Quick Facts

Appearance...
- Kraken appear feature for feature like a squid, only reaching lengths of 80' to 120' at largest.
- Their many arms flail above the surface giving them similar appearance to an aged Hydra. The grappling arms are easily identified as they have a diamond shaped pad used to wrap and crush targets.
- Most Kraken have incredibly large eyes that are larger than most dinner plates. Granting them superior accuracy from under the waves.
Habitat...
- Deep Oceans in theory, as large whales will dive to search for Kraken prey.
- Kraken are very elusive, and so quick that they can strike without warning against even the most alert of ships.
- Kraken attacks seem to center around the Centra Archipelago, centered among the Benestrom of the Great Atoll, leading some philosophers to agree on a theory of a nesting ground within the deep bulge of water.
Behavior...
- With long grappling arms, Kraken easily wrap around a target as they crunch into it with their tough beaks.
- Kraken are very quick, and if they target a ship there will be little if any warning to a crew under attack by them. Most Kraken strike from below, but some less experienced Kraken will attack head on in tactics they use against cetaceans.
- Kraken always seem fastest in retreat, with their jets facing towards their tentacles.
