Alexiel meanwhile had given up on trying to keep up with their ruinning pace,for her still being in human form, and her and miroku where following at a slower pace.
"I really didn't think he felt the same way I did about him!" Onyx says, blushing.
Kirara rolled her eyes. 'Humans just don't get it.' She thought to herself. "Could you please hurry? This place has me on edge.
"Oh, sorry!" Onyx puts her shirt back on.
"Not your fault. Inuyasha! You can over here now!" Kirara yells out and stands on the tree limb.
InuYasha pokes his head out from the tree and looks over at Onyx who smiles at him. He blushes and smiles back.
"Right then. Let's go now before something else decides to try and stop us!" Kirara says and jumps down to run in the direction of the temple once again.
Onyx smiles and runs after her.
Kirara cradles the talisman she picked up in the forest. 'Soon I can go back to the way things were. I just need that elixer now.' She slows down a bit so that Onyx can catch up and stoes the item in the leather pouch at her waist.
InuYashsa is ahead of them, looking back at Onyx very so often.
Kirara veers off towards the sound of rushing water.
Onyx and InuYasha follow her.
Kirara comes to a stop in front of a great river. "The River of Dreams..."
Onyx stared for a moment at the river of colors.
"It is acutally here!" She said.
"Did you ever doubt that it wouldn't be?" Kirara asked. "If you doubt anything, you may find yourself in even more trouble than you started in."
"They told me stories about it and I had always wanted to see it but I'm not so sure anymore." Onyx says.
InuYasha looks at her.
"Damn, she's pretty." He whispers.
Kirara's ears twitch. "Perhaps you do't want to see it. It forces you to give into your desires....We have to find a way to cross it and fast before the pull gets so strong that we won't ever leave." Kirara said and started pacing the banks. 'I can't stay here. I have to get that elixer.' she thinks.
The river suddenly swirls and vison of Onyx appears.
"What? That's me!" Onyx says.
InuYasha blushes. Was that his dream?
Kirara frowns, but stays quiet, judging the best way to get away before they discovered what she dreamed of. "It begins." She whispers.
"We need to get over it." Onyx says.
"We can't go anywhere until the illusion ends, then we will have exactly two minutes before the next one begins..." Kirara explains and turns to watch the holographic version of Onyx.
InuYasha covers his eyes in embarssment.
Kirara whispers so that Inuyasha can hear. "I do not think this is your dream yet. JUst watch and see."
"I can't! This is too embarssing!" He says.
"By watching you learn. You want her, no? The learn about her so you can have her." Kirara whispers in his ear.
InuYasha uncovers his eyes and glances over at Onyx. She turns and smiles at him. He smiles back weakly.
The Onyx in the river begins to move. "Watch."
"What's it doing?" Onyx asks looking at herself in the river.
"It looks like it's taking the elixer and running somewhere....T
here's a background, but I can't see where it is. There seems to be people running in the background, but there far away and just blurs..." Kirara describes. "The onyl one who can tell us what that truely means is you, but you don't have to if you don't wish to...But the only way to get across the river is to come to terms with your visions...."
"It looks like me. I'm running towards something. Something very big. I can't tell what it is." Onyx says looking in the water.
"It looks like another mountain. Could that mean that you still have another trail to overcome even after you have reached your goal?" Kirara muses and squints her eyes.
"Its not a mountian. Its a castle." Onyx says.
"Castle?" Kirara raises and eybrow.
"I'm running inside." Onyx says ingoring Kirara.
Kirara observes Onyx. 'What is she not telling us, and why aren't we in the vision...Are we suposed to...gulp...die?' She thinks. 'They have no idea. The river predicts what will come to pass if action is not taken. What will she choose to do?'
"There's someone sitting a huge throne of ivroy. I can't tell if its male and female. I'm---------I'm----------------being attacked by a sandwich?" She asks confused.
"Ok....That's weird, but weirder things have happened I guess." Kirara mutters.
Onyx slowly stands up. "Its gone."
"See that path way in the mists? You have two minutes to get across. Go! We'll come over on the next one, since you can only go one at a time!" Kirara yells and pushes Onyx unto the bridge.
In an instant, Onyx is over.
"Now we wait and see what rises from the mists next." Kirara says as the mists begin to solidify. She tenses up praying that her secret will go with her to the grave.
This time, InuYasha is shown. He doesn't have on his shirt and someone is scratching his ears.
'Thank God!' Kirara sighes and watches the scene that unfolds.
"Ah that feels good!" the dream InuYasha says with a goofy smile on his face.
"Well, I think I know where this is going." Kirara says and sighs.
InuYasha turns around and lays his head on someone's body.
"I do not like where this is going!" the real InuYasha says.
"I do!" Kirara yells out and then mentally recoils in guilt. It wasn't fair to make fun of his pain when she had so recently feared the same fate.
"What? What is it?" Asks Onyx.
"It's Inuyuasha! He's getting his ears scratched and he's laying on someone's lap!" Kirara yells out across the river.
Onyx appears in the vison as the woman's lap whom InuYasha's head is. They are both in a bed without any clothes.
"Oh my God! I am so telling Onyx!" Kirara yelled out and started jumping up and down.
"Do that and die!" InuYasha yells.
"Onyx! You'll never believe who the girl is and what they're doing!" Kirara yells out.
"No, no, no!" InuYasha pleads.
"Give me one good reason." Kirara taunts...still feeling a little guilty, but haveing to much fun to think that much about it.
"What if she doesn't love me back?" He asks, tears forming in his eyes.
"Just give her time....And by the way, I was joking. I'm not telling her anything. Just don't cry on me. My kimono's been through a lot today, it doesn't need you tears on top of everything." Kirara says and examines the rips she made earlier...'I think they can wait for a while longer'
The bridge appears and InuYasha quickly runs over it.
"What was going on over there?" Asks Onyx.
"Nothing." InuYasha says, blushing.
Kirara takes off towards the bride, but gets stopped by an invisible wall. "NOOOO! Oh, God no....You guys can't see what appears in the river over there, Can you?" She yells across.
Onyx is about to answer when she sees a little puddle near her feet. She bends down and gets a closer look.
Kirara shifts around nervously. "Can you?"
"No, why?" Asks InuYasha who doesn't see the puddle.
"Nothing! Forget I mentioned it." Kirara steels her features and turns to watch her nightmare unfurl.
Onyx is staring at the puddle until she hears something.
"Darling, come back to me!" It's the voice! That voice that is beckoning her!
Kirara screams out in terror. Something was so very wrong. There wasn't supposed to be a barrier over the river. There wasn't one the last time she crossed it. Something was so very wrong. Why was the river showing her these terrifying things!
Onyx looks at InuYasha who is currently waiting for Kirara. She sliently slips away, looking for the voice.
"Oh! GOD! NOOOO!!!! Someone stop her! stop her now!" Kirara's eyes are unfocused, seeing something that only she can see.
"Come here my darling." The voice says.
"I am coming, I am coming." Onyx answers.
Kirara lets out one last loud scream and the images disappear. She snaps back to reality and sniffs the air. "SHIT!" She runs across the brigde and past Inuyasha.
"Come to me my sweet! Let me love you! Let me kill you!?
"I will let you." Onyx says.
"Don't do it Onyx!" Kirara yells out. " Choose to stay with us!"
"Guys!!!What's going on?!?!!?"Alexiel yells having just arrived at the edge of the river dragging miroku behind her,full fledged half demon again.
"Don't listen to the other voices my dear. Stay with me. Let me love you. Let me destory you!"
" ONYX!! I know you want to stay with us! Don't throw away your friendships!" Kirara yells out and sniffs the air. 'Damn it! I can't find her scent anywhere. Could it be too late?'
InuYasha runs as fast as he can to find Onyx. He can't loose her. He wants her to know his feelings for her.
"Onyx! You have people who love you here. Please come out from where ever you are! Only you can beat this!" Kirara yells out...
InuYasha sees Onyx in the hands of a man. He's holding her close to his chest. He looks as if he's about to kiss her.
"NO!" He yells.
The man suddenly drops Onyx.
Kirara hurries over to where Inuyasha was. She gasps. "Shit."
"ONYX!" InuYasha runs over to her.
Kirara just stands there watching. 'This is for them to figure out on their own. I am out of place here.'
"Onyx, wake up!" InuYasha cries.
"Inuyasha, be gentle. She has been through a lot." Kirara says quietly.
"Onyx, please wake up!" InuYasha says, holding her closely to his chest.
'She just has to wake up. I will never forgive myself if she doesn't. Never!' Kirara thinks as she slow begins to back away. 'They need privacy. I am only in the way here. If anyone can bring her back, it's him. She doesn't know it yet, but she is falling in love with him.'
InuYasha closes his eyes, trying to keep the tears back but it doesn't work. A tear falls from his face onto her lips. She stirs.
"Ugh, what happened?" She asks.
Kirara's eyes widen. 'It worked! Oh thank you God! It worked!' She remains silent and continues to inch away to give the couple privacy.
Alexiel and miroku run up panting,out of breath."Is-is she ok?"alexiel watches inuyasha worriedly.
Kirara holds out and arm and stops them. "Shh." she whispers. "They need their privacy. I will explain everything that happened later. Just trust me, please."
alexiel grins leaning against miroku."and he said he couldn't fall in love."Miroku smiles nuzzling her hair hand trailing to her butt which causes her to jump.
"Everyone can fall in love, some choose not to." Kirara says and stares at the happy couples with a warm smile on her face.
Alexiel smiles pulling away from miroku and getting closer to kirara."will you do me a favor?"Miroku looks confused.
"Who? Me? I guess." Kirara says looking at Alexiel strangely.
Alexiel smiles grabbing kirara's arm and dragging her out of earshot and making her sit down."Ok...I haveta tell someone something and I dunno how to say it so I want you to listen to what I have.."Alexiel looks a little scared and nervous.
"I'll listen. You don't have to be afraid." Kirara says calmly. She widens her eyes. 'I wonder what has her in such a fluster.'
'Ok...Alexiel takes a deep breat."Well mir-someone um remember right after I ran into sesshy and you took care of me for awhile and well we ended up...uh...well a couple months later I had a baby...and uh.."Alexiel sinks to her knees burying her face in her hands starting to cry."I can't do thhis..."
"I remember that. What happened to the child? Does Miroku know about this?" Kirara asks worriedly. "Alexiel? You're going to be all right. You have me beside you!" Kirara hugs her.
Alexiel leans against her."No he doesn't...riku's staying with sango."
"Sango?" Kirara says and shakes her head. "Never mind. You know that you have to tell him, and Inuyasha....You might want to wait on that last one though. He's been really tense lately. Though I think the question you should be asking yourself would be: Do I want to be with Miroku through it all? If he is the one you love, then it shouldn't matter to him, if he loves you in return. And I think he does."
alexiel nods."he is the one I want to be with..."alexiel stops thinking."do I really have to tell inuyasha?"
"I'm pretty sure he's going to figure it out. He might be slow, but he's not hopeless. You can do anything you set your mind to. Even swaying your brother." Kirara says.
"Wha-----what happened?" Onyx asks as she wakes up.
"Onyx!" InuYasha hugs her. "You're awake!"
"what's going on?" She asks.
alexiel smiles wiping her eyes."Ok...I can do this..I think.."
Miroku meanwhile had just sat down where the girls left him really confused.
"You're alive!" InuYasha says, hugging her.
"What's going on?" She asks him.
"Sh," He says, putting a finger over her mouth. "Just be quite for a while."
"You can do it!" Kirara says and smiles. "Go get that man of yours!"
Alexiel smiles getting up and going to sit by miroku,who sits up huggging her."Miroku....you're a father..."Alexiel looks away from him.Miroku's face goes blank and he stumbles over the word."W-what?"
Onyx suddenly turns around and sees Alexiel with Mirkou. Her heart stops for a moment. She had been so blind!
"what's wrong?" InuYasha hears her crying.
She pulls away from him and runs away.
"what the? Onyx, come back!" He calls after her. "ONYX!"
Kirara watches from a nearby tree. 'Well that didn't turn out very good.' She thinks and jumps down after Onyx. "Inuyasha, stay here. She needs a woman's touch right now." 'What is it with me and helping everybody today?"
Alexiel looks up hearing onyx's shout,then she looks at inuyasha to try and see what was wrong.Miroku still blinking stupidly,it still hadn't sunk in.
Onyx is running faster than she has ever ran. She hears the voice again. She follows it. She didn't know who this man was but she wanted to be with him. He made her feel wanted.
Alexiel smiles getting up,leaving miroku to his own thoughts,before walking over to inuyasha."What did you do?"
"I-----------------didn't do---------------anything," He says. "She just looked over my shoulder and---------------oh no."
"Onyx! Where are you! If you will just listen to me! I'm sure we can clear all of this up so that no gets hurt even more!" Kirara yells out while jumping from tree to tree trying to find the missing girl.
Miroku smiles getting gup and hugging alexiel resting his head on her shoulder.Alexiel looks confused."what?"
Onyx has found a small patch of green and is now crying her eyes out.
"Come with me my dear!" The voice has returned. "Let me take you away from all this."
He offers her his hand and she looks at it for a while before taking it.
"Onyx!" Kirara yells out and gasps. She can't find the girl's scent, just like earlier. It had to be happening again. "ONYX!! NEVER GIVE UP THE LIFE THAT OTHER'S WOULD KILL FOR A CHANCE TO LIVE IT!! NEVER GIVE UP YOUR CHANCE! NEVER!! LIFE IS A GIFT AND YOU NEED TO LIVE IT!! " 'please say she heard me'
Miroku smiles looking at inuyasha.'guess what inuyasha?!I'm a"
Alexiel looks shocked."Dont tell-"
"father!"Miroku grins hugging alexiel.
Alexiel shoulders fall,as she inches away from inuyasha a bit."him."
InuYasha looks shocked. Not by what Mirkou had said but by the way Onyx had ran from him.
"she never loved me?" He asked. "Why didn't I see it? I am a fool. No one can love someone like me."
Alexiel looks confused,then relieved before hitting him outside the head."gimme a break!She loves you!!"Alexiel looks around then realzies it had been her and miroku sitting behind inuyasha.miroku looks surprised that inuyasha hadn't commented on his confession.
"Shit! I need help!" Kirara says and turns back to go find the rest of the group.
"Perhaps I can be of service." a cold voice sneers.
"Damn it all."
miroku waves a hand in front of inuyasha's face."HEllo?did you hear me?your sister had my baby..."Alexiel was looking a little scared.
"What the hell are you doing out here, Sesshoumaru? Trying to beat your little brother and gain your ego back." Kirara goes on the defensive. She knows that she has to get help for Onyx fast.
"I actually came here to settle our score. Tetsusaiga can wait, seeing as I'm sure you would never allow me to get anywhere near it as long as you are living." Sesshoumaru answers.
