Appearance...
- Winter Coras are very gentile birds, but they are still birds of prey and show it with very sharp beaks used for slicing.
- Covered in a thick downy layer of feathers with a top layer which traps heat and keeps the winter cora very warm even in a chilling blizzard.
- Winter Coras are abnormally tall, standing at a maximum of twelve foot into the air. However at a comfortable stance they are well within human height for mounting.
Habitat...
- Vinincia, Grier lands. Adon, Wynthier.
- Winter Coras are permafrost dwelling creatures, capable of sprinting long distances across the open tundra.
- Winter Coras are reknowned for their caves which they make to escape harsh weather conditions in the winter season.
Behavior...
- Winter Coras are predatory birds, and they attack smaller land mammals with their large crushing beaks. Typically they hunt after seals which hide just below the layers of ice.
- While capable of jumping long distances, Winter Coras are more comfortable with flat lands and rolling hills.
- Many of these large birds are good long distance runners, but fail to sprint at high speed during a charge. Often they are used by Oranna Cavalry because of their build and distance covering capability.
