Code Name: Manhattan Blockade Incident
Popular name for the series of bizarre incidents occurring over the last week of Dec, 1998 on Manhattan Island. These events, including mass homicide (by 'psychokinetic manipulation') and the destruction of police property ended with a forced evacuation and temporary blockade of the island. Marines brought the situation under control, but not before the toll of the dead and missing rose to 1287 persons.

The official report states that Dr. Hans Klamp was solely responsible for this act of organized terrorism and the creation of the artificial virus that made it possible.  Other sources hint at a government cover up.
