The result of a drunken one night stand between Rui's father and her scientist mother, Shani grew up never knowing her father let alone that she had a younger brother. Surrounded by lab work and with the facination of doing things with her hands, she was an engineering prodegy. After discovering from her mother that her birth father was dead and that she had a brother, Shani took it apon herself to seek Rui out in order to protect him and to be by his side.
