Races Of The Four Circles

The lands and peoples of the world are hugely diverse. For example, Humans are a race so varied by the lands that they live in that there are none alike. Here are details on the appearances and traits of some of the different races.

Humans:
This race is the most dominant in the world, their various forms controlling the majority of the land, yet they vary immensely. The appearances of the various Futro Humans can be found at T4C Futro. As for the Inkrozians, they are often of an average height, slim yet muscular, due to their lifetime of war-training, and have dark hair, dark eyes, and darker skin. Humans are stronger than Elves yet are weaker than many of the other races. They are prone to sickness, but are resistant to death from most contagions. They are also regarded as slightly stupid creatures, and with short life-spans. Most Humans die before the age of 70. Anyone older is often revered and looked after. The height of an adult can be anything between 5' or 6'6". Some Humans are born with magikal capabilities too, and often are trained to become Magi.

Ogar:
The trader folk that exist mostly in Skavvin and in some of the Northern Futro lands. Much larger than Humans, as well as stronger. Their intellectual capabilities are also greater, yet most of this is focussed on bartering and deals. Full-grown Ogar are often between 6'2" and 8' tall. They have an average lifespan of around 400 years, yet a few have lived almost twice that age. They are slow to anger, and are a largely calm folk. They have great skill in smithing, and have much knowledge on the properties of different metals. Appearance wise, they have wider faces than those of a Human, and their bodies are often more rounded. They have six fingers on each hand, an evolutionary trait from being great craftsmen. They often are born with thick black hair that eventually turns a silvery colour as they age. Facial hair is common in the males.

Brovanni: These people are an offshoot of an Elven line that live within the Great Forest. Shaped much the same as Humans, they are often shorter, reaching between 4'5" and 5'8". Their hair is often cut short, and is either blonde, golden brown, or red. This colour lasts with them throughout their long lives. As with Great Elves, they have pointed ears, and live until either their life is taken in battle, plague, starvation, or they choose to end it. The Brovanni have excellent eyesight, hearing, and scent capabilities, making them excellent hunters, as well as bandits. They are quick to anger against anyone trespassing on their territory, yet wander about other peoples lands quite happily.

Davorians:
Rulers of Etherealm, and the other Etherians. Stick-like in their skinny bodies, with jutting elbows and ribs, the Davorians are a twisted shape. Only three fingers on each hand and toeless, and an elongated skull with large eye sockets. They use magik in all they do; moving about, eating, talking telepathically even. They are much smaller than many other races, ranging between 3' and 4' tall, but their abilities with magik make them formidable. Their hairless bodies are grey-skinned and smooth. Davorians trust no-one but themselves. They very rarely leave Conjecture, and when they do, it is often only to visit an area in Etherealm.

Gurula:
These large creatures are the workforce of Etherealm, and are the brawn behind the brains of the Davorians. They are the only race to come close to the size of the Ogar, ranging between 6' and 7' tall. They resemble goats more than they do Humans. They stand on two legs, yet these are hoof-cloven, their muscular bodies covered almost totally in fur, with their beast-like heads horned with either two or four straight horns, which were used as weapons before they became cultured and took to using steel and iron. They are very quick to anger at any insults or misjudged slights against them or their families in any way. The only peoples they fear are the Davorians. The fur and colours of eye vary due to the lineage of family, and some even have mixed colourings.

Angeli:
These winged people are very human like in appearance apart from the large wings that protude from their backs. The wings are feathered, and this feathered patter reaches to their backs and covers the back, shoulders, and buttocks of the Angeli. They are often between 5'4" and 6'2" tall when full-grown, and their muscular structure is often slightly lesser due to the lack of violence in their lives. Their hair colour varies hugely, and the colour of their feathering is often the same if not similar to that of their hair. They cloth themselves in many different styles of garments.

Great Elves:
The original clan of Elves. They live long, immortal if they do not die from outside influences. There has never been an Elf who has died of old age. The great Elves are fair-haired, and unlike the Brovanni, often wear their hair long, which can reach their knees if they leave it for many years. They are often slightly taller than Humans, ranging between 5'8" and 6'10" tall. They are infinitely wise, and know the dangers of magik. They are great craftsmen and hunters, and are peaceful to most people as long as they do not act violently towards them (with the exception of the Etherians). Like the Brovanni, they have pointed ears, although the Great Elves ears are not as large as those of the Brovanni. They are the fastest and sleekest warriors in the world.

Troglodytes:
What used to be Human, now changed due to generations of dwelling underground. They range between 4'6" and 5'3" tall, and even then they're stooped over almost constantly. Their fingers and toes are stubby, with stronger nails than Human ones. No hair grows on their bodies, their eyes are a uniform black, their skin pale and thick from the years of being in a rough sunless world. They speak their own language, do not take kindly to other races, and are carnivorous.
