirked.

"Chase is on," he dashed back in the door and went to the other side of the room, kicking another door open. Stair case. He dashed up it, listening steadily for the sounds of the inhabitants.

Melody turned as he ran back past her, and smiled, reaching for her sword hilt- and remembered she'd so stupidly given her sword away. She looked to her waist, and moaned, cracking her knuckles,"Fine..." she muttured, running on behind him.

"...going somewhere?" A figure jumped out in front of them, and smirked, holding a gun up.

"You are--" he swung the sword letting it connect smoothly with the figures forehead. He treated it like an axe. Dimitri sighed, pulling the sword free and going up the stairs again.

Melody grimaced, as the body and it's bloody head tumbled to the floor. She took a deep breath, and ran on after him.

"Oh!" as he ran he pulled his gun out and tossed it to Melody "Sorry bout that," he said over his shoulder, slicing at another individual.

Melody caught his gun, and eyed it slowly. She smirked, as she clicked it for a while,"Heh heh..." she clicked it once more,"...this thing better not shoot at me." she said, whipping around and whacking another cop across the forehead with the gun's handle, knocking him out.

"Just don't point the barrel at your face, dumbass," he said sharply, slicing the arm of another.

Then The windows in the....umm..building?smashed into a thousand pieces flying everywhere then 5 men in pink latex suits came threw the window twin swords at thier sides, maskes over thier face and little hearts on thier suits. They all linned up in a row, then one of the men lunched for an attack at Melody.

Melody parried back, jumping over him as he lunged towards her. She flipped around, and fired two shots at him,"Bastard!!"

The Pink Ninja doged with ease(sp?) and bend down and tryed to trip Melody with his leg as the other 3 went after Dimitri attacking him with thier swords while the one left went after Melody too.

Melody ducked down to her opponent's leg, and grabbed it before he could trip her. She eyed him up and down, and sighed in aggrivation,"What the hell is with the get up?!" she snapped, throwing him into the wall. She fired four more shots are him.

The Ninja dodged three bullets but one skimmed his arm making him bleed. He ran very fast ,almost invisible, and punched Melody in the face.

Melody merely grunted, as she flew backwards. She winced loudly, as her back hit the wall. Once she fell to the floor, she looked back up at the foe, thinking of her next move. She shot more bullets at him, while running rapidly towards him.

Two Bullets hit the guy and he died! He soon fell to the ground... bleeding! Then, the other assassin came and up running fast and kicked Melody right in the chest.

Melody made a choking sound, then fell back hard onto the floor. She coughed several times, gasping for air, because he'd knocked the wind out of her,"God..." Cough! "...dammit!!"she sat up, and raised her gun shakily at her attacker.

The ninja kicked the gin away "Phew...not very good fighters" SHE said and held the gun at Melody's forhead. The Ninja was about to shot but put the gun back in her pocket and ran out the window followed by the other four other ninjas.

Melody sat there, as she watched them run. Moaning in irritation, she warily got up, and rubbed her head,"Either that was a rogue squand of ninjas, or just a bunch of fucked up cops..."

"Most likely the latter..." Dimitri said, clutching sword in an axe-like fashion "I'm not holding this right, am I?"

Melody's eyes trailed to his hands, and she smiled getting up,"Depends how you wanna use it...but for that kind of sword, swinging it like an axe all the time won't really get you anywhere." she walked over to him,"Position your hands as if you were about to swing a baseball bat..." Melody reached over to his hands, and adjusted them ,"Like so..."

"I've never played baseball," he said disdainfully, fixing his hands accordingly.

Melody blinked, and looked up to him,"Really...? Oh...sorry," she smiled sheepishly,"I didn't know."

"Meh," he shrugged, shifting his hands around "Even if I did, I wouldn't have remembered,"

Melody sighed, and started pacing around,"Well, I think that's the last of the danger we'll see in here for today...should we go ?"

"Mmhm," he said absently, swinging the sword clumsily.

Melody nodded, and made her way to the door,"Time to lose some of my hair..." she said, swinging the door open.

"Oh yeah!" he grinned mischeviously and followed, smirking.

Melody moaned slightly, bring her hair over her right shoulder, and running her fingers through it,"Mmmm..." her dog ears drooped slightly. She spat on the ground, and turned to Dimitri,"Anyways, what colour are you chaning your hair to...?"

"Dunno," he gave her back her sword, and dug around in his pocket. Finding what he was looking for he pulled out his switch blade "So, would you like to kiss it good-bye?"

Melody looked at her soft hair for a while, and nodded softly,"Yeah...better do it sooner than later."

"It'll grow back..." he said non chalantly, seizing one lock of the hair and eyeing it. He chopped it off. "There, was that so bad?" he asked moving to the next lock.

Melody winced slightly, as she felt the lock of hair brush down her leg, and onto the ground. She looked at it, and sighed, eyeing it's pink and light brown wonder,"No..." she replied bluntly.

"Exactly" he cut off a few more locks and moved around to Melody's front. "Hmm..." he evened out her bangs a little, so they were similar to the way they were before... just even with the rest of hair "There,"

Melody's dog ears tweaked, as she flipped her shorter hair back. She looked at the locks of her old hair surrounding her feet, and sighed. She picked them up, and threw them in a garbage can,"If anyone found all my hair directly in front of this facility, then they'd know that I cut it...wouldn't be smart." she said, instead of the whining that she supressed inside.

Dimitri sighed as well "You can whine if you want. I have to go see that elf, Rayan what's-his-face,"

Melody blinked,"You mean the poor guy without a roof?" she scarctched her head,"Feh, I'm tagging along...I wanna say sorry to him again. I'd be swearing my mouth off at someone if they crashed through my roof..."

"Yeah well, I need hair dye and I'm not willing to pay for it," he turned his head to look at Melody as he walked "Nice kid, he is,"

She nodded,"He seemed like it," Melody said, as she kept pace with Dimitri.

Dimitri nodded. He stuck out his hand behind him "Gun,"

Melody blinked, and her eyes traveled to his gun hanging off of her belt,"Oh." she plucked it off, and handed it to him,"Right."

Dimitri clutched the gun sentamentally. "Thank-you," he mumbled, running his thumb over the handle.

Melody sighed, and looked ahead,'There's a long road ahead of us...too long for one.'

Rayan sat humbly on his couch, staring at the gaping whole in the roof. He'd been in the same position almost all day- reading books in elven text, munching on some bread, and thinking about the strange likes of Dimitri. He sighed, slumping slightly,"Feh..."

Dimitri rapped on the door, fingering his gun absently.

Rayan's head perked up, as did his ears. He twitched them, and got up, opening the door,"I'm busy-" he lied, before looking at Dimitri and Melody standing at his doorway. He blinked,"Oh...um, hi!"

Dimitri smiled slowly "..Hi," he shifted his gun to his holster and crossed his arms loosley over his chest "Can we come in? Melody promises she won't break anything,"

Melody shot a glare at Dimitri. But she concluded to a solemn nod,"Yeah..."

Rayan smiled, and got out of the doorway,"Yes, of course. Come on in."

Dimitri smiled back, stepping into the familiar house, and looking around tentavely.

Melody smiled, and nodded to Rayan again. He blinked as she walked by, looking up and down at her,"Cut your hair?" he asked, blinking.

Melody turned to him, and smoothed her hair back,"Yes." she said,"Actually, he cut my hair."

Rayan cocked his head, and nodded,"Okay then..." he turned to Dimitri,"So, what brings you here?"

"I need hair dye," Dimitri said bluntly, folding his wings in so that they didn't hit anything in the room around them.

Rayan raised his eyebrow, oblivious to their current situation,"Hair dye? Sure, I can make some...erm, what for?"

"... Hair,"

Rayan turned slightly red, and coughed,"Ahem, okay then..." he blinked, and turned over to his cupboard,"What colour?"

Dimitri ran an unsteady hand through his hair "Um..." he looked at Melody "What color...?"

Melody looked over at Dimitri's dark black brown hair, and blinked. Her face fell slightly- she couldn't imagine his hair in any other colour. She liked the texure, and the colour, the roughness, and they way it fell all wispy against his head when he sweat and...(^^;;)

She shook her head out of her dreamy state, and blinked again,"Erm...uh..." she strode over to him, and poked his head,"Feh, I dunno...dark red? Or something..." Melody snickered,"I can't imagine you as a blonde. Feh...I dunno."

"Hm... I like dark red..." he shrugged, cocking an eyebrow at her "Whatever, it has eternity to grow out again anyways,"

Melody turned red, and nodded,"Okay, dark red it is, I guess..."

Rayan nodded," 'Kay then. Take a seat on the couch or something...read a book."

Dimitri's face lit up at this suggestion and in a second he was at the bookshelf, scanning the titles. He sighed contently.

Melody's eyes followed Dimitri, and she stretched, soon plopping herself on the couch,''Thank you, Rayan."

Dimitri looked up from the titles and smiled "Yeah, thanks,"

Rayan poured in a few sorts of liquids into a pot, and then some colouring solution. He turned fron him job to the two of them, and smiled,"Anytime."

Melody nodded at him, and then stared at the whole in the ceiling,"...still really sorry about that."

Rayan began to stir the solution with a wooden spoon, looking quite accomplished at his evolving work,"Gyah, it's fine."

"Gyah?" Dimitri didn't look up from the book he was reading, but inquired the alien noise anyways.

Rayan looked over to him briefly, and smiled,"Gyah." he said proudly,"My little...spazzy...word thing." he blinked in thought, and returned to his work,"So, why're you changing your hair colour, Dimitri?"

"Why, do you like it this way?" he asked mildly, avoiding the question.

Rayan laughed to himself,"No, just wondering."

"Hm..." he flipped a page "Up for a change, I've lived with this hair colour for... awhile..."

Rayan nodded,"Okay then...almost done."

Dimitri set down the book and strode over to the pot. He sniffed it and grimaced "That's going in my hair?"

Rayan smirked, and nodded,"Yep. I know, it stinks like hell...but it works good."

Dimitri grinned sadistically "Heh heh... I'll have like... bloody hair or something,"

Melody sighed, getting up, striding up to the two of them,"Feh, it suits you then,"

He shot her a look, but shrugged it off, eyeing the substance "So.... when's it ready?"

Rayan leaned forward, and sniffed it. He shot backward, and started coughing,"Okay, it's ready."

Melody snickered lightly.

"Mmm..." Dimitri ran his hand through dark hair again, sighing "Okay, let's get this over with..."

Rayan smiled, and nodding, pulling up a seat by a table for Dimitri,"Climb on in."

Dimitri sighed disdainfully, taking a seat obediaently. He eyed a dark strand that fell in his face affectionately before blowing it away and sighing again.

Rayan fished some rubber gloves out of the cabinet, and slipped them on,"Okay then, you'd rather do this with the sink, or a bucket of icy water...?" the answer was probably evident, but he asked anyways.

Melody eyed Rayan, and cocked her eyebrow, walking behind Dimitri, and beside him. She whispered quietly,"You got any idea how to do this...?"

Rayan looked to her, and smirked, shaking his head.

She rolled her eyes, and leaned against the table irritably.

Dimitri glared at him "The sink... Now do this before I hurt you!"

Rayan's eyes traveled to Dimitri and he sighed, dragging his chair lazily towards the sink, and started running the water. He looked to Dimitri, and sighed,'He's nice, but pushy...' he thought. His urge to dunk his entire head into the running water rose slightly. He grumbled, and pulled up the bowl of his hair dye solution, and began.

Time jump...

Dimitri ran his hands through his new hair, looking in the mirror tentatively. "Oh my...." he stroked the strands in mild awe "I'm a redhead."

Melody smiled, leaning back to look. She tussled his hair,"Suits you," she said.

Rayan smirked,"I must say, my work his good." Melody shot him a look,"You mean my work...the minute you tried pouring the whole thing on his head, I jumped in."

He sneered,"Meh..." he smiled sheepishly,"At least it worked...!!"

Dimitri eyed his hair "But... do I look as... intimidating...?"

Melody blinked to him,"Um...yeah...?" she scratched her head,"If not as intimidating, more blood soaked..."

"..." he turned back to the mirror, shaking his head around as if to see the effect "...yeah..."

Melody stretched,"Well, that's done," she said, pacing around,"Thanks, Rayan."

Rayan nodded to them,"Feh, anytime...erm.." he shifted slightly,"Just out of curiousity...why the sudden change of physical appearance?" he asked to both of them.

Dimitri dropped his hand and turned to him "Care to explain this Melody?" he asked bitterly, side-glancing at her.

Melody looked back to him uneasily, and sighed, turning to Rayan,"...you sure you wanna know?"

Rayan smiled, and nodded, leaning back against the table freely,"Pfft, yeah." he looked to his feet,"You act like it's a bad thing..."

She rolled her eyes,"It is," Melody said.

Rayan shurgged,"Well, go on,"

"...we're wanted."

Rayan's eyes widened, and he blinked,"...You serious?"

She nodded,"Yeah..."

"I didn't think you guys were that bad!!"

"...we aren't," Dimitri said firmly, running his hand through his hair yet again "Everyone else is,"

Melody sighed and nodded,"There's a big difference between being wanted by Heaven, and wanted by Hell, Rayan...Hell's the one that put us in the pile of shit." she said to him,"So it's not really our fault."

Rayan eyed them both, and sighed as well,"I guess you're right..."

Melody hand balled into a fist,"I bet Kaine had something to do with this.."

Dimitri reflected with hostility on his previous encounter with the vampire, and he grimaced. "No doubt..."

She yawned, and stretching beinning to pace,"Well, now that we're somewhat back on our feet, we'll be ready for him the next time he comes around..." Melody looked to the sky through the whole in the roof,"Well, that's what I want to believe..." she thought aloud to herself.

"Well, then don't say things like that out loud," Dimitri said nonchalantly. He turned to Rayan "Thank-you, again, for everything," he said genuinely smiling, before turning back to Melody; grim expression "Let's go hunt some vampire,"

Melody smiled slightly, and nodded,"Hell yeah," she turned to Rayan,"Ah, yes, thank you."

Rayan nodded,"Anytime."

Melody nodded to him, and smiled, beginning to make her way towards the door. Rayan bit down on his lip, and stepped forward,"Erm, wait...!!"

Dimitri stopped and turned his head "Yeah?"

Melody blinked at Rayan. He shifted slightly in his spot, kicking his left heel sheepishly,"You know, since you're wanted and all, and I know your whereabouts and new looks and stuff...I could spill it to Kuroi Gaide..." he said,"Sooo...you wouldn't want that information slipping out, would you?" he smiled slightly.

Melody looked up and down at Rayan, and smirked, laughing,"You just wanna tag along, don't you?"

Rayan's face fell,"Uh, yeah..."

She turned to Dimitri,"Well, what do you think?"

Dimitri smirked mildly and stalked up to Rayan, slinging an arm across his shoulders "Suuuure! Why not? You can tag along," he grinned deviously, then he darkened "Just don't piss me off,"

Rayan eyed Dmitri, and swallowed nodding,"O-okay then..." he said, smiling slightly.

Melody sighed, scratching her head,"Let's go...Kaine'll be up and going soon." she looked to the crimson sky,"It's sunset..."

"Mmmgh..." Kaine turned over, and stared over at the ceiling from the floor. He blinked, as light began to fade through the curtains. Smiling, he sat up,"Morgan...you still heeere...?"

"MARSUPILE ATTACK!" Morgan lept on him in a bear hug, face flushed "No Kaine, I left..."

"GAH!!" Kaine fell over against his couch, as Morgan tackle-hugged him. He sighed, smiling down at her,"Heh..." he blinked, and cleared his throat, staring through the curtains,"Ahem, anyways, it's sunset...best be off." he looked back to Morgan, and gave her an evil smirk,"I think we had enough fun in here for the day."

She giggled deviously, rolling off of him and landing with a soft thud on the floor. "Where...?" she asked unnessacarily.

Kaine stood up, and stretched, walking over to a corner of the room, before he grabbed his coat of the coat rack,"I've still got some unfinished buisness to attend to, dear." he said, slipping his jacket on,"Anyways, now that I've got those brats under Kuroi's eye, we gotta find 'em again." he peered down to Morgan on the floor.

She sighed propping herself up on her elbow "Okay," she looked around idly "You ripped my jeans you know," she stood and rocked back and forth on her heels "Kinda... dominant ain't you?" she skipped over to him, kissed his nose and pranced out the door.

Kaine stood blinking, but his dumbfounded face slowly formed into a smile. He sighed, and followed on after her, closing the door behind him,"That I am, Morgan."

Melody kicked a stray rock that lay in front of her, as the three wandered through the night. She sighed, looking the where the sun once was. She spat on the ground again,"Ahhh..." her ears twitched, and she stopped. Melody reached up to her ears, and stroked them, beginning to walk again,"I really should hide these..."

"Oh that reminds me!" Dimitri dug around in his coat pocket before revealking the object of his desire. "I snatched it from Rayan's living room, wear it as a bandanna," he explained tossing it at her. He twitched his wings which kept getting caught in random bracnhes "Man, I hate the woods..."

Rayan sighed,"I know...I swear, woods, forests, and freaking trees are everywhere nowadays.."

Melody blinked, and tied the piece of cloth around her head. She twitched her ears under the bandana like thing,"Yeah," she added absently.

Dimitri sighed, deciding to walk with his eyes closed as his tongue clicked idly. "Where are we going anyways?"

Melody stopped, and turned to Dimitri,"You're the one that said 'Let's go hunt some vampire.' "

"Well I know that," Dimitri sighed in mock exasperation "No, I mean where are we going... Like, to the ocean, the desert, more damn woods...."

Melody cocked her head, as she looked to Dimitri in thought for a while,"Umm..." her rears twitched under her bandana,"..."

Rayan heaved a heavy sigh,"I'm guessing that means you don't know."

"Hm,"Melody's face flushed red, and she turned abruptly to Rayan, glaring him down,"Shut-"

Rayan leaned back, and made a mock dissapointed expression press on his face.

Her face fell, and she sighed,"He's right..."

Dimitri smirked "Well, well, well..." he laughed shortly, fingering his gun absently "Where do you think a vampire would go...?"

Melody snarled,"The bastard would probably be in some Tavern having fun with his whore..." she muttured.

Rayan cocked a brow, and shrugged,"Maybe to one of the eastern towns...Hell's having a festival there, so I've heard."

"... Hell's having a festival....?" Dimitri shuddered involuntarily at the thought if what, in God's Name, the horrid, placid, sadistic things even his disturbed mind could not think of, they'd be doing.

Melody looked to Rayan, dumfounded,"Are you serious...?"

Rayan nodded gravely,"Dead serious," he replied, beginning to walk again,"My brother warned me about traveling eastwards, since he's been through the tough road before. Took him forever to get past the eastern town of Dorämi, which inhabits namely creatures of hell, since you need to get past there to head to Argazeth- the floating city...the only city that still relies on human technology."

Melody gaped at him,"...Whoa."

"..How am I supposed to just walk into a Festival of Hell...?" Dimitri asked, twitching his wings irritabely, clearly annoyed. And scared as well but God knows he would never say so.

"Wellll..." Melody eyed Dimitri, and walked over to him, pulling at his feathers,"You could be like, eagle man...or something..."

"..." His eye twitched "Eagle... man?" ... ... "What am I? A superhero?"

Melody rolled her eyes,"Well, excuuuse me, it's not like you can think of anyting better."

Dimitri was baout to say a witty comeback when A loawning comprehension gaced his face. "Be back," he said bluntly before trotting off into the woods.

Rayan blinked as he went off into the woods, and laughed slightly, shaking his head,"You two act kinda juvenile."

Melody looked to him, and shrugged, twitched her ears as she always did,"And I care... because...?"

Rayan grunted, but smiled all the same, and eyed her carefully. He cocked his head,"You...remind me of someone..."

Melody arched a brow, and cocked her head in the same direction as he did as well,"!! You too...?!"

Rayan blinked again,"What do you mean 'you too'?!"

"Gah, I mean--" Melody started waving her arms around, trying to think of what to say. Soon she just moaned in annoyance, and , started pacing around,"Ju-just forget it...!!"

Dimitri came back mere moments later, trudging a bit slower and nver in a straight line. He stumbled back over to Melody and Rayan, wings twitching creepliy as new found blood soaked and stained once white feathers. He paced over to Rayan and grabbed him by the collar. He lifted his head to look him in the eye, hhis eyes trailing blood down his cheek like a death-kissed river. He grinned sadistically and started mumbling "...Hello, Rayan..." more crimson liquid working its way over his curled lip.

Rayan froze totwally, and his eyes widened, nearly traumatized. He swallowed, and frantically started to whimper,"H-holy crap...!!"

Dimitri laughed lowly and stepped back, clapping Rayan on the shoulder "Think I look hellish?" he asked teasingly, standing erect again.

Rayan gaped,"Well no shit!!" he snapped, still creeped out,"You scared the crap outta me, man!!"

Melody eyed Dimitri wide eyed as well, as the ground he stood upon was soaked in the crimson,''W-well yeah!! What the hell did you do?!"

Dimitri cocked an eyebrow "Do you really want to know?" he asked darkly.

She sniffed the air slightly, and started coughing and choking with the think scent of blood surrounding them,"...no." Melody replied. She heaved a heavy sigh,"Well, now that bloody angel's over here's ready...what about Rayan?! He's a freaking elf, they'll dice him into pieces!!!"

Rayan gave an appalled look to Melody,"Aw, well, thanks a lot for the moral support, Mel..." he said sarcastically, spitting on the ground,"I wouldn't be talking, without your dog ears visible, it looks like you have no ears...what are you, an earless human or something?!"

Melody snarled,"It's not MY fault I can't show my ears...in case you haven't noticed, me and Dim are wanted, I can't waltz in and go,'Yeah, here I am, go on and capture me, and blow me ,and DICE ME INTO PIECES!' "

Dimitri looked between the two combatting individuals and blinked. Being only a about an inch taller than Rayan, he felt unimportant dominance and placed a hand on either of their head "Children, children, settle. There's enough blood for everyone,"

Rayan and Melody blinked, nearly simultaneously. Rayan heaved another sigh, as Melody spat on the ground. She smiled slightly,"Heh, this'll be fun," she said.

Rayan looked up at Dimitri's hand, and swatted it away,"Nyeh...do you think we'll pass as weird things from hell?"

"Depends," he shrugged nonchalantly, resting his hand in blood soaked pockets "I will, I mean, I was supposed to be in Hell anyways but there ya go. You on the other hand have to stop looking so happy-go-lucky and sleep around some, get some sins on your back," he grinned toothily.

Rayan glared over at Melody,"If spitting was a sin, the girl would be in the deepest whole they can find in hell." he snapped at her, spitting mockingly at her feet.

Melody stepped back, and shot daggers back at him,"Feh...if spitting was a sin, it would help a lot with a current situation now, wouldn't it, Rayan?" she snapped back.

Rayan shrugged,"Anyways...Dim's right. Let's go...sin..." his eyes shifted, and he smiled,"Heh, I think I like some sins better than others." he grinned to himself.

I have a nickname... he shrugged mentally before taking in Rayan's comment and smirking. He walked beside him slinging an arm over his shoulder "Whores everywhere, my friend,"

Rayan laughed slightly, and began walking again. Melody rolled her eyes, and mumbled something darkly, following.

Dimitri groaned "If you guys are so against sinning, go kill a deer or something. Death always wins with sin, and plus there's way les regret for you non-sinners," he said as if it was a wonderful suggestion.

Melody grunted,"Fine," she replied, hopping into a tree. She hopped into another branch, and sighed, eyes drooping onto a bird nest. She sat into it, and then kicked it over, ears twitching at a loud thud onto the ground,"There...! Four dead!"

"Doesn't count, bitch," Dimitri waved a finger "They were babies. Biabies nevber count unless they die from 'shaken baby syndrome', cause that's the cruelest way,"

Melody looked down to him, and hung her head down,"Aghhhh..." she hopped back down, and kicked a rock,"How the hell am I gonna do this..." she kicked the rock again.

He tossed her his gun, which he had been clicking absent mindedly as she killed the birds "Shoot somebody,"

Melody caught hold of the gun, and eyed it, looking back to Dimitri,"You mean...just a random person?!"

"Uh, yeah," he rolled his eyes, "Just any random person like... Rayan for example..." he blinked "But don't-- shoot him, no need for that... someone like... tha guy," he pointed nonchalantly to some old man some yards away from them.

Melody looked over there, and her eyes widened. She hopped down to Dimitri, and thwacked him over the back of the head as she did to Rayan,"He's a freaking elder!!"

"...so?" he asked, rubbing the back of his head.

"...so he's an old man!! I can't kill him, he porbbably has family who needs him, and a wife who doesn't wanna be a widow! It's unjust...!!"

Rayan snarled,"When you guys kill people from hell, and go on into a battlefield, you don't know who you're killing, and they might as well have family who loves them too...killing an innocent old man is no different." he explained with a casual tone,"Niether is killing an animal...we all have lives, and hearts, no matter what we are. In war, our similarites are brought out even more-- since we need to kill. We have to kill... it's the only way the survive in this world. Life's unjust...so suck it up, and shoot him, princess."

Melody cocked her head at him, trying to take his words in. Her face turned grave, and without another word she walked off into the old man's direction. Swallowing, she clicked Dimitri's gun the way he repeatedly did,"Sorry, sir..." she whispered, holding the gun up to him,"...it's time to go to a better place...one without sin. One without...all this..." Melody bit her lip, and closed her eyes, pulling the trigger.

Bang.
